Just typical homo behavior.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
Nobody was heading down to Rhode Island, but apparently, everyone was there, haha!!!
Come on, enlighten me then—who exactly is showing up and who isn't? 😁
There were plenty of you involved, so please, give me something substantive and concrete. If you're going to insist on asking, at least provide some actual die-hard fan perspective. 😁
Otherwise, you're just blowing smoke, and I won't hesitate to call out that nonsense. 😁

The truly pathetic part here is that we actually have the Champions League and those "massive matchups" coming up on the horizon... people are practically drooling at the thought of playing teams like Bayern Munich or Olympiacos...
By the way, the atmosphere in suburban Chicago was actually great... if there had been a bit more heckling, it would have been perfect. 👍

The agreement was set for two hours before kickoff, but two hours before kickoff, absolutely nobody showed up.
What happened was a classic case of chronic American lack of punctuality and organization. People agree to meet at 7:00, then they drift in at 7:45, 8:00, or 8:15... They sit in a bar first, and then show up at the designated meeting spot thirty minutes before the game starts expecting someone else to have a perfectly executed plan ready to go.
Most people didn't even have tickets because they were being "smart" and waiting to see how things played out, so the line was as long as a stretch of I-95.
People can play armchair quarterback all they want now that the battle is over, but from what I saw, making a call wasn't easy. Opinions were split, debates broke out, and we ultimately decided it was better to stay back than to let 300 disorganized people flood the stands.
If all those geniuses who were running late—which seems to be a way of life, honestly; people are late to school, late to work... which explains exactly why this country is where it is—had actually arrived on time, there would have been enough time to buy tickets, check the blacklist, and we could have had a decent crowd of maybe 1,000 to 1,200 people in the North stands.
From my perspective, the decision to pull back was the least bad option available.
Perhaps this situation should serve as a lesson for the future: when we say 7:00 PM at the diner, that doesn't mean showing up at 7:59 PM at Starbucks, Dunkin', or whatever... It means being there at 7:00, or at the very latest, half an hour before the meeting time.
Anyone seeing conspiracy theories or some deep-seated ulterior motive in this is clearly hallucinating.
Next time, if everyone actually shows up on time, we'll see how it goes.
