Total rookie move on my part, honestly...

Since people are clearly still debating this and there's obviously interest, here are the links to the threads in the PDFs covering everything:

Thanks for absolutely zero actual feedback regarding the first post, other than basically saying "oops, I was naive and should've trusted my instincts."

We already went over all this in your PDF thread where it wasn't explicitly against the rules.

Why didn't you just archive the posts instead of deleting them? And why suggest putting someone on ignore instead of actually doing your job?

Why not just state that the discussion isn't for the USA and let the posts stay up?

Stop bothering Nica with this nonsense.

You can delete posts too, so if that’s what you call "moderating" while someone's busting their tail...

Nicholas Bailey3 said:Of course I'm picking sides. You don't even post on Reddit, you just saw abortion mentioned somewhere and decided to come over here and freak out.

So now you're the one freaking out here...

The mods are questionable and people getting banned happens all the time, sure, but you're still acting hysterical just because someone's voicing an unpopular opinion. Honestly, if it were up to me, you'd be banned right along with that troll

Oh, so I need your permission before I chime in on a thread? Is Reddit someone's private playground? Because it definitely feels that way...

Yeah, bans happen and moderation is iffy, but you're really gonna sit there and track exactly how much and where I post?

If it were up to me, I'd have handed out at least three bans for insults by now, but I didn't get the chance. Man, what a joke, a place where you actually have to beg for a ban because the mods don't know what they're doing 🙏

I don't know, maybe respond to the stuff suggested about her back in the stone age, since you're being so picky with your wording.

Fine, let's just wipe everything, pretend nothing ever happened, and let things stay perfect until the next massive fail.

That’s what you call "moderating," I guess...

Right now, you're just all over the place. You say one thing, think another, then claim you want something else entirely... all while having zero clue what the actual topic is. 🙂

Go ahead and join in if you want, I don't care, but I'm not really down to chat with you when it's like this.

Seriously, go back and read it a few times... just remember the rest of us are watching this unfold. 😵

Can you please stop spamming this thread?

Jeremy Johnson18 said:That PDF has been a total mess for months, and you're only suddenly acting all sensitive because a few of your posts got nuked. You bring that up in your very first sentence, and now you're playing dumb when I say things were actually better before they started messing with everything...
By the way, do you really need to act this clueless? It's such a typical thing for you Americans to do. 🙂

Look, that PDF isn't my kid, and I'm not an American, so stop putting words in my mouth. I'm talking about one specific topic: your unpopular opinion and the whole debate over abortion that kicked off because of it.

If you want to settle some personal score, go ahead and start your own thread.

Exactly. This kind of nonsense needs to be flagged and punished properly since it's attacking the authors directly.

Jeremy Johnson18 said:It’s not even about my reading skills... you’re just living in this total fantasy where you think they can moderate any better than this.

Things were actually fine before they started acting up, especially since you admitted yourself that this is the first time you’ve even started a thread here.

Don't try to pull one over on me. Save that nonsense for the clowns running things up there.

Chill out and stop snapping at me just because I hit a nerve.

What does my first thread have to do with anything?

Real moderation isn't just nuking posts because you feel like it. It's about keeping the conversation on track, handing out warnings when necessary, and not constantly hiding behind excuses like "this isn't the place for this" just to pretend everything is sunshine and rainbows while nobody actually does their job.

Nah, I'm not saying that. It’s pretty obvious you're having some trouble following along here...

🤦

First time posting here—and yeah, I’ve basically been on this forum since I was a kid—but honestly, Lucasfilm just sent my blood pressure through the roof.

Some people here, including the mods, clearly have no clue what a forum actually is or what moderation even means. And let me be clear: it doesn't mean frantically nuking posts just because you're too scared to hand out a ban to keep some "golden child" looking perfect.

What's the point of deleting everything? Is it to hide the misogyny, the chauvinism, the blatant lies, and all that unverified "info"? Just keeping things quiet so nobody gets blamed? No thanks. I stand by what I say, and I can handle a ban if I need one. I'd much rather people see who I actually am through my posts.

Can we get a list of topics that US-based users are actually allowed to debate without being silenced? Or is it only okay when every "topic" is just mindless small talk or people whining about who's getting screwed over?

From what I saw in that first post, there wasn't even a disclaimer saying "these are just opinions, don't comment or start a debate."

If you don't want to moderate, then step aside and let someone else do it. If you're just going to hide behind someone else's decisions, maybe you shouldn't be doing it at all...
Nicole Diaz said:I bet some ladies over at the Women's Club would totally go after those paleontologists... you know, the ones hogging all the search results people have been waiting months for just to nerd out over old bones. 🙄

On a side note, I actually had this wild idea to go on a little "tourist trip" to prison for a few days just to see what the vibe was like... but then I realized how insanely overcrowded the jails are and how much people who actually *need* a cell are stuck waiting for a spot 😁.

Just keep doing your thing, don't let anyone shut you down... you're gonna uncover everything you need to find.
I’m totally standing by what I said about this guy. He is just so incredibly dim—honestly, what’s the word for someone that clueless? He’d actually go out and pay for an MRI just because... well, why not? He can afford it, and frankly, he's just obsessed with knowing exactly how his internal organs are doing.

And honestly, that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the nonsense he says.

electricsurfer47 said:...and what about eating more fruits and veggies?? Sure, you'll pee out the extra vitamins, but your body actually absorbs nutrients from whole foods way better than from a pill. Supplements have their place, obviously, but real produce is king.

If you stick to nothing but greasy fast food, sugary snacks, and heavy meats or constant BBQs, you're going to struggle. Eating those things isn't a crime, but, you know, moderation is key.

Wait, are you actually lecturing me? Like, did I ever say I was against fruit and veg or something?

casualbadger22 said:Nobody is preaching anything. I have every right to take whatever I want, whenever I want, and there’s no reason I shouldn't be able to write about it. Here in Germany, you can just pick up Vitamin D at a shop like Walmart with a standard 2000 IU dose. A bottle of 45 capsules is like three or four bucks.
The world works differently elsewhere, and people are constantly learning new things.
By all means, don't go out in the sun and don't take vitamins, for heaven's sake.

I guess I should just let people tell me exactly what to write so everyone stays happy. I don't get why you guys keep trying to push people around from thread to thread. Besides, I haven't seen anything useful written here anyway. If we're communicating, and some of us are talking, and you don't like it, why should anyone be punished? Has this forum turned into a private chatroom or something? Maybe I missed an announcement. I wasn't even addressing everyone, just one specific person.

Oh my gosh, goodness gracious, now I'm actually getting scared☕

Even back home in the States, you can buy Vitamin D just like any other supplement. There’s nothing wrong with it if you're smart about how you take it—it's not like some random person on the internet gave you a diagnosis and decided you definitely need it.

If you take too many vitamins, you can easily pee the extra out. Though, it’s a double-edged sword since vitamins A, D, and E are fat-soluble, so excess gets stored in your body, which isn't exactly fun. It's kind of like iron—you wouldn't just tell everyone to start taking iron on their own whim.

There's a huge difference between recommending Vitamin D because lab tests proved you're deficient, and just saying "hey, read this article, this could be great!"

But look, sorry, we aren't the center of the universe. We have no clue... Germany is just 🙏

Honestly, you guys are getting on everyone's last nerve with this constant preaching about how every single person needs Vitamin D... it's seriously driving me crazy.

If someone actually thinks they're deficient, they should just get a blood test first and then take whatever they need based on the results.

If people acted like this on a health forum, they'd be kicked out immediately.
