Woohoo! I won! So, where’s my trophy? They didn't even bother to notify me about the nomination, let alone the win, much less send over any kind of prize!! What a pathetic excuse for an awards show. Huge thanks to everyone who voted for me!

Kenneth Collins8 said:...look, I know how they handled the studio production on that track, but I was referring to the live version they played last year... since Martin McCarrick isn't touring with them anymore, you don't have to worry about anyone trying to choke you out with those royalties...😁

I actually think their cover of Apple by Joy Division is great!

They actually wanted to bring the drummer from Sarl VDa along on the tour, but he wasn't interested 😢

I was there!

Robin Rodriguez5 said:Great band, but if they ever tour near you, don't even bother showing up. Their live shows with this singer are honestly terrible. It actually made me hate their songs.

They don't have a frontman anymore; now Jean-Jacques Burnel (bass) handles things, backed by Dave Greenfield (keys) and Baz Warne (guitar). They just put out a new album called "Suite XVI" that supposedly sounds like old-school The Stranglers. I caught them live back when they had that singer Paul Roberts, and it was decent enough. The guy tried his best to channel Hugh Cornwell, though he looked more like he belonged in U2—maybe not the most authentic fit, but he did his job. By the way, The Stranglers are one of my absolute favorites; "Black & White" and "The Raven" are easily some of the best albums ever made. If they toured here, I'd definitely be there.

It’s much easier to get work done when you're busy picturing Raymond Barrett12 and stormyviper11 jumping around in silk boxers covered in stripes and stars, their heated bodies slathered in lizard grease 😍

Don't sweat it. It won't even be visible in the dark, and if some glass or bottle turns up during the game, nobody's going to give a damn anyway.

You're right, but that's how I got it from Aquarius, and they got it from Universal. Look for yourself:

I am thrilled to officially confirm the upcoming performance by the legendary reunited punk outfit Pogreb X. This is the very band where Satan panonski first cut his teeth, serving as the creative foundation for much of the material he would later perform under the Satan panonski moniker!
Fingers crossed I pull this off! Get those votes in for me!

but maybe I won't show up because of the boycott... look, why does it always have to be the same ancient relics? Why is it just GBH, USA subs, and vibrators for ten years straight? Come on, let's get some actual business, or guys who aren't a hundred years old, or resistance fighters—DAMN IT (Morgan Chase4, you should at least like them🙂)—Stiff Little Fingers, I don't know, the Adicts? From what I see, all those '77 bands still play like they're part of a circus act, so if they're being booked anyway, why not switch up the repertoire? 😢

(Yeah, I know I don't have to come if I don't like it, and I probably won't, but I'm genuinely curious why things are this way for Morgan Chase4)

Look! It’s perfectly normal for any band to tour once a year, especially if they have a new album. The bands you listed are the ones actually working hard and staying active, which is why they show up in the US so often; the others only get together when they feel like it, and their quality is questionable. The local legends have a new album, they're constantly touring, and the last time they were in New York City was back in '96 or '97 at a festival—that was ages ago! I love and know all these bands personally, which is one reason why I book them. You forgot that we've also had The Ramones, Blondie, Metallica, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, The Misfits... I really love and respect The Ramones, obviously, but unfortunately, they're too expensive. For one band, some crazy agent in Spain is asking for 5,000 USD, which is at least five times too much, and word is they're terrible live—they have a backdrop that says "The Best punk band" and they show up dressed like boxers, with the singer wearing boxing gloves! As for some other bands, I simply don't have a contact. Adicts, SLF, resistance fighters... they don't tour, and you can only get them if you pay for their plane tickets out of pocket. I'm planning to work on getting GBH, but they're also twice as expensive as the last time I booked them, not counting flights!
