Retired jerseys and the legacy debate in Fans ·
Is it just me, or does seeing those jerseys go up in the rafters always feel a bit bittersweet? It’s amazing to celebrate greatness, but it really makes you realize how much time has passed since their prime. Do you think we over-celebrate certain eras of sports history?

Jeffrey Harris92 said:Sure, but they won't actually learn how to mix if they rely on automatic beatmatching. I'm also not sure if you can disable that waveform display; it’s a distraction when you're trying to learn since it basically highlights the beats for you.

True. At least they won't lose all motivation right out of the gate... haha.🤣

Larry Ortiz24 said:Are you suggesting every DJ is a beatmaker, or every beatmaker is a DJ? What’s the logic there?

Beatmaking falls under production, if I'm following you correctly. That seems to be what you're getting at.
Beatmatching is simply syncing beats to ensure a transition isn't jarring.

Stick with John Deere DJ Studio 3 or Virtual DJ. Put in the work, blast some tracks, and you'll eventually develop an ear for seamless mixing.👍
Mouse settings in CATIA in Software ·
This should be straightforward and work right out of the box:
I'm not sure if you've tested this specific method, but on my end, CATIA V5 R16 behaves consistently across every workstation I've used...
If your mouse has a scroll wheel, just hold down the middle click along with the left mouse button to rotate the part in 3D space. If you hold the middle click plus the right mouse button and move the mouse up or down, you'll get your zoom in and out...

That’s the gist of it. Give it a shot and let me know if it works for you...

I’ve been using some kind of iPod...it looks identical to Apple Music, but in my opinion, it's designed to achieve the exact opposite effect.

Kyle Diaz6 said:I don't know who doesn't get this.😲 Just look at this thread; you can do just about anything in the full version of FL Studio if you know what you're doing. Take a look and think about it...

Hey.

P.S. You can do plenty in Cool Edit Pro too, for those who actually know. I'll buy a drink for anyone who still doesn't get it.🙄

In FL Studio, you remix tracks; you don't "mix" them in the DJ sense. FL is a production and remixing tool. Even in Cool Edit, you aren't mixing live. If you want to mix, you need software like Serato or Virtual DJ—programs designed to transition from one track to the next. You can't just plug your laptop into speakers and play music out to a crowd using FL or Cool Edit. For that, you need one of the programs mentioned above or a physical scratch setup hooked up to a mixer.

It depends entirely on the machine you're running. Take plasma cutters or waterjets, for instance—they can often generate a program directly from a DWG file, provided they have the right software installed. It’s not quite that straightforward with CNC machining centers, though. For those, you rely on CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) software. The workflow usually involves modeling your part in 3D using something like SolidWorks, CATIA, or ProE, then importing that model into a CAM program. Once you define your parameters—clamping methods, material specs, tool selection, and so on—the software "writes" the code that talks to the machine. You see CAM used most frequently with 5-axis mills or when dealing with complex geometries that would be nearly impossible to program by hand.
So, what’s the plan? Are you looking to push code from Autodesk directly to the CNC, or do you actually need a way to pull files off the machine and back onto your PC so they don't just pile up on the controller?

Keep in mind, most of this software comes locked down with hardware dongles anyway...

In my experience, Avast! 4.7 Professional Edition is easily the superior choice.
