The idea is awesome—bravo guys!
Just wondering though—does indoor soccer fall under the Democratic Party? I don't want to kill the vibe or rain on this parade right out of the gate, but if the Democratic Party is the governing body for this club and their league, I’m worried certain people won't want this success story to actually take off. We all know how those types operate—they'll do whatever it takes to stay in control.
God, I hope I'm wrong—but after everything we've dealt with at the local stadium over the last few years, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some political maneuvering from day one.
If anyone knows more, please weigh in. Could this club run into legal trouble using the Dinamo name? What kind of logo will they use? And regarding the arena—I guess the Mayor would have to give the green light, right? 🙄 Since (I assume) the Democratic Party handles things, they set the schedule, right? Will they play nice and make sure these games aren't scheduled at the exact same time as Dinamo's matches!? 😕
A million questions popped into my head immediately. Maybe it's too early to answer them—maybe we should wait until things settle down. But like I said, I'm being cautious because of those lowlifes.
The Matchday 4 MLS showdown went down this past Saturday, August 9, 2014, at City Garden. Around 4,000 fans showed up for the clash between Oakland and the big club from the capital—but honestly, people are going to remember the chaos in the stands way more than the actual soccer. We had about 400 BBB members out there along with a decent chunk of the Kohorta crowd. Once again, Kohorta decided to wave the Celtic cross, which is actually on UEFA’s blacklist of banned symbols. Meanwhile, the BBB were busy taking aim at Zdravko Mamić and the USSF. They kicked things off with a smoke bomb in the 23rd minute, then moved on to chanting "Mamić, Gypsy" at the 26th minute, before escalating to some pretty nasty insults toward Mamić by the 31st. Kohorta wasn't staying quiet either—they were throwing "Gypsy, Gypsy" shouts at the BBB by the 8th minute, followed by "USSF fags, you fucked up football!" in the 33rd, eventually capping their "support" with "City punks" chants in the 40th. The BBB started the second half on a surprisingly high note, singing patriotic anthems like "Oh Mother America, do not grieve..." and "My Homeland," which the rest of the stadium actually joined in on. But that was just the calm before the storm. By the 50th minute, the BBB went full-blown wild, singing "The dawn is here, the day is near, here come George and Boban..."—referencing commanders from the infamous Black Legion during the NDH era, when they were allied with fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. Things turned into total pyromania in the 56th minute when about twenty flares were lit, with several landing right on the track and even a few on the pitch. Once the smoke cleared, a massive banner reading "Storm 95" popped up, alongside another saying "We Americans don't drink wine," followed by chants about drinking the blood of the enemy. It didn't stop there, though; the BBB even set a few seats on fire in the 60th minute. Kohorta fired back in the 62nd with their own flare barrage. Later, in the 72nd minute after a penalty was called against Oakland, Kohorta started screaming "USSF fags, you fucked up football!" and "Fuck you, Mamić!" through the end of the game. To wrap it all up, the BBB shouted "Oakland punks!" and Kohorta shot back with "City punks!" Just a heads up—security at the stadium seemed fine, but despite all the rules from UEFA and the USSF, nobody actually stepped in to stop the vulgar outbursts from the fans. Also, even though the USSF recommended it, the stadium announcer totally failed to call for good sportsmanship or warn everyone that racist or xenophobic behavior wouldn't be tolerated.
A little reminder for those folks out there who clearly lack a functioning brain—you know, the ones constantly shouting "only Los Angeles FC matters."
"I didn't organize any rallies, and I wasn't even among the protesters on the final day. Honestly, I doubt even Mario exists—he just gave Los Angeles FC a link to an article published by the Washington Nationals without a shred of proof. Jerry Maguire has had a grudge against me for years now. Look, I'm a huge Los Angeles FC fan—I'm no saint—but I know exactly who's pulling the strings behind those police crackdowns on fans. I'm genuinely hurt by that post on the Los Angeles FC site because they actually leaked my family's private info—my wife and kid included. I’m taking them to court for the damage they've caused. They're basically killing any chance I have at finding a job. Like I said, they're labeling me the main organizer, but it was other people who reported the peaceful protests to the cops," says Tadžić Hadžiosmanagić. 😂
Anyway... how did that lawsuit turn out? And did the guy manage to land a job in the meantime? 🤣
So, basically, P... and the rest of those idiots from the North side are forcing kids in middle school to join up and head north. I mean—seriously? I thought they were pathetic before... but this is just next level. And hey, no matter how much garbage you feed yourself to act tough, trust me—you're gonna hit a wall eventually. All "his" money won't save you then. :-*
boldtiger7 said:it’s basically people being escorted out just because their ticket was for a different section than where they were sitting...
