Is it just me, or does every single preseason feel like a non-stop loop of "this superstar might be moving"? Every time training camp kicks off, the rumor mill starts churning out these massive names, implying that everything we thought we knew about a roster is about to be flipped on its head.

I remember back in my college days, watching a team we loved, and the constant chatter about a potential blockbuster trade was more distracting than the actual games. It creates this weird tension where you can't even enjoy watching the players develop because you're constantly wondering if they'll even be wearing the same jersey by October. It feels like a lot of it is just noise designed to keep people clicking and talking, but it still gets under my skin.

I get that it's part of the business and keeps the fans engaged, but sometimes I wish we could just focus on the actual football and the players' performance instead of the "what ifs" and the constant shuffling of pieces.

Does anyone else find the constant trade rumors more annoying than exciting, or am I just being a cynical fan?

As for the topic itself, looking at how it's framed and how you put it out there, my take as a mod is that this belongs in, say, the Politics subforum rather than Law. Just look at the response from user krena... actually, granitegull51’s reply here is an even better example. The Law section is meant for technical stuff, not a place for venting or showing support and things like that. For instance, if granitegull51 posted this in the Law subforum, they’d probably catch a warning for making such baseless generalizations...👍

And about that censorship talk—the Law subforum, just like any other, is packed with all sorts of criticism that's still sitting right there, untouched.👍

The whole reason I thought this could only be understood by legal pros—and should be discussed in a legal manner—was because of that disgraceful reasoning from the Supreme Court. If I wanted laypeople weighing in, I would've moved it to politics.

But instead, you chose to censor it when you could've just moved it to politics.

So much for you and your "expert" moderation.

From what I can tell, you'd rather people get free legal advice in the Law subforum while leaving discussions about court rulings to amateurs over in politics.
