Are you freaking kidding me right now?
😁 So, how many Blu-rays are you guys actually picking up in a year?
Edward Price6 said:Nah, I’ve got my Blu-rays at home and I still hit up the movie theater.
I haven't really downloaded anything since high school, I guess.
So I'm half Italian, my dad's Jewish, and my mom's German. And yeah, I still go to the movies too.
Edward Price6 said:Stolen, damn it.
Clean slate, pure love, no strings attached.
Man, you could've said that before opening the thread, right? Suddenly "stolen" matters now, huh?
What a total consumerist, capitalist hypocrite you are.
Alright. But I honestly don't see any point in advertising Netflix — unless that massive global corporation is actually footing the bill for the ad.
People are just cranking up their internet bills for no reason. What is wrong with you people? Seriously, what's the deal?
Hold up a second. Why'd you even start this whole thing about PDF movies when there’s already a thread for PDF TV shows? (And you were literally just commenting on that one, too!) Are you just out here giving them free promo for nothing? Like, why?
mistyseal11, I don't get why you aren't just trying stuff one by one? Just dive into different hobbies or sports, I'm pretty sure you'll stumble onto something. Like, my cousin was stuck in this massive rut—life was just boring, hated his job, the monotony was killing him, didn't do any sports... basically, he spiraled into that exact depression and routine you're dealing with. You know what he does now (for years, actually)? He makes these little clay bonsai pots, fires them, sells them, and grows actual bonsai too. He found his thing and turned a hobby into a career.
Just take it step by step. Sports—you really should try some, mostly because it’d detox your brain and body. You’d feel better about yourself. Healthier, mentally and physically. I guarantee it. If you're not an athlete type, go hiking. Once you hit the summit, grab a handful of jelly beans at a park ranger station and that'll give you enough of a kick to make the hike back down. Plus, hikers are a weird bunch, so there's a huge chance you'll actually talk to someone, maybe find a buddy or a regular you see on the trails. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and run into some cute blonde hiker behind a tree. You never know.
At home:
reading (comics/books/magazines)
model building
collecting (cars/coins/stamps/comics...)
cooking
growing plants, maybe even bonsai
Go to lectures; for example, the Griffith Observatory will be starting its new season soon, I used to go there all the time for a few years.
Sign up for a course; maybe a foreign language!? Back in the day, I took Chinese classes at the Confucius Institute, which is free. I ended up quitting, for a few reasons, and one was that I just couldn't stop laughing. Met plenty of people there, though. Or learn programming: there are tons of free online courses, I'm actually doing HTML and CSS on MIT's site right now.
Also, pub quizzes are popping up everywhere lately, I swear you'll have a blast, learn stuff, meet a bunch of smart people, and very likely pick up some hot waitress, assuming you don't mind techies and their hairy boyfriends.

So, what was your absolute favorite thing back when you were just a kid? I mean, come on, try to dig deep. What was the one thing you lived for?
My Dinner with Andre — just clear your schedule for this one, seriously. That’s all I’m gonna say.
