For starters, one's Korean and the other's Chinese, plus they aren't even close in terms of genre or tone. Comparing them just feels totally pointless. And honestly? This movie is like, a hundred times better than that overrated Parasite.
What is even the point of these words? Honestly, this is literally the only movie of the year that isn't owned by Disney—since they basically own everything now—and then people go and write this kind of nonsense.
So, you get this totally unique movie where the lead is a 59-year-old Chinese woman absolutely wrecking everyone in her path—and somehow, even that doesn't feel like enough! Look, I get it—you might not love it, and honestly, it’s definitely not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but man... at least show some respect for the sheer ambition and how fresh this whole thing feels.
Honestly, I should probably just stop touching this thread altogether... it’s better for my sanity if I stay out of this one.
you
The movie hits on depression, suicide, anxiety, family, fighting bureaucracy, how Space works, love, weirdness, and... everything else all at once. Just everywhere...😉😉
Quick update—the teacher didn't really catch my drift when I mentioned my little one shouldn't go to after-school care, so there was a bit of a mix-up about where she was supposed to be sitting in the library. I can swing by and grab her once her class wraps up right before religious ed. 🙂
Kids waiting for pickup stay in the library with the teacher, but honestly, they'll probably love it. Most school librarians are absolute gems and put so much heart into what they do... the kids won't be bored at all.
We didn't sign up for after-school care since we don't really need it. My teacher just mentioned it would be held in the library but didn't really go into any specifics. Maybe I'll get more details tomorrow 🙂
Also, there's a specific schedule for entering and leaving the school based on certain times and designated points. Since entire grade levels enter and exit together, I'm guessing that's why they're using the library...
Hey everyone, just wanted to share something that happened today—we showed up for the first day of first grade and already got tomorrow's schedule. Apparently, they have a two-hour block for religion class first thing! Is that even normal? Since when did we start doing these massive blocks?...
Our kid isn't even taking that class, so they'll just be hanging out with the teacher in the library for those two hours before we head home. It feels pretty silly to have such a huge gap compared to the rest of the week when the schedule is actually full. Plus, having religion classes at school feels weird, especially lately with how some first priests won't even let kids take their communion if they haven't been attending church services. On top of that, most of the school librarians this year aren't even letting kids hang out in the library, so I have no clue how this whole situation is actually going to work out. 🍿
I actually enjoyed this flick because it’s super sweet and Will doesn't rely on such gross jokes, though it definitely could've been better. I was surprised there wasn't any French in it, but whatever...
It was pretty cute seeing so many real Eurovision winners pop up, honestly made me feel all warm inside seeing them 😁
Rachel McAdams is amazing in this, Pierce Brosnan almost had me tearing up a couple of times, and that Icelandic jury for Eurovision is just hilarious 😁 🙂 the banker really doesn't want them to win <3 🤣

Was that feeling similar to waking up from anesthesia?..
You can tell just by your tone that you came here looking for a fight, trying to play the big man. Just drop the whole communist crimes routine and give a nod to the leaders who actually tried to wipe out fascism. We "powerless trolls" without any real arguments would love to dive into the actual title topic...
So, basically, you ban authors from suicide-by-curiosity until they hit a certain age, then suggest they skip the hanging or jumping off buildings and go straight for a dose of morphine instead. It’s much easier on everyone that way. Until then, maybe try looking at things from our perspective...
I honestly think ericsson only started acting like that out of pure desperation... you know, when people push you right to the edge and being polite just stops mattering. I also don't think neonmarlin39 needs a lecture on where they messed up, because they already know perfectly well.
Look, man, my first post wasn't even a reply to you specifically—I was just jumping into the thread someone else started. You totally took what I said out of context and basically argued against something I never actually wrote. I don't know how much simpler I can make this... ☕
neonmarlin39 said:🤣 What is even happening here today?? Why is everyone losing their minds? Even the stuff on Reddit feels chill compared to this thread, with people just jumping in with all this nonsense and hallucinated garbage. It's wild 🤣 So what exactly are you tripping on right now? Come on, let me wrap you up too 😁
Too much. You're the only one hallucinating here and pushing your own version of reality. 🖤🖤

Don't fall for it. That's just how they work—spout a bunch of negativity, then immediately pivot to "I was just joking!" or "It's just humor, man, we're on a public forum."
Being on a forum doesn't give you a free pass to ignore basic decency. Honestly, it seems like some people just struggle with social cues. This could have actually been a productive conversation, but instead, it turned into neonmarlin39 making excuses for being insulting and condescending toward everyone else... which isn't really worth my time.
Just ignore it if you're not feeling it. I never asked you to bail on the topic, just to stop acting like there's something other than infinity out there. A request and a prayer aren't the same thing, so let's not start playing the wounded martyr here...
neonmarlin39 said:Like, what makes asking "Do you even know how big the universe is?" rude?
I totally got it, don't worry. But did you get the part about the universe? Clearly not if you think that was being disrespectful 😁
Look, you started with all the prayers, so I just asked how intense your prayers actually were before deciding whether to grant them or not. Seems pretty fair to me, especially since we already cleared up the rules here.
If you can't wrap your head around my request, we can always talk business instead.
So, from what I can see, you haven't really given any decent responses to any of these forum prompts, and I wasn't even calling that post about space rude. You know exactly what I meant...
Besides, you were talking about outer space, but I was talking about the world—the stuff happening right here in our own backyard. Through some weird luck, I’ve had the chance to work with a lot of retirees, and they drive a ton of different perspectives. Some of them have found exactly what they were looking for, and they describe life as being totally complete, ready to move on. That’s what I meant when I said you’ve tried everything. Not every single thing that has ever existed, but everything your soul recognizes as "yours," or something that just fits...
You think you can just be rude like that? You didn't even catch what I was saying in my first post—I wasn't even talking about space. What am I supposed to do, hand you a trophy or something? Not happening.
