@Anatema
They’ve basically left me alone since my bikes were stolen—I think they just feel bad for me. 😁
There was plenty of drama before that, and if you stick around this forum, you're going to run into more. From here on out, people will be scrutinizing every single word you say, just waiting for a chance to jump you or mock you.

As for the wrist issues, even a heavy-duty shock absorber wasn't enough for my musician's hands; I had to rely on extra padding during my hiking trips... 🙂

Unless you count the occasional wipe down... 🙂

I've got photos somewhere if you're curious.
Preventative maintenance isn't just busy work.

I don't care about 🙂 since I don't own that bike anymore, and I don't see myself picking up a suspended rig anytime soon.
I actually checked with the local Bike Center where I bought it after a year, but they told me those shocks were "service-free."
So, I just kept riding... 😁
When it comes to suspension maintenance, following the service schedule for 22 miles was basically a non-event.

I spent two years riding a hybrid with a suspension fork, and it wasn't until I hopped on a road bike for about 1865 miles miles that the massive difference in braking performance actually hit me. To be honest, I originally chalked it all up to the disc brakes, but looking back, that suspension definitely plays its part.
