When dozens of people start brawling in a bar, it’s perfectly normal for at least one guy to swing a chair or a bottle. Once that first object starts flying, there’s no stopping it. What you actually need is a referee to step in, shove those guys into a corner to cool off, and have an assistant coach dry them down with a towel so that by the next round, nobody is throwing furniture anymore...
I’m not saying this is "good," I’m saying this is how it works. If you travel to someone else's city and they jump you while you're having a drink, chances are things are going to start flying. That’s how it’s always been and how it always will be. It isn't just an American thing.
Do you honestly think Englishmen don't throw chairs? That’s how fan violence has always functioned.
Trying to fight the Terror Machine is basically like bringing a stick to a tank fight. They jumped you in their own city with 200 trained thugs, and you're acting like, "Oh, they're hitting me, but I won't throw a bottle or a chair because I want to be honorable and end up in the hospital"? Give me a break... stop talking nonsense. I’d never want anyone to get hurt more than a few scratches after a riot, but be realistic—that’s just how these moments go. Do you even know what those guys look like? Or what their training is like? I'm not exaggerating when I say they train at the level of MMA fighters... so what, are 200 of us from the coast weighing maybe 165 pounds on average supposed to take them on head-on? That's pure stupidity. If they invite you to a field to fight, it's fine to decline if that's not your style, but if they ambush you in a plaza and you have bottles and chairs right there, of course you're going to fight back... No matter how much we dislike them, what they pulled off in Poznan deserves respect. I wasn't at that fight the night before, but anyone who was there firsthand knows the Bad Boys held their own brilliantly, while the Lechovac guys were hiding from them most other days... It’s easy to sit here and talk trash, but what they did to us on match day is a whole different story that I won't even touch, but in Poznan, the Bad Boys were hands down number one.
