Why on earth wouldn't you just go to more Boogaloo shows instead of wasting your time at those morning concerts? 😳 😳 😳

But I might skip it just to boycott the whole thing... honestly, why is it always the same old fossils showing up? For ten years straight, it’s been nothing but GBH, USA subs, and those damn vibrators. Can we get some actual business, or maybe some guys who aren't a hundred years old, or even some resistance fighters? For God's sake... (Morgan Chase4, surely you'd at least appreciate them 🙂), Stiff Little Fingers, I don't know, the Adicts? From what I can see, all these '77 bands still play like they're part of a circus act, so if they're being booked, why not change up the setlist a bit? 😢

(Look, I know I don't have to show up if I'm not feeling it, and I probably won't, but I'm genuinely curious why Morgan Chase4 feels this way)

Honestly, I don't think GBH has toured our neck of the woods nearly as much as that other trio lately. I'd love to see them back here. 🙂

It would be absolutely legendary if we could get Howard Devoto to pull off a reunion concert alongside some classic rock legends like Bruce Springsteen.

I’d travel to the edge of the earth for them, let alone just heading out to some local dive bar 😍

If anything, things are only going to get worse from here... especially since we're talking about this specific crowd. The sound quality at every single show is basically bottom-tier—even by my standards.
It’s just one concert after another, with the production getting progressively more disastrous...

It’s probably going to be a total disaster, honestly... I mean, I'm pretty sure about it. I'm definitely not throwing my hard-earned cash away on this.☕

Look! It’s perfectly normal for any band to tour once a year, especially if they have a new album. The bands you listed are the ones actually working hard and staying active, which is why they show up in the US so often; the others only get together when they feel like it, and their quality is questionable. The local legends have a new album, they're constantly touring, and the last time they were in New York City was back in '96 or '97 at a festival—that was ages ago! I love and know all these bands personally, which is one reason why I book them. You forgot that we've also had The Ramones, Blondie, Metallica, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, The Misfits... I really love and respect The Ramones, obviously, but unfortunately, they're too expensive. For one band, some crazy agent in Spain is asking for 5,000 USD, which is at least five times too much, and word is they're terrible live—they have a backdrop that says "The Best punk band" and they show up dressed like boxers, with the singer wearing boxing gloves! As for some other bands, I simply don't have a contact. Adicts, SLF, resistance fighters... they don't tour, and you can only get them if you pay for their plane tickets out of pocket. I'm planning to work on getting GBH, but they're also twice as expensive as the last time I booked them, not counting flights!

I think PTTB played at Madison Square Garden back in '96, and if I recall correctly, they hit The Fillmore once after that.

Man, I swear, Washington, D.C. is basically the last standing sanctuary for all us washed-up punks... 🤣 🙏 🙏
But seriously, why isn't anyone bringing back the older legends? 😠 If it were up to me, I'd love to see some of those classic vibes again... just pure nostalgia...

That set at NPR was incredible. 🙂 I don't recall seeing them at The Fillmore. I know Hogarth announced them for Chaos UK back in December, but they honestly didn't catch my eye. 😕
