You might run into some annoying issues with withdrawal limits—maybe hitting a ceiling at $20 or $40—but honestly, the real kicker is how they handle mistakes. Especially with the WH side of things, they mess up and just... don't fix it. They leave you hanging.

I mean, is there actually anything worse than getting hit with those limits?

I don't know what's going on lately, but I've been having nothing but trouble with them.
Does any sportsbook have a live selection even remotely close to BetMGM? All I really care about is having plenty of live basketball action available throughout the day.

None of them. Just open a second account and go nuts!!

swiftlynx34 said:So, I’ve been betting with Bet365 for about two years now, and honestly, things were going pretty smoothly until yesterday when the wheels finally fell off. It’s happening with live handball bets... I put down a play for under 30 goals in the first half... game hits the 28th minute, score is 12:11... then suddenly everything freezes and the match just vanishes from the live menu. Two hours later, my bet gets voided and the stake is returned, even though the half ended 13:12.
Then today, it happens again... basketball, over 36 points in the second quarter... same exact story as the handball one... score is 18:17 at the 2:25 mark... game disappears from the board... obviously, they cruised right past that 36-point mark, but once again, the bet is voided.
I'm starting to suspect this isn't exactly an accident.

Total garbage, just like every other bookie out there.
For me, it was twice where I placed a live bet at 1.83 odds, only to have them settle it at 1.07 because apparently there was some "technical error" during the placement. Both bets won, by the way.
Marathon used to hide my winning live tickets from me too. One minute nothing, the next, a ticket pops up settled at 1.0 odds.
Bet365 capped my account at $22, and the folks over in Germany basically told me not to bother showing my face there again...
Everything works fine as long as you're losing money. The second you actually win or try to collect, that's when the headaches start.

redranger82 said:What would you say are the top 3 sportsbooks out there? Maybe Marathon or Bet365?

If you go with Marathonbet + Betcity + Bet365, you’re looking at the best payouts around. Honestly, that combo alone covers 99.99% of what any regular needs. The catch? They start limiting you eventually. It's the same story with those local trash sites like DraftKings or FanDuel—they see you winning and suddenly you can't place a decent bet anymore. That's why you end up sticking to the Asian books like Sbobet or 188bet...
Betfair is basically on the same level as our domestic bookies because the tax hikes they hit them with made their odds practically useless.
There are a few other decent options, but they all suffer from the same issues—either they limit your action or the payouts just aren't worth the hassle: Nordicbet, Ladbrokes, Sportingbet, or even those smaller US apps...

Quick question. I see Bet365 has their casino, betting, and all that. If I happen to hit a win—say $100 or even $100,000 😁—and I move that cash over to my debit card (one of my local US bank accounts) that I used to deposit, am I going to get hit with any taxes or anything similar?

There isn't any tax on the withdrawal itself.
Just keep in mind that getting your money out isn't quite as breezy as putting it in; make sure you check their terms and conditions first.

Scott Flores5 said:I reached out about Unibet and, well, here’s the situation. Or maybe it isn't a situation. My withdrawal has been sitting on hold since Monday when I first requested it. It just clicked for me today, so I finally got in touch with them. Apparently, I was supposed to get an email asking for a scan of my ID—driver's license or passport—and some kind of utility bill or statement. I sent over my license and an Amex statement. Still nothing from their end. Anyone here had experience with this? Will it actually be fine? Also, can I get flagged or cause issues because I basically showed up with a tiny amount of cash and ended up pulling out way more? None of my bets were anything sketchy; I just caught a lucky streak hitting a few crazy parlays with 3 to 6 legs on them.

Just hang tight. It takes them a few days, especially when it comes to payouts.

brightviper173 said:Caesars Sportsbook slapped me with limits out of nowhere for no real reason. I was playing nothing but handball for a few days, and they were throwing out these gift handicaps for the women's Champions League. Once I realized I couldn't place any more bets, I reached out to support and got this "lovely" response:
Hello,
Terms and Conditions apply.
General betting rules
5. The bookmaker reserves the right to limit a maximum stake on special events as well as to limit or increase a maximum stake of a certain client without any notification and giving reasons.
Your limit will be kept the same.

Welcome to the club!
It’s the exact same story with Marathon and FanDuel—they all start capping you the second you actually start winning.
Your only real move is to open a second account.

Roger Phillips said:Horn-Parndorf 3+ 1,70
They played once earlier this season and Horn walked away with a 4:1 win on the road.

Man, Horn has been killing my bankroll the last two times they showed up. I’m staying far away from them today.🙂
Looking at the slate, these two look decent to me for danas od nogomet:
NEC Nijmegen vs Heerenveen Over 3.0@1.72 Sbobet
I have a feeling the league's top scorerFinbogasson will chip in here and help push this over, though he'll probably be riding the bench when (Icelanders) play us next time.🙂.
I'm picturing an open game with plenty of chances and, naturally, some goals. Looking back at their last two meetings, Heerenveen won 3:1 and 4:2. Plus, in their last five trips to NEC, both sides managed to find the net every single time.

Newell's Old boys vs Godoy Cruz under 2@1.97 Marathonbet

A matchup between two teams that love to play defensive ball, so I'm expecting very few goals. If you're feeling particularly gutsy, maybe take the under 1.5.

