Trust me, I am beyond grateful... honestly—I just walked away with a broken nose, my boyfriend ended up with a broken arm, and my friend in the back seat cracked a rib hitting the seatbelt. The people in the other car were okay too, though one person had a fractured brow... but anyway, I won't ramble or go off-topic! Thanks again... I just totally panicked for a second, so I figured it was better to ask someone here who actually knows what they're talking about... and I promise, no more head shaking for at least a month! 😁

Keep in mind what I said about avoiding any bumps or hits for at least a month—plus, rhinoplasty patients really shouldn't be blowing their noses for those first two weeks... sounds like nobody mentioned that to you,

...

No, they definitely didn't tell me that... all I knew was to show up this Friday to get the cast removed! Thank goodness I know now—I actually just blew my nose because I was crying (there's a little scratch near my nose and I didn't want to make it bleed)... I knew I had to watch out for impacts, but I had no idea it would take that long! I just assumed things would heal super fast since the cast comes off Friday... is there anything else I should be looking out for?
Donna Johnson16 said:Honestly, it’s no wonder you're hurting—if you were messing with it while it was still healing, plus all that crying can make the tissue swell up—so just take a breath! You aren't going to hurt yourself by moving your head around too much.

Thank you so much!!! Seriously, you have no idea how much I was panicking! I had a pretty rough time with the anesthesia last time, so I'm really hesitant about going under again just because I was being silly... :/
Donna Johnson16 said:Your nose isn't just going to jump out of place on its own—but you definitely shouldn't be exposing it to random bumps! Don't you have a bandage over it?

I didn't actually hit myself—I just gave my head a little shake... I'm being super careful not to bump it... I've even started sleeping in the guest room just so my boyfriend doesn't accidentally swing his cast into my nose while he's moving around!
Yeah, I've got a "mask" or a bandage on—whatever you want to call it... the thing with the plastic/metal inside... I don't get to take it off until Friday! Btw, one side of my nose is stinging a little bit right now...
So, I was in a car accident about six days ago—total wreck. My nose ended up broken in the crash. The day after everything went down, I had surgery to get the bone reset. Everything went smoothly, and I actually just got my nasal packing removed today!
About half an hour ago, this awesome song came on the radio and I couldn't help myself—I started dancing with my boyfriend, even though he’s rocking a broken arm from the same accident. I did a few little head movements—maybe twisted my head two or three times—but I didn't actually hit my nose or anything. Still, now I'm totally freaking out... is it possible that those quick movements could have messed things up? Like, could my nose shift back to how it was before the surgery? It isn't bleeding and it doesn't hurt—honestly—it just feels a little weird inside my nasal cavity, but I can't tell if that's from the dancing or just from crying for the last fifteen minutes (emotions, ugh). The surgery was five days ago. Please help me out, guys—I am such a massive worrier by nature! 😢
Hey there!
First off, sorry if I'm repeating something—I scoured the first 23 pages and didn't see anything, and honestly, I just didn't have the energy to dig any deeper, but this is pretty important to me...

So, here's the deal... I've got a 64-bit version of Windows 7 running on my laptop along with Microsoft Word 2010. Since I've started getting serious about my writing, I really need an American spell check—it's just way easier than catching typos manually when I'm in the zone, and let's be real, re-reading hundreds of pages from scratch is a total nightmare! Does anyone know where I can find or download that spell check? I checked the Microsoft Office site and they have tons of different languages listed, but I couldn't find American anywhere... maybe I'm just totally overwhelmed or my "Google skills" are failing me miserably, but I would seriously appreciate some help... thanks!!!

Oh, and extra points if there's a way to grab it for free... :P
