The Seagull and I (Oliver)
It feels damn good, just feels right,
To lie here on the dry sand,
Out on a lonely coast by the ocean,
Watching you soar above the deep blue.
My seagull...
Just watching you, flying right along with you,
With absolutely nothing to fear,
Defying every storm that comes our way,
And knowing everything will be alright...
Even if the ocean turns wild and angry,
I'll be the master of it all,
Shouting my lungs out at the sky...
High up where the sun
Blasts down on us without asking,
And nothing in your sky
Or in this sea looks bleak.
Nothing's bleak as long as your wings
Carry you wherever the hell you want to go,
And you don't even care about the sun,
You just laugh and enjoy the ride...
On this isolated stretch of coast,
While the sun smiles down on the earth,
I listen to you screaming your joy,
Man, it feels good, it feels so damn good.