Casey James56 said:Bet at Home is offering a $100 bonus if I deposit $200, but what are the actual rollover requirements? Like, can I just grab the bonus and then ghost them immediately?
Also, can I just use my standard debit card—the one with USD on it where it handles the conversion automatically—to deposit and then withdraw back to the same card?

Come on, use your head. You really think they’re just sitting there waiting for some guy in the States to hand them a hundred bucks just so they can wave goodbye and run off with it?
As for the Maui card, I wouldn't count on it.

Anthony Davis19 said:Man, I already said that’s not what I meant. I messed up and phrased it poorly. My point was about sending a photo of a credit card, not an ID—forget the ID, I don't care about that right now. 😁
Anyway, my actual concern isn't them asking for an ID, it's that they want a photo of a Visa card showing all the necessary details, like when you're trying to make a deposit on Bet-at-home. Basically, if I send a shot of my card, someone over there could pretty much just type my info into their own account or whatever, right? 🤷
I'll probably just withdraw via Skrill and then move it from Skrill to my Visa; that should be fine if I play it smart, but I'm still stuck on that question about the credit card photo. Maybe it's a stupid question, maybe not, who knows. I'm young, inexperienced, and clearly a bit dim, so take it with a grain of salt. 🤷

Alright, chill out, no need to get worked up. ☕
Are you absolutely sure they're asking for a card photo? Because that's straight-up idiocy. Maybe they just want to see the last transaction or something? Bet365 asked me for something similar once.
Whatever the case, don't give it to them. Just cash out to Skrill and then transfer it to your bank or your card and call it a day.
And yeah, Bet-at-home is honestly one of the weaker offshore sites—low odds, crappy interface, and withdrawal headaches...
Check out Marathonbet, Betcity, Bet365, Sbobet, Noridcbet, or Expekt. Depending on what you're betting on, you can find everything there.

Anthony Davis19 said:I’ve got a question for the veterans here regarding withdrawals from overseas sites. So, yesterday I put in a request to move some funds to my Visa card through Bet-at-home, and then this morning—bam—I get an email saying I need to scan or snap photos of my ID and the actual card I used for the deposits. I'm assuming this is just standard procedure for everyone, right? Just wondering if anyone else has actually gone through this before and if it's actually safe to send that stuff over. Also, is there any way to withdraw without jumping through all these hoops? Like, can I just do a direct bank transfer or maybe use Skrill to skip the whole photo thing? 🤷

Are you kidding me?
I mean, let's be real—most of those big international sportsbooks out there are going to demand you upload a scan of your ID, complete with your name and photo, before they even look at you twice. It's just how the game is played.
And what am I supposed to do with that? Who actually needs a scan of someone else's ID, especially if they're just some random person from around here? 🙂

dustypanther6 said:That’s completely irrelevant. Just find me a sportsbook where I can get a no-deposit bonus. I don't care if I have to roll it over ten times, just give me the money.

I mean, sure, you might find some sketchy offshore sites with terrible odds and garbage settlement times that offer stuff like that. Trust me, I spent way too much time chasing those crumbs back in the day before I realized it's a total waste of energy.
The only decent thing that’s happened lately—over the last three months or so—is that I snagged a 100% deposit match up to $10 on Expekt 100 and did the same thing over at Bet365. So, I put down $200 and ended up with $400; rolled it through three times and boom, profit.
Expecting any legit sportsbook to just hand you cash without you putting anything on the line is pretty naive, if you ask me.

Man, I have read so much absolute nonsense on here lately.
It reminds me of myself a few years back, thinking I was some kind of genius who could just grab a sign-up bonus and vanish into thin air.
Do yourselves a favor and actually read the fine print on Terrence’s terms for every single sportsbook out there; you'll see you usually have to roll that bonus over at least 3 to 5 times before you see a dime.

Seattle Sounders vs. Portland Timbers: Both teams to score at 1.80 Expectations
I’m playing this one strictly on the numbers, though Seattle plays pretty aggressive. I'm just hoping Portland manages to sneak one past them—they tend to concede way more than they should, so there's a decent shot Seattle finds the back of the net too. 🙂

Jose James16 said:So I just signed up for Bet365, and right away I hit up customer service to ask if I get that 100% welcome bonus on my first deposit. They told me that since I'm based here in the US, that option isn't available to me. Does anyone actually know what's going on? Every single American site about online sportsbooks claims you get a 100% match on your first deposit (up to $100). 🙂

Yeah, they offer a 100% bonus, just not to users in the US. You really should check the Terms; it’s all laid out right there...
I just snagged a $100 bonus over at Expekt, and before that, I picked up bonuses from Bwin and Fortunewin too—go ahead and look up what they're currently offering new players.

I fired up my backup account and everything seems fine for now, let's just hope this one lasts longer than the first one did..

Anyone know what your average bets were looking like, and did you pull out much cash?
My account's been around for about three years too, but I don't really play there constantly—just throw down maybe $50 here and there...

Does anyone actually have some solid intel on what happens if you're depositing into an overseas online sportsbook using a foreign bank account within the EU?
Is everything above board there... you know, totally legal?
Thanks

I mean, if the account is in your name, why wouldn't it be fine??
