I was watching some old match highlights last night and started thinking about how often we see this pattern. A player absolutely tears it up at a smaller club, everyone calls them the next superstar, they get that massive move to a powerhouse, and then... nothing. They just kind of vanish into the rotation or end up looking completely different.

It feels like there's a specific kind of pressure that comes with moving to a club where "good" isn't actually good enough. I remember watching a few guys move from their hometown heroes to the giants, and it felt like they lost that spark they had when they were playing with nothing to lose. You wonder if it's the tactical system, the sheer weight of the price tag, or if they just weren't actually ready for that level of scrutiny.

Do you think it's more about the player's individual mentality, or is it almost impossible for anyone to replicate that "star" energy when they join a squad that's already stacked?

👍 It’s a total win-win. Even if you get busted, you’ll end up behind bars... at least there's plenty of heavy lifting to do in the slammer. 😁

Look, if you strike out searching in Syracuse and decide you want the one I mentioned above, let me know. It's 30 lbs, but since it's adjustable, you can set it to 22 lbs easily—then once you've actually built some muscle, you can crank it up. Anyway, I can ship it via USPS or just have it sent on a Greyhound—shipping is $6.75, or if we go the bus route, just toss the driver a few bucks for coffee when you pick it up. That's the deal. Cheers!

In case anyone is still looking, I’m parting with an adjustable 30lb weight plate. Asking $60. If you're in Chicago, we can meet up in person. Otherwise, I can ship it via USPS or even drop it off via Greyhound if you wire the funds to my checking account beforehand. Shoot me a DM or hit my cell at 555-012-8376 if you want it. Cheers!
