Nine, but honestly? I'm aiming for a ten. 🤣

And are there more extroverts or introverts dealing with personality disorders? 🍿

Can't really compare it to a less individualized past, but there are plenty of logical links and behavioral patterns pointing toward a higher likelihood of people developing narcissistic traits.
As for which type there are more of, hard to say. People with personality disorders often don't even seek professional help, so they either slip through life unnoticed or just get labeled as weirdos or psychos without any nuance. Meanwhile, those of us who can actually spot the patterns aren't exactly winning any popularity contests. 😁

Why didn't you comment on Mia? She asked you nicely to analyze her.🍿

"Madness" isn't even a term used in psychology or psychiatry. 😁

Not sure what I'd even write; "could be me too?" doesn't give me much to work with.

Zachary Bennett said:Why even bother with a forum? There aren't any patients stuck in isolation right now for you to hunt down here.🤣

Get real, man.🍿

I personally think there's never been a bigger pool of potential patients, but then again, I don't actually work with them. 😁

Zachary Bennett said:Bummer, I was hoping to hear more perspectives here.🕺

So, what brings you to the off-topic section? How'd you end up wandering in here?🍿

I can always give an opinion, but making actual diagnoses is a much more complicated process. 😁

Can't say for sure, just a bunch of random stuff happening at once—including the fact that I was mindlessly scrolling to the bottom of the page and didn't feel like scrolling back up. 😵

Zachary Bennett said:And what exactly makes you such an expert here?🍿

In this case, we're talking about psychology—basically the science of behavior and the mind. And no, I'm not going to start handing out diagnoses to anyone. 😉

Zachary Bennett said:Look, we aren't exactly running a full-blown clinic here, so the least I can do is give you a diagnosis pro bono.☕

Having a few personality quirks doesn't mean you have a clinical diagnosis. This person just wrote a massive amount about herself in a tiny little post, and it caught my eye because it hits right on what I do for a living. I’m not sitting here claiming she’s a psychopath; I’m just pointing out that she basically described herself as one. 😁

Zachary Bennett said:So, what, you're a psychiatrist now? Since when did you start handing out diagnoses like candy?🍿

So what if I am? Is that really such a big deal? 😁

Zachary Bennett said:So, anyone got a decent steak or maybe some ribs hitting the grill today?🍿

There’s gotta be something decent out there somewhere, but honestly? I’m more of a BBQ guy myself. 🙂

Out of the ocean, just like everyone else. 😁

I consider myself pretty sharp because I’ve actually built something of a life for myself, even though I had every advantage to just become some total alpha type.
I spend a lot of time reflecting and working on myself, and I honestly think my EQ is through the roof.
Plus, people at work have told me all the time that I should go into politics because I can sense exactly what people want to hear; I'm well-spoken and can slide out of awkward or heavy situations without breaking a sweat.
I've even taken those IQ tests before and did pretty well 😁

High emotional intelligence, being well-spoken, being confident enough to lie, manipulation, narcissism, and political leanings—these are basically the textbook traits used to identify psychopaths. 😉
