I really respect everything you wrote here, word for word. I guess what you're saying applies to pretty much every level of society, both here in America and abroad. There’s been a generational shift, and with it, a new crowd of kids following completely different trends and prioritizing things that others might find trivial. It feels like the traditional values that used to carry so much weight have just evaporated on their own, so maybe it’s hard to blame anyone specifically for that.

The claims made by LA Galaxy regarding the east stand entrances being open until 3:45 PM were quickly refuted. One LA Galaxy fan (details known to our editors) sent us an email providing his own version of what happened..

"To whom it may concern,

I just wanted to follow up on your article regarding today's (05/03/2014) match between LA Galaxy and Slaven Belupo played at the Rose Bowl at 3:00 PM. In your report, Krešimir Antolić, the man in charge of security at the Rose Bowl Stadium, states that the stadium entrances remained open until 3:45 PM. That is simply not true. We bought our tickets properly around 2:15 PM. We passed all the entry checks. We actually tried to enter the stands at 2:45 PM.

However, at each of the five stand entrances, there were three guards from the Sokol Marić firm standing there. When we showed them our tickets, they told us they had been 'ordered to close everything off.' When we asked who gave that order, they only said it was the organizers. Every time we asked them to bring someone out to explain things to us personally, they just stayed silent. In the photo I am attaching, you can see me standing right at the entrance to the stands in front of the closed doors. Since more of us ended up stuck under the stands than those who actually made it inside, the people who did get in decided to come back out with us, mostly due to some unprecedentedly heavy-handed measures. The American police wouldn't even let us leave the stadium immediately; instead, they blocked both sides of the narrow walkway in full 'combat mode,' holding us there for 20 minutes. I guess they were probably expecting an improper reaction from us so they could crack down on more people and hand out more fines or bans from the Rose Bowl camp. I suppose I should thank God that everyone kept a cool head and left the stadium peacefully, so no incidents occurred."

Derby highlights. It was a decent turnout, and I guess our supporters were pretty loud, especially in the second half. The Bad Boys seemed pretty static and uninspired, though. Honestly, it felt like they spent more time watching the shouting matches between the East and North sides than actually cheering. I probably shouldn't even bother commenting on the guys from the North side.

About half an hour ago, Mamić was standing in front of the cameras waving photos of our group members, basically labeling the Kansas City Chiefs, the Black Knights, BBB, ZZD, and four legends as nothing more than Democrats and organized crime. Meanwhile, you all haven't moved an inch from arguing over who’s a former communist and who’s a fascist. I honestly don't know what else to say to get you guys to move past this stalemate, because these forum debates feel like they're coming from single-celled organisms. As soon as someone calls someone out, four geniuses jump in to act tough, just going in circles. You have that one thread dedicated to the old lady where you spend all day trading bitter insults, but maybe we could use a little bit of actual constructive conversation here.

I wonder why nobody here discusses the derby from a supporter's perspective. Instead, everyone just bickers about which clubs are backed by the establishment or who's a fraud. It feels a bit petty, almost like a group of gossiping old ladies, and honestly, our stands look as empty and uninspired as a couple of rounds of an ATP Tour match. I guess the NFL fans did a pretty decent job today—from the turnout to the chanting and the march—whereas the Blue Army seemed completely sluggish and indifferent. Those nursery-rhyme chants they use feel incredibly tedious and cheap to me. The truth is, our derbies seem increasingly lackluster season after season, while this forum stays stuck in some outdated era from the 1940s. We might just end up tearing ourselves apart before the USA even gets a chance to beat us.

They basically pulled the rug out from under us by canceling those vouchers, and I guess we fell for it like total amateurs.

I think this only applies to our specific group; I doubt anyone else is getting treated this badly. Besides, they were already pulling similar moves even when the vouchers were still active.

Brandon Anderson34 said:There’s a lot of talk going on, but there’s hardly anything being said about the derby atmosphere from a supporter's perspective.