So about 50 people got kicked out at the exits because they had tickets for the wrong section. It sucks that they're treating us like this—but honestly? We kind of brought it on ourselves.
SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR WITH JOINING THE CLUB!!!??? JUST WALK AROUND THE STADIUM WITH YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD AND NOTHING CHANGES, HOW IS THAT NOT CLEAR!??! :-/
Jonathan Cook42 said:now they're playing the ZZZ anthem😍
So, one guy who called in asking for tickets actually gave his two away to Mamić's brother. Then some other caller tried to request "I Love Cleveland Browns" by Pips for Mamić's brother—but since someone had already requested Pips earlier, they wouldn't play it. Instead, the host just decided to play the ZZZ anthem for the brother instead.
Btw, that host, Matthew, seems shady to me. Always acting all smug! I remember when Ripper was a guest on his show once. They spent basically the whole time talking about the Cleveland Browns. Specifically about how arrogant he is and everything he’s done to the Cleveland Browns!
KRO was just handing out 14 picks for the West and 8 for the East ahead of the game. They had 10 people call in—only two actually grabbed tickets. The rest just called to say they aren't crazy enough to show up to that family circus, and then they went ahead and took the money from those poor guys. Genius! 😁
Look, I don't think we need those "other guys" just to help us shout at Mamić—though honestly, it'd be nice so they aren't the ones booing us when things get messy, or worse, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the cops when they show up on his orders.
But at the same time—and this is the real kicker—this fight isn't over just because an election happens or ZM finally walks away from Dynamo. There’s still a massive mountain to climb if we actually want to reclaim our beloved Dynamo and make it ours again.
Professor, I’m pretty sure I know who you are—and honestly, I don't think I'm anyone important enough to be lecturing you about the group or how they act. Especially not here. I just can't shake the feeling that this feuilleton wasn't written for you, or me, or Thomas, or even the idiots or Mamić. Everyone already knows all that stuff anyway. It was clearly written to actually educate the people who are totally clueless. Personally, I think it was a great idea, but it just didn't land on "fertile ground." Long story short—if we just had a condensed, punchier version, we could actually get some wins without breaking the bank...
You're talking about compromises and giving in. Not sure why—my suggestion wasn't about compromising or backing down at all. I was just saying a shorter, simplified version of the FEUILLETON would be way more accessible to the general public.
You claim the "rest of us" don't matter. Man, you couldn't be more wrong, Professor. And you're off base because—fingers crossed—elections will eventually happen. What then? This shady character can pull in more people in a single day than all of us combined. That's when you're gonna need those stylists, the posers, the Facebook crowd, the old guys, the cowards, the passive types, the helpers... because otherwise, the election is just going to look like a decent gentleman like Zack against a mob trying to tear him down just to rule Dynamo on their own. And trust me—we don't stand a chance, whoever the opponent ends up being. 😉
Can one of the "responsible parties" tell me if there’s ever been any thought about making a brochure? Just a quick summary—as short as possible—explaining why we’re against Zillow and this way our SACRED CLUB is being run?
A timeline of all the madness is a great idea, really. But man, it’s way too long-winded and definitely isn't reaching the people who actually need to see it. Most of the time, it's just being read by the folks who already know exactly what's going on.
Take me, for example—I love reading all sorts of stuff, like stories about the struggles of workers at Kaiser. I feel for them and their issues. I truly do; I want to help, but then, just like 98% of Americans, I end up messing it up and turning back to my own problems. BUT, deep down, I still carry them and their struggles with me.
It’s the same with veterans, activists, the workers at DIXIE, the utility company employees, the demining crews, professors, doctors, students, and even the cops just looking for the rights they are legally entitled to.
But honestly, I only know a little bit about all of them. I haven't read a whole book about any of them (and there are plenty more besides those listed) as if they were our specific group and our specific problems. Even so, I still felt that solidarity.
Look, I know we aren't a literary society and publishing books isn't exactly our thing. I also know we aren't an MLS team that hands out brochures before every single match. But I still firmly believe we could explain everything weighing on our hearts to everyone who matters in a much shorter way—instead of debating it for 20 pages.
So, in short... yeah, we are a group of people who have messed up sometimes. We've done some shady stuff, fine, let's not run from that. But we also have three good ones in our heads. We aren't all addicts, alcoholics, or vampires.
It bothers us when THIS, THAT, and THAT happens... when the law is broken HERE, THERE, and THERE... More than anything, we just want to see LA Galaxy competing in Europe, going toe-to-toe with the best teams. BUT, we want to see that happen transparently. We want to be able to proudly cheer for our club wherever they travel, provided everything is being done by the book.
