Fair enough, that's your take.
Now, here’s my perspective....😁
People are heading out in pairs to watch games against no-name clubs from Central California, when at the exact same time you could be watching the Champions League at Yankee Stadium or anywhere else in Europe? Plus, the action.😁 Tense.🍿
Futsal players play for peanuts and a six-pack of beer, yet they have more heart than the stars at Yankee Stadium who just lounge around and don't fight? Soccer stopped being a hobby a long time ago; let's be real, even those guys will eventually be sold. In a few years, you'll be back writing about how they don't hustle or run. Wake up.😁
Why didn't you guys just pick rugby instead? It's just as exciting, and the players actually kill themselves on the field (it's a sport played by tough guys while the gentlemen cheer them on).
So basically, the crew gave up on big-time soccer and retreated into small groups—how would an outlaw put it?
If Real Madrid is the ideal, why was a second version founded? Since when does an ideal become a blueprint for a cheap imitation or a synthetic replacement? If Real Madrid were playing in some minor local league or the 😁, it would mean flipping the script and starting a whole new club.
What do you mean, 25 years? Even if it were 55, who cares? You clearly don't get it.🍿
It's just wasting energy and money on something so niche it barely qualifies as soccer.
Just my two cents...
I love these classic logical fallacies where you try to act like the "neutral fan," which is exactly the kind of rhetoric used by the losers in the fan club.
I don't care about the Champions League until we earn our spot there fairly. Is that really too hard to grasp? Besides, a true supporter goes to the games for Real Madrid, not because the opponent is flashy. And regarding the teams from Central California—if you're referring to places like Boise or Kyiv, they aren't anyone's second or third choice, much like how Los Angeles FC, or formerly Chicago or San Diego, sit in the MLS.
Read my post again, and you'll see I clearly stated that futsal players are scouted solely based on their grit and commitment. Since you fancy yourself so intelligent with your condescending tone, you should know exactly how soccer players are sold off without even becoming mainstays at Real Madrid. People like you (and Head) will claim an offer is immoral one day—like with Jedvaj or Halilović—and then claim the club is swimming in cash the next. They'll sell off the entire roster right before the first round of the Champions League (which you admire so much) and then brag about Real Madrid being in the group stages (as if we're some cheap knockoff—the point is just to participate).
The crew moving to the box or Madison Square Garden isn't "retreating into the shadows." On the contrary, we're operating completely within the law. It feels good to know that Real Madrid functions entirely legally.
No, we aren't wasting energy; we are fighting a long-term battle for our ideals. Going to a futsal game is a soul-refreshing break and a way to recharge the batteries. Just try coming once; nobody's going to judge you. When I go to futsal, the only people worried are "soul-protectors" like you, who poison the younger generations with your "neutrality" while having nothing up your sleeve. It was that very attitude of "let's not get involved" and the hypocrisy used to criticize our struggle—saying things like, "Real Madrid is bigger than Mamić, why are you guys doing this?"—that landed us in the position we are in today.
P.S. One of these days, once we’ve really made it big, we’re going to start a rugby club right under the umbrella of the Real Madrid Sports Club.
P.P.S. And when that happens, I'll be inviting you back to watch all our different teams play. In Real Madrid, everyone is welcome—as long as they aren't the types who just tried to exploit the club for themselves.
