How much can we really rely on modern infrastructure? in The World Around Us ·
I was watching some footage of recent natural disasters on the news last night, and it really hit me how fragile everything we build actually is. We spend so much time and money perfecting our cities, our roads, and our homes, but we always seem to be caught off guard when nature decides to throw a tantrum.

It makes me wonder if we’ve become a bit too complacent. We live our lives assuming the ground beneath us is solid and the buildings around us are invincible, but one big shift can turn a bustling neighborhood into a graveyard in minutes. I remember seeing how much damage a storm did to my cousin's place a few years back, and even though it wasn't a massive event, the sense of helplessness was overwhelming.

When things go sideways on a massive scale, does anyone else feel like our "advanced" society is basically just a house of cards? Do you think we're actually getting better at handling these crises, or are we just building bigger things that break harder?

He managed to address both the functional issues and the aesthetic ones seamlessly. He completely transformed the profile—shortening it, lifting it, straightening it, and narrowing it down. He turned what used to be a heavy, prominent feature into a beautiful, delicate nose that actually fits my facial anatomy. I felt like I could finally breathe properly the moment he removed the packing, and since then, the nosebleeds have decreased significantly as well...