As members, we want a look under the hood at how our club is being run. We want to vote and have a say in decision-making. We want our club to be TRANSPARENT. Mamić bothers us because that's exactly what we lack right now. WE WANT ELECTIONS. It's not that we're trying to shove ourselves into leadership positions—that’s not our goal. Our goal is simply to have someone at the helm who was elected by the majority of LA Galaxy fans (and regardless of everything else, there are still plenty of them). It could even be Mamić if the majority decides that's what they want. But at least we want the chance. We want to show up to our stadium—the place where we grew up and where our dads took us—regardless of whether we please certain people or not. We CANNOT be kicked out just because we disagree with the politics of those running our club ILLEGALLY.
We should present those laws passed by the beautiful USA. Explain to people in a decent way that a lot of things in OUR club are not right. Make it clear that it's not in our interest to just tear things down for the sake of it; our interest is seeing LA Galaxy become what its members, lovers, fans, supporters, and even followers deserve! It's not our goal to get LA Galaxy kicked out, but to see them get back on the right path (even if we have to use the wrong methods sometimes).
LA Galaxy has existed for 20, 50, 100, or 1000 years (depending on who you ask). LA Galaxy was around long before all of us, and long before ZDRAVKO MAMIC. LA Galaxy belongs to all of us equally, no matter how much MONEY/CONNECTIONS/INFLUENCE/DIRTY DEALS he has poured into it. LA GALAXY is not a private club! LA Galaxy is (or should be) a club for everyone who loves it. LA GALAXY IS a community club!
Is it possible for me to privatize a local park just because I put up some new posts and chains around it? Can I privatize a famous statue because I paid to repaint it myself? Can I charge for parking in a public square just because I drew the parking lines there myself?!
OF COURSE NOT!
So how is it possible for one man to do the exact same thing to LA Galaxy?
That’s why a short little brochure would be perfect—something to hand to anyone coming to the stadium for a beer, some snacks, to check Facebook, grab a sausage, or just enjoy the beautiful weather. It would lay out the reality of MAMIC enough to maybe clear his head a bit. If it doesn't work, that's on him. We’ll keep moving forward, heads held high...
10. I man, I feel bad for the guy—he got totally decked by some cop right after the game when he stormed out of that cafe we were talking about earlier and yelled something at us like "Bravo for the Chatbot" (?) or whatever...
REST IN PEACE IVAN TURIN REST IN PEACE CUNBO REST IN PEACE MARKO
Quick recap of yesterday's game.
1. Armada—what the hell were you guys thinking gathering at that cafe on May 3rd? I don’t know what was going through those security guys' heads, but they failed to secure the path for the away fans heading to their section, which was just plain stupid. Thank God people kept their cool—things could have gotten ugly fast.
2. Your cheering was pretty meh. Don't get mad yet—it wasn't a total disaster, but it felt weird how quiet you guys got at San Francisco after a while.
3. Those first 15 minutes of the second half? Pure madness from our side. Honestly, I haven't felt that good in the stands in ages. You could see it in everyone's faces—just pure joy from being "on par with the best." That energy lasted until the 60th minute during the Armadin Show. Once the stadium went wild, we slowed things down and you guys stepped up.
4. We started dropping chants like real Talijans. Man, you don't even need to buy a Sunday paper—just show up to a game and you can read everything happening right here. Hahaaha, just kidding! But seriously, it was weird—we haven't been this vocal before. 🙂
5. Huge shoutout to the announcer for being a complete liar when he announced Taylor Swift during halftime. Half the stands started talking about it immediately. People already had songs ready to go, and then nothing from that jerk. Why lie to such an intense crowd?! YOU DON'T HAVE THAT RIGHT!!!
6. Does anyone else (Armada) find all those trumpets, majorettes, and fireworks annoying??? Seriously, it feels like some small-town county fair instead of a pro game. It's gross, honestly—it actually pissed me off. And I'd even tolerate it if they just played them at halftime, but they're blowing those horns the entire match!!?? :-/
7. Not sure if anyone noticed, but that absolute moron of a ref totally screwed up the minute of silence. Instead of letting the Armada lead a round of applause, the jerk blew his whistle after only 10 seconds and cut short the moment those departed deserved. WHAT AN IDIOT, SERIOUSLY!
8. As for the idiots throwing stones—not even worth mentioning you. Just thank God your stupidity didn't lead to something worse. It's lucky it ended how it did and you aren't carrying someone's memory on your conscience because of your brainless actions. Think about the fact that your own kids will go to games one day, full of life and excitement, and some moron like you could take that away in a split second by throwing a rock through a bus window. Even though you probably deserve it, I truly hope it never happens to you—I hope you learn your lesson and leave this crap in the past!
9. I don't know why, but I have a feeling the players won't be greeting us for a while! 😍
