But hey, better to know for when things eventually go sideways, right? What kind of statement are we even talking about here? Honestly, I can't even remember the last time I stepped foot inside a Chase branch. I do everything through online banking. Maybe once every few years I'll swing by the bank to grab a new debit card if they don't just mail it to me. I'm assuming we're talking about a statement that shows the balance and the most recent transactions.

Same deal over here. I handle everything online, but to verify my PayPal account, I actually had to trek down to the bank to get a physical statement!

Larry King2 said:They’re really overdoing it with this nonsense. Isn't a driver's license or a passport enough? I mean, what happens if you're still living at home and don't have a single utility bill in your own name? You're just stuck, right?

That’s exactly why they’re asking for all that extra paperwork 🙂
Just head down to Chase or Bank of America and ask for some official statements—that’s honestly been my lifesaver more than once.

Thomas Cook54 said:So I requested a withdrawal from 10beta and sent over my ID and card info, but now they're breathing down my neck asking for a utility bill. What even is a utility bill?

It’s just a copy of a bill showing your name and address—think an electric bill, water bill, or something like that.

Andrew Howard14 said:The lay bet—it works just like it does at any other sportsbook, right? Hopefully, I’m making sense here...

It’s been a minute since I’ve messed around on Betfair, probably since 🙂
Do they still have that annoying tax situation that drove everyone away a few years back??

Bryan Adams6 said:Personally, if they’re offering anything less than a 25% to 50% discount on those bare essentials🙄 I’m just not interested... unless they step up and hit that full 100% off mark next time.😁

Same here, just looking for that 25%. Honestly, I might just bite; at this point, it’s basically a steal, $33 not something you'd just toss away...

Sarah Green2 said:Hey, anyone else having issues getting their money out of BetMGM via Skrill? It's been three days since I requested my payout and it's still just sitting there "pending." I tried emailing them too, but... crickets. Absolute nightmare.

Man, I waited nine whole days for a withdrawal from BetMGM once. Never again. Honestly, they’re just as much of a joke as FanDuel and BetMGM.
Just move over to Las Vegas or some of those Asian books and get on with it...

Basically, they’re just as pathetic when it comes to limits as any other bookie out there. Just more garbage, along with those Russ guys.
It feels like if you actually want to bet some real money, your only options are the Asian sites (DraftKings, 188bet, BetMGM...) or Pinnacle. But man, it sucks that they don't have the same level of processing or the massive variety of leagues you see elsewhere.
I haven't really looked into how the Germans operate—stuff like Betway, FanDuel, Bet365...🤷

Arthur Howard said:I'm capped at about $40 on NBA players
Then it's like $5 to $15 for ATP depending on the odds
Soccer and everything else has decent limits, maybe $50 to $200 depending on what you're betting on.
Maybe they flagged me because I was hitting those smaller markets right up against my limit before I even finished verifying my account.

Are you talking about Paddy?

Bet365 holds about 20% of the US market, while William Hill and Paddy have around 15% each. Sure, Betcity and Marathon have killer selections, but once they go ahead and shut down seven or eight of your accounts in just a few months, you pretty much throw in the towel. 😢

Yeah, unfortunately.

mellowdrifter14 said:Look, Paddy might be your second favorite bookie in the USA, but Willhill is definitely number one. Both are solid when it comes to variety, and honestly, if you’re keeping your bets under $50, you can probably fly under the radar for a while without hitting any limits. Just don't get greedy if they mess up—if you hammer a mistake they made, they'll shut you down in a heartbeat. They actually closed my account at Paddy last month because they failed to update the odds after some boba training session I was in back in Sochi, so I ended up making a killing. 😁

Wait, isn't Bet365 actually the top one?
If we're talking about user interface and having the best selection for what I usually play, Betcity is my go-to, followed by Marathon. You won't find a league out there that isn't covered by those two. If you combine them with Bet365, you basically have 99% of everything an average player would ever need.
The whole issue with getting limited, though... that's a completely different headache altogether.

I mean, despite all the absolute nonsense going on with the local bookies here in the States (before this new legislation kicks in, which, fingers crossed, happens ASAP), if I’m playing with smaller stakes, using the offshore sites just doesn't make sense. They hit me with a $15 fee every other withdrawal. No thanks.
I’m starting to think that betting without at least a $10k bankroll is just a losing game overall.

