Robin Lopez isn't in the lineup for this one, which might matter—even if he doesn't play his exact position—since there's one less big man under the rim. He's been playing well lately. If Deron isn't out there, you could even look at the Bucks to win...
Seriously, they had such a massive lead... then just completely fell apart in the third. The Brooklyn Nets are probably going to walk away with this one, even without their two best players. 🙂
Check this out... Green was almost at 30 points. 🤦

Sure, there are a few other Williams players on the roster, but they aren't in that same tier, and when you're fighting for positioning in the West, you have to take these. Regardless of current form, this is a lock that needs to be played. It has to 🙄, I know.😁 These kinds of public bets always walk through thorns, but good luck to us.
Generally, I avoid betting on non-playoff teams, but I think the Detroit Pistons look like a solid bet today against the Toronto Raptors. Maybe the odds are slightly inflated, but I took it. They knocked off the Los Angeles Lakers and the Atlanta Hawks in their last two games—both close ones—so where would the poor Toronto Raptors go? In my view, the momentum is with them, and you take teams like this while they're riding a wave.🤷
I took the Memphis Grizzlies as well, even though the under on points looks tempting. The Phoenix Suns are usually trending toward the under; at least that was the case a few days ago, and Harrison's defense is legendary. Usually, those "suspicious" 1.8 picks slide right through without any friction.
Carlos Boozer played great with the Orlando Magic; he really stacked up points next to Dwight Howard (especially since Joakim Noah is in terrible form). 14.5 feels like a drop in the bucket.
So, that’s my slip for today. Maybe I'll just blast some country music tonight instead.
I also mentioned yesterday that Lopez is out. But everyone has known that for a while now.
And if Al Horford starts instead of Williams, hm...🙄
I don't know, I just don't see how the Brooklyn Nets can avoid losing against a decent Houston Rockets squad without two crucial players. Considering Deron Williams is practically half the team.🤷 The only scenario where the Nets pull this off is if they suddenly sink about 15 three-pointers at the end of the game.
The Rockets moneyline looks pretty tempting without needing a spread. Anyone heard anything about the specifics of Deron Williams' injury? I see the line is set at 24.5; I guess the oddsmakers know something we don't. Especially since they might be accounting for whether he actually suits up. We've seen them post player props before only for the guy to never even step on the court.
If Williams is out, the two is a lock. If he plays and is actually 100%, then the two isn't exactly a sure thing, but it still looks solid.🤷
Well... it's over. He isn't coming back. Tomorrow, if he doesn't suit up against the Rockets, you should grab the biggest handicap possible on them. Without Lopez and Williams, they don't stand a chance against anyone.
Everything points toward Boston. I've been chewing on it. But honestly, that 1.65 line on Boston feels a bit too good to be true...🙂 I don't know. Regardless, I'm taking the spread on Portland. I'm not expecting more than 190 total points, just looking for a gritty, defensive battle. We'll see how it plays out.

Yeah.🙂
The worst part is how the strategy shifted just because he hit a streak of overs. Now I’m sitting here thinking, "There's no way this one doesn't go over," and—of course—I was wrong. Typical.
Betting the over on him is a losing game. It’s purely a matter of his lack of free throw attempts, combined with the rest of the squad being obsessed with hunting for three-pointers. But hey, lesson learned for next time.🤷
Orlando's looking at a 20-point spread. Given how things are trending, there's no way Howard sees more than 25 minutes of action. I usually bet him under, but today I'm leaning over...🙄
