In my view, heading down to the merch shop has absolutely nothing to do with how much people post online
It’s funny how every single time they drop new gear (which is standard procedure), everyone starts whining about why there isn't more activity on the official forum while we're sitting here having intense debates
The difference between the official site and this place is that this is more of a pub than a place for formal group business... things happen here where
someone throws an idea out there and everyone else tries to convince them they're wrong (whether they're a die-hard BBB supporter or just some random guy drifting in from nowhere)
whereas on the official forum, you don't really have much to say because everyone's stance is already set in stone
Basically, I'm saying that just because someone isn't registered on the official forum doesn't mean they aren't going to buy something from the association
🤷
You totally misread what I was getting at. The shop and the new merch were just mentioned as one way to support our group, but the real point is that these endless debates lead nowhere, and as we can all see, all this arguing hasn't gotten us anywhere. The whole system of debating on this forum—just babbling and trying to win people over—is fundamentally flawed, and it's high time we started looking out for ourselves. We don't need to try and convince Boston Red Sox fans, outsiders, or any other hangers-on of anything. Our struggle is well known, everything is clearly laid out on the ZZD website, and that's that. If someone wants to be informed, they'll do it; if not, they'll just hang out here and annoy you with trivialities and cheap spins. Have we all gone crazy as we've gotten older? ☕
This isn't about differing opinions because so many questions remain wide open, whereas the actual stances and rules have been established a hundred times over. My advice would be that we'd be better off educating the younger fans on the official forum, sharing some good stories from away games, or organizing meetups and gatherings rather than spending all day wasting time on various forums meant for mocking the club, the mascot, or the staff, or supposedly "informing" people who aren't "in the loop" about what's happening in the group. This kind of behavior is just empty noise; everyone knows each other here, and I see you all enjoying your virtual social life quite nicely, but honestly, step out from behind your four walls, show up at the association, and let's actually get moving to do something for the group. Even the simplest thing in times like these is progress—taking it step by step, steadily, and if we keep moving forward, that dark cloud won't look quite so black ☕. I'm not trying to call anyone out, I'm just trying to shift your focus. Cheers.
