Spring is here, apparently . New and all that seasonal fluff... but for me, spring doesn't actually start until I finish my spring , which I absolutely loathe. How is it possible that every winter I accumulate enough junk that requires scrubbing, polishing, and dusting until the house shines and I am ? Finally, I can grab my and head to Central Park to find some actual spring. There I am, kneeling in the grass, focusing on , when some young dad asks, "Ma'am, are those ?" I was genuinely ! "No, young man, those are Saffron!" Then a young mother chimed in proudly, making sure everyone knew she could tell her spring flowers apart. I thought to myself, "Clearly, she hasn't spent much time walking outdoors this season." I just hope the kid in that stroller doesn't grow up to ask my great-grandchild if they're looking at a tree or a flower in Central Park. Mom, honestly, what did you fail to teach your son about high altitude?
