I've got two SSDs set up here. One is running an old installation of Windows 7 that I really want to keep around, and on the other, I’ve installed a fresh copy of Windows 10. My goal is to set up a Windows 7/10 dual boot, but I'm hitting a wall. No matter what I select in the BIOS boot options, the machine just forces itself straight into Windows 7.
To make matters worse, Windows 7 doesn't even recognize the Windows 10 drive in msconfig:
The only way I can actually get into Windows 10 is by physically unplugging the Windows 7 SSD from the motherboard. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
I need to swap out the cooler on my graphics card. I'm debating whether I should just hunt down the exact same model on eBay or if I should try an aftermarket replacement instead.
The card is a GeForce GTX 240. The current cooler is pretty much trashed:

I'm looking to do some shopping exclusively on eBay (not really interested in anything else), so can anyone tell me which of these cards actually works there, or if I should just open a different one to get the job done? Thanks 🙂
Use that one, but keep in mind it’s a newer feature they just rolled out at JPMorgan Chase (up until now, only the Mastercard worked online). Honestly, your best bet is to just ask someone at the local branch.🙂

This guy clearly has zero clue what he’s talking about, yet he’s out here acting like he’s going to stroll through downtown with a Sword... and of course, you're just sitting there, loaded with info, dying to point him toward the nearest shop so he can make the purchase... All we need is that...just a bunch of people walking around cities carrying Swords......
Zachary Barrett4 Asks: Did you actually bother to turn off indexing in Windows?

Matthew Young35 Asks: The drive starts clicking from the very first minute after installation. Is anyone else dealing with this? No, it isn't the indexing service... or whatever they're calling Windows Search these days. I actually went ahead and disabled that myself.
Give me a break. 1. "I don't have a license, so I can't run Software update 2." 2. "If you're such an expert, why don't you find the graphics drivers for my laptop then?"
Fine, I'll do it. Just let me see what kind of rig you're running. I've got this scanner built right into my brain—installed it when I was a kid—so I can see your specs from a mile away. Sometimes I can even see your height.

I’ve been wanting to get into combat sports for a while now, but I’m stuck in my own head about which one is actually worth the time. Some people give me that whole "just pick what you enjoy" advice, while others start philosophizing about finding a sport where you actually have a fighting chance at winning. It’s a lot. To be honest, I’m down for pretty much any style, but I don't really grasp the nuances between them. Like, what’s the actual difference between Savate and kickboxing? Which strikes are legal and which ones will get you tossed out?
If there's anyone else out here near Cleveland, please hit me up—I need help tracking down a decent gym nearby. I heard something about an Omega club, but I can't find a phone number or an address to save my life.🤷
Alright, here’s my question. If I walk into Chase tomorrow and tell them I want to open a foreign currency account, when I finally get that card in my hands... can I actually use it for online shopping? Just to be clear, I'm talking about a standard debit card, not a credit card. You know, just spending whatever balance is sitting in the account. 🙂
Rachel Lee14 said:You're spot on regarding previous attempts to pay online using Chase cards. It was basically impossible to make any kind of payment with them. Once they started issuing the newer cards, they included a 3-digit security code. So, the idea that the code must be four digits is actually incorrect. I haven't personally tested these updated Chase cards yet—so I can't confirm if everything is working smoothly now—but my Bank of America Visa Electron works perfectly fine. (And yes, it does have a 3-digit security code 😁).
That said, a quick question for the OP: how exactly do you know you won't be able to pay online?
Because I actually tried paying for something with it. My account balance shows way more money than what I attempted to spend, yet the card was still declined—specifically, it rejected the CVV. I entered the card number, the expiration date, and that code at the end. Then, I grabbed a different card from Wells Fargo—it isn't mine, but I used it for the exact same purchase and it went through without a hitch. On the Wells Fargo card, the format looks like XXXX XXX, which isn't how our new ones are set up. Ours just has XXX. Is that the actual CVV or not? Who knows. I'm too lazy to actually drive down to the bank XD😁
Hi there, I just picked up a new Visa debit card from JPMorgan Chase. There’s plenty of cash in my account, yet I can't seem to make a single online purchase. Why is that happening? My old card specifically stated "for electronic use only," but this one doesn't say anything. Also, my previous card didn't even have a CVV code, whereas this one has a three-digit number right on the back next to the signature strip. To top it all off, the welcome package they sent is an absolute joke. Can someone please explain if I'm actually able to pay for things online or not? And if I can't, what's the reason? 🙂thanks 👍
I’m not sure if this belongs in the Legal subforum or just here, but does anyone know how much it costs to get a document notarized at a local courthouse? I assume the fees are pretty standard everywhere, but for context, I'm looking at the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco. It's 1:00 PM and there isn't a single soul responding there. I guess I'll have to find my answer here instead. 🙂Basically, what's the damage for getting a single A4 page—just a photocopy of an ID—notarized? Thanks in advance.👍
