I’m looking for some help here. I have a laptop Dell Latitude that I bought back in 2011. It won't boot up—Windows 7 won't even start. All I get are the indicator lights along the top of the keyboard. One thing I did notice, though, is that when those lights come on, the icons for lokot A and lokot 1 flicker a few times before everything just settles down and the screen stays dark. What should my next move be? What do I need to do to fix this?

So, I gave it a shot, but the permanent marker just won't budge. Other grime? Sure, I can handle that, but this is a lost cause. Still, thanks anyway.

Thanks, I was actually pretty worried about leaving stains behind, but if you’ve already tested it out and it’s fine, then I think I'll give it a shot too.

We’re talking about the actual screen glass here, not the plastic bezel surrounding it...

I need some advice here. Does anyone know how to get permanent marker stains off an Apple monitor screen? I already tried a damp cloth, but it didn't even budge the mark. Can someone please recommend a specific cleaner that actually works for this?
