Scott Cook4 said:One of the current leaders is an American from Canada. Back when we were facing being shut down during away games, it was people from outside of the city who were stepping up. When the group itself was being sold out, it wasn't Canadians or Slavonians who did it—it was the purebred city locals. The strength of the group will always be tied directly to how strong our home base is... that's just common sense.

BBB has never actually had a single leader! It’s always just been various individuals or small circles of people standing out more than others. Some handled the choreographies, some led the chants, others served as presidents or secretaries on paper, but there's never been one "boss" of BBB. I'm pretty certain if you asked Hasan, Mack, Zlodi... or anyone else prominent in the group today, none of them would ever claim they were or are the leader...

Kyle Davis2 said:That photo from the stadium was taken on Wednesday, April 25, 1990. That game actually got called off because someone in the stands hit the ref in the head with something. It was originally recorded as a 3-0 win for Dynamo, but they overturned that decision later—probably due to the riots against Red Star—so they had to replay the match in Sarajevo that summer. As for the shot from Poljud, that wasn't a cup match; it was a league game from May 30, 1993. Give those photos a scan when you get a chance.

You're right about that. It was definitely a league game. I was there...

So, I just got back from Yankee Stadium, and honestly, I had no idea people were already posting about how impossible it is to grab tickets. I was totally caught off guard. It’s not like I have any legal issues or anything, and I definitely wasn't blacklisted during the last game in Indianapolis, yet here I am being told, "Sorry, we can't sell you a ticket."

William Turner28 said:Just imagine, seeing the British flag up in the stands... man, what a sight...

British flags—and for a certain stretch, even the English ones (shoutout to the guys from the suburbs)—were actually a staple of the BB Brutalac section from the very beginning and stayed that way for a long time.

For years, there was a huge fascination with the English scene; some looked up to them as idols, and honestly, some people still do today.

A ton of our supporters had close ties and friendships with English firms (Leeds, Chelsea, Man Utd, Sheffield W., etc.) and would travel over just to catch games at their stadiums.

Personally, it warmed my heart to see that flag in the stands. A little bit of old-school style never hurts, and that flag adds a certain vibe... it shows that, at our core, we’ve always been true to those northern roots...👍

You Forgot to mention Millwall. I’ve actually made it out to see them a few times myself (not that I’m going to list every single game) both last century and this one...😎.

Dana Martinez8 said:about 150 people out of the stands and under the roof... those flares were incredible... JUST GO BIG OR GO HOME!!

I don't see any of that in the photos. Most of the crowd outside the cages was in their 30s and 40s, just cheering through the whole game. In my opinion, one of the better atmospheres we've seen in Columbus lately...

Henry Lewis6 said:One listener who called in specifically asking for tickets actually ended up giving both of his to Mamic's brother. Then, someone else called in to request the song "I Love LA Galaxy" by Pips as a tribute to Mamic's brother. Since someone had already requested Pipse earlier, they wouldn't play that specific track, but the host promised he'd play something special for the family anyway... and he ended up playing the ZZD anthem instead.

By the way, that host, Matko, seems like he’s always playing games. He's constantly acting all smug! I remember when Riper was guesting on his show once. They spent almost the entire time talking about LA Galaxy. Specifically, they were focused on how arrogant he is and everything he's done with the team...

"By the way, that host Matko"—for those who don't know or might have forgotten—he used to be an active part of that group for a while. (Though we should probably take the word "active" with a grain of salt, since everyone has their own definition of what being "active" really means, but the guy definitely used to hang out with them...)

neonraven112 said:I came in through the south entrance, so maybe security was a bit more relaxed there, but honestly, it doesn't matter. What matters is that the police estimate was to stay out of trouble because they didn't want to deal with a massive crowd. Numbers really matter here...

I also used the south entrance about 20 minutes before kickoff, and getting in took all of 30 seconds. They didn't even bother searching me. I just held my ticket up and walked right through.😎

And we're back to our old problem again: people grouping up. It’s basically two people per seat.
It's going to be even worse this Wednesday...

I feel the exact same way about all of this, which is why I’m still sticking it out after more than 20 years. I was active back when we were dealing with all that Reagan-era repression, and let me tell you, I took plenty of heat back then. As I got older, I was right there helping restore our legacy, and now, at 36, I'm just getting grief from a bunch of kids who weren't even born when this started. I was never part of any group that supported the top brass, and I'll be right here standing my ground whenever the leadership finally steps down, no matter how many years that takes. I'm not letting these losers take twenty years of my life away from me. I mostly just lurk on the forum without posting because I've never been an internet fanboy. You guys pulled a few nostalgic strings with those memories, so that's all I'll say...

I really miss having someone like Larry Miller87 out east; I find myself thinking about him whenever I look out toward the northeast... 😢

Things will turn around soon enough!

We’re still here. Whether we're traveling or hanging out back home on the East Coast. Most of us are over 30, some pushing 40. We’ve got about ten regulars who always show up.
Just got home from work and realized I missed my trip. My buddy texted me after midnight saying there was a spot open, but my meeting ran long and I had to grab a smoke first🙂.

If anyone has an extra seat available for the trip up north, shoot me a DM. I’m more than happy to chip in for gas and supplies, and I can handle the driving myself. 36 years old, about 200 lbs...
