I honestly think Ukraine is going to end up at the negotiating table with Russia to wrap this war up, because today the Ukrainian Army pulled out of Severodonetsk and Lisbon, which basically means the Russian Army has full control over Luhansk Oblast and owns the place. I mean, what happens to the rest of Donbas? Maybe not all of it, but most of that territory and the southern regions might just be gone for good, and Ukraine might have to face that reality. Sure, maybe there’ll be some kind of counter-offensive where they claw back bits and pieces, but I seriously doubt the Ukrainian Army is marching into Crimea or Donetsk and Luhansk anytime soon. They had their window between 2014 and maybe 2018 to really train up the military and crush the separatists in Donbas with an offensive like Operation Desert Storm, but they just dragged their feet, and let's be real, those Minsk agreements were broken constantly anyway.
I truly feel for them, though—losing land like that feels like having your soul ripped out. I want nothing but luck and support for the Ukrainians, but the Russian Army is just too powerful. I guess I even feel a little bit angry about it, you know? Like, they just marched onto someone else's land under the guise of "this isn't yours anymore, it's mine because I'm stronger," and then they start swinging.
But hey, it is what it is.
I reckon this whole thing will be wrapped up by halfway through next year, and Ukraine is going to lose a massive chunk of territory. As for what happens to the East, nobody knows. There’s damage done to God knows how much, and who knows how Russia will even invest there while they're under all these sanctions? Honestly, I don't see those sanctions doing much besides hitting Europe and driving up prices; feels like we just shot ourselves in the foot.
It's just sad.
I'm honestly disappointed in people again, just... why do we do this to one another?
Sometimes I actually wish I hadn't been born a human, maybe like a dog or something, so I wouldn't have a conscience or have to deal with knowing what's happening in the world.
It’s just awful. This whole war feels completely pointless, just like when everything kicked off in Donbas back in 2014.
What do you guys think the outcome of the war will be?
And what's the final result of all this mess?
I was looking for this thread so I wouldn't have to start another one... lately, I've been wondering if I'm just some huge materialist (not sure why though, since my life is pretty much just average), but basically, I try to look as good as possible. Like, I don't even want to carry an iPhone (which was a gift, and I'm grateful for it, obviously), and sometimes I catch myself dreaming about having serious money or finding a way to make a killing just so I could travel. It’s been a dream of mine for years to have a nice car, maybe a high-end watch, just so I could walk around without constantly stressing about whether I'll be able to afford groceries tomorrow.
On top of all that, I keep thinking about how, if I actually had cash, I'd love for people—like those fake influencers trying to act rich on their trips—to be jealous of me. But then again, I also really want to help people who have nothing. Back in high school, I bought a meal once but couldn't even finish it because I saw this guy who clearly hadn't eaten anything and said he was starving. I gave it to him right then; I couldn't eat it knowing he needed it more, but I didn't have any extra money to help either way, so I ended up hungry, but I don't regret it at all.
I've never really been noticed in my life, not by girls or even just socially, even though I know I have talent, but whatever, I won't go there... and maybe that's why I think about how, if I had money, I'd want the opposite sex or just everyone else to finally notice me—people who usually look right through me. Maybe it's an inferiority complex? I don't consider myself a bad person (I hope), but I'm scared that if I ever actually make money, I might end up becoming a jerk, or maybe it's just this deep craving to be seen, trying to push through the crowd so I'm not invisible... I don't know... I feel weird, honestly.
Also, I've never lived a luxury lifestyle, and I'd rather die than steal from someone or screw anyone over just to live like that. I just crave things I've never had, like a PlayStation or a nice watch, etc. (that shouldn't be a bad thing, right?)
I've never had much luck with girls or even just fitting in socially, so maybe that's it. Or maybe we're just living in these modern times where everyone is chasing massive amounts of money; I listen to a few new songs and they're mostly about that... you guys judge if you know better.🙂
Is something wrong with me, or is it totally normal to think about how great it would be to be financially stable? ☕ 🙂
Hey, so pollen season is officially here and the air is basically just floating allergens at this point. It’s triggering my allergies big time, which you guys already know is a total nightmare—constant sneezing, red eyes, runny nose, all that fun stuff that just ruins your day.
Anyway, I grabbed some Alerix from Walgreens today since the pharmacist there suggested it.
Besides those pills, is there anything natural I can take to help dial down these symptoms?
I've heard people mention nettle tea, but I guess I'm wondering if it's safe to drink that alongside the medication without overdoing it.🤣
By the way, is it actually possible to cure allergies for good, or am I stuck just managing the symptoms for a couple of months every single year?😵
Thanks.
Hey, so my VTX HD 7870 Black Edition with the Tahiti chip is making this annoying Coil whine sound, and it’s driving me crazy. It gets way louder when I'm gaming, but even when I'm just chilling on the desktop, scrolling through Facebook, watching YouTube, or reading news sites... it still does it. Temps seem totally fine though. Since my warranty is already up, should I actually bother taking this thing into a repair shop, or is it fine to just keep running it like this?
Thanks
Thanks for getting back to me. I don't even listen to it every single day, though I guess it happens pretty often, maybe every other day or something. But before I head out for a night on the town, say, I won't use my headphones at all because I don't want to get stuck in my own head or whatever. And once I'm done going out, I'll probably skip the headphones again for like a week. Sometimes I'll just turn the volume down to basically nothing just so I can actually hear what they're singing... it works better for me that way, plus using a speaker just sounds like garbage quality.
Hey, so like, how much damage can those over-ear headsets actually do to your hearing? I’m constantly blasting music on my PC—mostly just moderate levels, though sometimes I crank it up way too high. I did that for about a month straight once and ended up with a massive headache and this constant ringing in my ears, kind of like 🙏. I’ve been using headphones pretty much every day for the last year, though lately I've tried to keep the volume at a medium level. It's not even heavy stuff like rock or hip hop, just some basic pop hits. What do you guys think about these kinds of headsets? Am I totally wrecking my hearing? Is there like a safe limit I should stick to, or should I just quit using headphones altogether? 😉
Hey everyone, just wanted to throw this out there because I'm kinda stuck. So my GPU is a VTX Radeon HD 7870 2GB DDR5 Black Edition, and honestly, everything was totally fine a few months back. Like, idle temps were nothing to worry about—maybe 31-34°C max while I was just hanging out on Facebook—and when I actually started gaming, it would hit around 75-76°C. But now, things have gotten weird, I guess. Even when I'm doing absolutely nothing, it stays sitting at 49°C constantly, though it still hits that same 76°C when I'm playing games.
Sometimes I even get hit with that dreaded Blue Screen of Death, mostly just when I'm listening to music through my headphones or hanging out on Discord.
Does anyone know what might be going on? Should I probably just take it to a repair shop or maybe try cleaning the dust out myself?🙂
