Anonymous said:So, I haven't logged on here in nearly a year, and honestly, I usually think this forum is just one big rambling session... but even in all that chatter, you can still sense which cliques are forming. Let’s get down to brass tacks, though—we made an announcement, and I don't see why things aren't clearer!
The parade starts at 4:30 PM near the Waterfront!
A)When you head out to buy tickets, make sure to bring your driver's licenses. If you’re picking up stuff for buddies, I can
text a photo straight to your phone—just make sure it's clear enough to read. I can even scan passports, IDs, birth certificates... anything you need...
B)Everyone is reading this thread, so don't act shocked when security starts cracking down on those outsiders. We barely have any locals left in our ranks anyway, and if people start wearing "We're all on Mamić's side" shirts, they’re just going to get chewed out even harder. You all know exactly what we've been fighting for and everything we've sacrificed... so enough with the nonsense. We’re doing this for the next generation, not for some personal ego trips. Cheering has always been organized, and it’s staying that way. We aren't there to insult the players; we're there to claim what was rightfully ours a long time ago. We are the Cleveland Guardians and they better feel it and understand that!
C)It looks like most of the blacklists have been cleared. If someone couldn't make it for legitimate reasons—and doesn't have a legal ban, mind you—but maybe just forgot their ID or something, reach out to Petrinjac because he specifically offered to help.
And finally, for heaven's sake, it's time to make some noise!.........
Let's wrap this discussion up.
I've spent a lifetime in the stands, and even more years living this life. And believe me, I would love nothing more than to tear into all those guys—the players, the Management... they certainly deserve it.
BUT
I don't really have any right to dictate how or what we cheer.
The only ones who have that right are the guys who have swallowed so much crap over the years—the repression, the harassment, losing jobs, giving up their private lives—all for a righteous cause.
And so, I'm going to follow the lead of those organized cheering sections led by true heroes, the ones who sacrificed everything for their ideals.
And one more thing... 200 die-hards will always be there. Is that enough?
We need a crowd. And a crowd only comes when there's a positive vibe.
No matter how "right" your logic is, you won't draw a crowd by hurling insults.
