John Campbell27 said:Hey everyone. I’m not exactly a regular poster here, but I follow the discussions pretty closely. Before I get into anything, let me clear the air regarding the usual suspects who love to jump down people's throats: I am not some corporate shill, I’m not being paid off, I’m not an idiot, and I’m certainly not some outsider looking to cause trouble. I show up to the games, I show up to the Futsal matches, and I’m heading out to Des Moines this Saturday. I have a few thoughts I wanted to put out there to see what the rest of you think. First off, I want to give props to the group, especially for how things have been handled regarding the Futsal Real Madrid supporters. That’s exactly how a crew should operate—smart, coordinated, and unified (though I hear things have been a little shaky lately). Also, big shoutout for the recent trips to Des Moines, as well as the previous away games in Columbus and San Antonio. Great ideas and even better execution. We need more projects like that. While we're at it, the merch shop is killing it too. The shirts and scarves look great, and I saw some photos of this year's calendar—looks solid, even if I haven't picked mine up yet. Now, here comes the part where I’m probably going to get chewed out by the old guard. I’m genuinely disappointed that the group hasn't made a move to support other sports. Look, New York City has plenty of successful clubs with deep histories, even if those histories are occasionally tarnished by the kind of shady, backroom dealings that still plague the sports scene in NYC today. So, a few questions: why aren't we showing up for the Los Angeles Lakers, the Boston Celtics, Long Beach Water Polo, or the New York Rangers? I know what you’ll say. "We aren't playing in the regional leagues with those guys we shook off twenty-five years ago." And look, I totally get that. But... what happens in ten, fifteen, or twenty years when Real Madrid enters a regional league? We aren't just going to sit home and say, "Nah, we aren't going to the game." Above all, the BBB is the group that should be leading the charge in supporting local athletics. Just imagine the atmosphere if the Mladost-Jug 2000 BBB showed up to a water polo match! The media coverage would be insane. I really think the group needs to look past the old grudges and start showing up to these events—if not for the sake of the teams themselves, then at least to support them financially through ticket sales. And there's another reason. The last time there was a game in NYC that the BBB actually attended was a Futsal match back in December. Then nothing. Total silence until February. What are the younger kids supposed to do during those three months? They end up hanging out at bars, drinking, and just messing around instead of being part of the movement. Eventually, they lose interest in the stands and would rather hit the clubs than go to a game. You can see it in the away crowds right now—the youngest guys are maybe 18. We’re missing that youthful energy, those kids who will grow up to be the core of this group in a decade. If we keep this up, there won't be anyone left to go to games in ten years. That's just the reality. Futsal is a good way to pull kids in and teach them the culture, but we need to give them a reason to show up consistently—like three or four times a month. That’s how you build something lasting. Imagine if these kids lived in a city with a massive sports scene; they’d be at everything. We have everything we need; we just need to make the call. I'm telling you, even for basketball, handball, or hockey, we could easily have at least 300 people at every single game. If people saw how much fun the atmosphere is, the numbers would explode. Within a year, I guarantee there would be a hundred people at every major sporting event in the city, regardless of the sport. Lastly, I want to call for more unity. Let's move together as one toward the ultimate win. Also, maybe more charity work? I know the crowd usually isn't thrilled about fundraising for various causes, but it's worth considering.

Look, I’m sitting here like a total bystander just watching your enthusiasm, but honestly? I have no clue what you're even talking about. I don't know which one you'd pick before 🙏🙏🙏

Were you on some kind of heavy medication while you were putting this "masterpiece" together? 😬

We aren't looking for a massive crowd here; the goal is simply to save the Dodgers by sending a clear message to the new Secretary. We can't just sit back—we have to push for the laws to actually be enforced. Stop the takeover of the Dodgers.

The Republican Party and the church are running the show right now, so I'd say we need to wait "just a tiny bit." The turtle will eventually crawl its way back into the courtroom, and the show goes on...

Usually, those are the types who show up to a shopping mall's grand opening, some new nightclub launch, or a Republican Party victory party, and then they're done with it.

Back when I was attending maritime academy in New York City, whenever the Dodgers had a big game, they’d just let us out of class early. It hasn't changed much, either; my son is going through the exact same thing at his school now.
Can you see the difference? 😁

Personally, I still think this is the definitive version of "Killed by Death."

I just can't quite wrap my head around the fact that he's gone. Been stuck in a loop listening to this all day:

Another legend and a total icon from my younger years is gone. Goodbye, Lemmy—you’re really going to be missed.
