And since Božo Petrov is a psychiatrist, I guess he’s prone to making those kinds of claims too.

By that logic, people without a formal degree should just default to swearing like old stagecoach drivers—and if they actually manage to stay polite, maybe then they'd need therapy. 😉

The movie mostly works for me, though I wasn't a huge fan of how they handled the ending, but I don't want to get too repetitive about my thoughts on the original premise.

To me, it's way more interesting than Cloverfield.

To me, it feels a bit like Morrissey—he’ll toss out two or three things from The Smiths and then (naturally, since he's promoting solo work) sing his own stuff, which, let’s face it, isn't even half as good as what he did with The Smiths.

I went to see The Repeater right after some Icelandic band that almost put me to sleep, and my body just reacted instinctively to their sound and energy (they remind me of early Mudhoney or Sonic Youth).
They're basically the ideal band for festivals like this.

Still, there's always that weird feeling once everything wraps up, where my feet just start heading toward Lake Merritt on autopilot.😲

Placebo played a pretty standard set; I mean, they did their job, but I didn't really feel any deep emotion from them. Plus, compared to their actual albums, their touring setlist felt kind of underwhelming—it’s a shame because they barely played anything from those first two records, which are easily their best work.
The repetitor was absolutely brutal, especially the girls, who seemed to be on a whole different level.
Personally, I found the Islanđanin guys a bit boring, though I have to admit they were super engaged and acted very professionally throughout their set.
All in all, it was a really solid lineup for the festival, with the highlight definitely being the first night at FFS.

I guess it feels like people just weren't really "ready" for it. To be honest, maybe not enough people actually sat down and listened to the album after it dropped recently, so they were just being difficult.

That happened during the finale of the concert, right when they brought out that extra percussion kit and just started hammering away on the synths.
I guess Russell's energy and vocals are just fascinating.
I should probably mention that I’ve been trampled a few times by groups of chubby teenagers with flowers in their hair. Honestly, they reminded me of some medieval battering ram used to smash through fortress gates during a siege. I guess that's just how it goes sometimes.😁

Florence + The Machine absolutely crushed it, especially the Mael brothers.
It was only natural that their hits provided the climax; the absolute highlight for me had to be the keyboardist Mael’s wild, almost grotesque dance moves during the performance of Call Girl.
I was pretty hyped for EODM today, but it looks like my crew isn't planning on hitting up Central Park that early. I guess if Rudimental were playing, we actually would have 😵gone.