I'm posting this on the Bad Boys thread, not the general one, just so I don't come off as provocative. But honestly, I have no idea what is happening with the Black and Gold Army when it comes to the cheering.

We did what we could, considering the harassment, the bans, and I guess all the other ways they try to fight against us. To me, it was total madness during the first half, and it's a shame that energy didn't carry over to the second half when more people were there, especially given how much the police were stopping people at the entrance.

But the North Stand at the Rose Bowl today and even ten years ago—those are two different worlds. That intense energy from back in the day is gone. In terms of pure support, maybe it's zero; the numbers were great and the stands were full, but I didn't hear a single song that made the stands shake. Even when things were messy with the ownership, you just didn't feel that roar from the crowd or that pressure meant to make the management sweat. It's a shame, because this derby used to be called the European derby, though the home team always carried the burden of living up to that reputation. In my opinion, the home side completely failed yesterday regarding the atmosphere.

I blame the league, mostly. I guess nobody can pull off six derbies in ten months with the same level of intensity. On the other hand, I find it hard to understand why they repeatedly focused their chants exclusively against the Bad Boys and the other local club. Why push for a massive choreo across the whole stand, only to end up stuck in a group that can't even turn around because of the arrests, bans, and persecution dictated by those organizations? Once or twice is fine, but I think there has to be a limit to good taste, especially since we were all marching toward the stadium together just four months ago. From what I heard, nearly 50 of our guys were detained, and I don't really have words for that.

He’s actually flirting with the cop after getting arrested, and then we wonder why they never face any consequences. I guess it just happens. 🙂🙂

Anyway, here’s the full video:
I guess there might be some truth to the rumors about the coach leaving. It seems like things aren't working out as planned, maybe. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see how the management handles it.

I suspect that might just be his private security. It doesn't look like they were taking him into custody, but rather just moving him away from the scene. If you look at your video, you can see how they were holding him while they pulled him out, whereas the guy in the red vest was treated quite differently. I guess.

I suppose this video might be worth a look. It seems to offer some interesting perspectives on the subject, I guess.
Take a look at that guy at 0:24, hitting the kid just as he's coming out of the tunnel. I guess he'll probably get away with it again without any consequences. 🙂

It’s a pretty brutal track, especially with that slow tempo. 👍

Yesterday’s turnout was pretty low, as usual. After a few games where things went a bit crazy, we might see a crowd of maybe 450 to 500 people again once things settle down.

Even though the Boulogne Boys were officially banned back in 2008, I guess this event really marked the end for the Paris scene. Just twenty days after this clash, KOB member Yann Lorenc passed away. Around that time, the local government and the mayor started a massive crackdown on organized supporter groups, and they pretty much wiped them out within a few months.

The final game of that season against Montpellier saw dozens of flares lit as a way to protest against certain capital interests. Prices for next season's tickets were announced at insane levels, and the club started forcing everyone to travel exclusively with them, even deciding exactly where people could sit just to prevent any kind of organized cheering. I suppose the fans made a huge mistake by choosing to boycott; almost all the once-major factions—like Lutece Falco, Paris grintati, Milica Paris, Authentik, and Supras Auteuil—were reduced to just a few dozen people.

After everything that happened, this might be the first and last attempt at organized support at Park Princ. You should probably watch how the security guards react...

Robert Davis12 said:Don't get me wrong, I'm just saying we also paid $60 for tickets to see the Volunteers back in October...

That might be true, but the issue is that some people couldn't even get in today because they were told the West Section was sold out. 🙂
The ticket price wasn't really the point here.

Christian Jones said:I just got a few messages saying there aren't any tickets left for the West Stand. Maybe someone could check on that? I won't be able to get to the box office until after 4:00 PM.

They said the same thing to Torcida back in October, and half of the West Stand ended up being empty anyway.

One well-known BBB fan, Thomas Bauer, doesn't seem to see much of an issue with the song being copied. He noted that the "Bad Boys are being persecuted in their own city, yet they serve as role models for certain supporter groups in the West."
