Weightlifting gear recommendations?

Does anyone know where I can snag a 20kg weight set without getting totally ripped off? I saw some at Dick's Sporting Goods for $117, but they’re all sold out now. If anyone's got a lead, let me know, thanks.

You might want to check out the Walmart in Paramus; their weights are usually pretty cheap (if I remember right, the 10kg set was about $43).

I actually stopped by the other day, and they don't seem to have a sporting goods section anymore—or maybe they just tucked it away somewhere so well that I completely missed it.

On a small side note: that Walmart is located in Paramus, not near the Dock.

It was about a month and a half ago when I last saw them, and their department was tucked away in the very back corner. Once you walk through the furniture and home goods section, you just turn right toward the registers and head straight all the way to the end, then cut left into the corner. There was an entire pallet of those weights sitting there; I highly doubt they managed to sell out of everything.

Does anyone know if those weights are still in stock at Walmart over in $43?

I was wondering where I might be able to pick up some weights in Syracuse. I don't need much—just a single 10 kg weight (and please excuse my lack of technical terminology if I'm being imprecise here).
To put it simply... layperson style... I am looking for a barbell and about 10 kg of plates in Syracuse, ideally at a reasonable price point that doesn't exceed $30.

It's 30 lbs, but since it's adjustable, you can set it to 22 lbs easily—then once you've actually built some muscle, you can crank it up.
