I was watching some old highlights the other day and it hit me how much the "superstars" get all the credit while the guys doing the actual dirty work get completely forgotten.

It's funny how we tend to build our entire memory of a team around the flashy names on the jerseys or the guys who show up on the highlight reels every single Sunday. I remember being a huge fan of certain defensive legends back in the day, thinking they were the absolute backbone of the roster, only to realize later that someone else was actually putting up much more impactful numbers behind the scenes.

It feels like modern sports coverage is so obsessed with the "face of the franchise" type of players that we lose the sense of history regarding the grinders. You can have a decade of greatness from a Hall of Famer, but if there's a guy who quietly holds the record for a specific stat, most casual fans won't have a clue.

Do you guys find yourselves following the legends, or do you actually bother looking into the deeper team records to see who the real workhorses were?
I think Alphanumeric based out of Chicago has been at this for a while now. Try using the 'John' voice for American English; the other synthesizers for the language are pretty outdated...