Based on the questions you're asking, it's pretty obvious you're young and haven't been around the block yet. 🙂
Offshore books are basically your only real move. With smaller bets—say under $50—I actually got limited by both Marathon and Betcity after about two years of playing.
Sites like Marathonbet, Betcity, Bet365, Sportinget, Sbobet, and Unibet don't mess with your withdrawals like that.
Pinnacle and Expekt give you one free withdrawal a month, then they start charging you for the rest. I mean, do you seriously need to cash out every single day for that to even matter? Just wait until you've piled up a few hundred bucks, pull it all out at once, and call it a day...

Out of those four, Paddy is probably your best bet if you actually want decent limits.
Though "decent" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there..

Can someone walk me through how this works?
I keep getting capped out at Marathon, Betcity, and even occasionally on bet365.
I mostly play basketball—over/unders, player props, stuff like that—but I can't find those markets at the places that don't limit you, like Pinnacle or Sbobet.
How's the limit situation over at William Hill?

Steven Morales6 said:I'm currently going head-to-head with FanDuel trying to fix some issues. After I sent them a mountain of paperwork, they just froze my account. Now they’re demanding some utility bill or document in my name that isn't more than three months old.🙂
It’s funny how it works—these sportsbooks have zero issues taking your money as revenue, but the second you want a payout, they suddenly turn into the FBI and try every trick in the book to hold onto your cash.

I went through the exact same thing with BetMGM, FanDuel, and DraftKings.
But honestly, once you jump through those hoops and get it sorted, the payouts usually go through without any drama.

Arthur Howard said:It’s probably because those offshore bookies operate in such a shady way. 🙂
Betway pulls stunts so ridiculous I honestly start wondering if they're just doing it to wash money. They’re incredibly sketchy when it comes to protecting your bankroll, and they’ll slap you with a limit before you even realize what hit you.

Honestly, I’m not even surprised. At this point, I don't even know which sites haven't capped me out yet. It's getting pretty pathetic.

Is anyone actually betting on DraftKings? Like, does anyone from the US even bother registering there? I'm looking at the sign-up page and I don't see USA anywhere on the list of available countries when you try to register.

Bryan Gray91 said:If I’m getting this right, Ladbrokes actually let them go up to 600 bucks on indoor soccer.
That means they probably opened that account ages ago. Lately, any account opened here in the States gets slapped with an automatic limit—like, maybe 50 or 100 bucks for the NBA games and stuff like that.

I just opened my account about two months back.
They’ve got me capped at $1.88. Absolute garbage of a sportsbook.
Best offshore sportsbooks for online betting? in Betting Forum ·
I haven't placed a single bet on DraftKings since they slapped that 7% tax hike on us here in the States.
Is anyone actually still using them? What’s the vibe been like lately?

Jerry Patel4 said:Can sportsbooks actually change the odds after you've already placed the bet? Yesterday at DraftKings they messed up and listed the odds at 3.6 instead of 1.3. I jumped on it at 3.6, the bet actually won, but now they’re trying to pay me out using the 1.3 odds.

Of course they can, and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.
I once put a live basketball quarter handicap on BetMGM at 1.83, and when I complained, they just told me there was some "glitch" during the entry and recalculated it at 1.06—even though the bet was a winner. It’s happened more times than I can count, and Marathon has pulled the exact same stunt on me.
The whole industry is a joke; you can basically tell them to shove it, but they won't listen.

Arthur Howard said:BetMGM has some disgusting offers—the margins are just insane. Honestly, it’s no wonder they don't bother limiting anyone.

BetMGM is bottom-of-the-barrel trash. I don't think I've ever met anyone who actually stuck around working there for more than a month.
The odds are a joke and their platform is clunky as hell. You're honestly better off just hitting up a local sportsbook in Vegas...

Christian Hernandez11 said:Yeah, and that basically means they just won't pay you out.

That’s the thing. A buddy of mine spent three months fighting with Marathon over a $9,500 payout.
So, does Pat and Will Hill limit people just like every other sportsbook?
Is there actually any bookie out there besides Betway that doesn't cap you?
