I was cleaning out my garage this weekend and stumbled upon an old, beat-up jersey from a local tournament I played in back in college. It’s got stains on it, the fabric is starting to pill, and honestly, it looks pretty pathetic sitting in a cardboard box. But man, just holding it brought back the smell of the grass and that specific adrenaline rush right before the whistle blows.

It’s weird how we cling to these physical scraps of paper or old gear. For me, it isn't even about the sport itself anymore; it's more about holding onto the version of myself that actually had that much energy and zero responsibilities. It feels like a tangible link to a time when everything felt high-stakes and meaningful.

I've got a few other random relics scattered around the house, too. Do you guys have any specific pieces of gear or memorabilia that you know are objectively junk, but you just can't bring yourself to part with?

You guys were never even a real club. Back in the day, you were just puppets for the old administration, and now you're just tools for the current owner. During the early days of independence and through the start of the 2000s, you didn't say a damn word about those gifted titles you all celebrated. You just turned a blind eye because you wanted that "sacred" name back. You fought tooth and nail for a name, but you never actually fought for the club itself. And don't even get me started on you mocking us for having power outages during the war—real classy move there. To be honest, personally, I find you guys even more slimy than the big rivals in New York or Chicago. You’ve been stabbing everyone in the back for years. And all that talk about being this "great American institution," a symbol of patriotism and faith for the common man? Give me a break. That's fairy tale stuff for toddlers. Back in the old league days, you were just bottom-tier nobodies because you didn't have some corrupt tycoon pulling the strings for you. You've always been jealous of Hajduk, which is why you invented all these myths about us. Some people look up to Juventus or Real Madrid, and I guess you think Dinamo is on that level, but let's be real: you've been a joke for a long time, and now you've officially hit rock bottom. Look, I don't see anything good in your downfall, and I'm not gloating like your rivals would, but that’s just my opinion. For the city, for the history, for the fans—you will never reach the level we have down here in California. You’re fake, you’re hypocritical, and you’re nothing but a passing fad. I support your fight against the current ownership, sure, but you brought all this trouble on yourselves. You feasted while things were easy, and now you're unwanted in your own stadium. Since you clearly can't change anything there, you've found an excuse in futsal. It's just more of that fake glory. That’s the whole point of Dinamo: an artificial club cobbled together from others. Today, you're so manufactured and hollow that even you can't recognize the club anymore, because deep down, you know it isn't yours. It's your own fault. Sure, you have "club legends," but they played for the slickest, most corrupt players in the league just because this place was a money machine from the moment we gained independence. Your legends looked the other way for years, too. Even guys like Shucker count as legends, so look how that turns out. There is so much fake garbage in this club that I don't even know who could honestly call themselves a true legend. Definitely wasn't Markovic. In twenty years, someone is going to say Eop was one of your legends or mention that famous Josko Jelic. There is absolutely nothing legendary about you.
