HPV vaccine discussion in Women's Health ·
Has anyone here gone through the vaccination process themselves or maybe gotten their kids vaccinated...
What kind of experiences have you all had when it comes to side effects?😢
What should I get for a godparent gift at a Baptism? in Students & Teens ·
My kid is getting confirmed soon...
Honestly, all those huge, overpriced gifts feel totally unnecessary to me. They just end up putting this weird pressure on guests and godparents...
To me, having everyone show up for the service is the real gift...
For a girl, maybe a small piece of jewelry to remember the day by, and that’s more than enough.☕

Look, if you’re still feeling totally lost about what you actually want out of life, maybe the best thing is just to lean into a lifelong, ride-or-die friendship... something sincere that stays with you through thick and thin...
Since you didn't really mention any of your hobbies or interests, it's pretty tough for us to give you any solid advice...
Why not pick up a class? Maybe try dance, learn a new language, or dive into photography...🤷
Infertility and low fertility issues in Women's Health ·
There’s just way too little info here about the actual diagnosis for anyone to give any real insight... You definitely need to get a second opinion, though... then again, it's not like a doctor is going to say something like that without having a solid reason behind it.🤷
Issue with my big toe nail in Health ·
Trident is basically a triple-threat cream—it packs a corticosteroid, an antibiotic, and an antifungal all in one...
Basically, it hits fungi, bacteria, and inflammation from three different angles...
Since I'm not exactly sure what you're dealing with, Trident might do the trick, or it might not help at all...
If you're mostly worried about how it looks, you could try using a product from School District 3...
Give your nail a good trim first, then apply some whitening treatment...
There are also those antifungal pens you can pick up at a local drugstore, which might be worth a shot...
Unfortunately, nothing works overnight...
And yeah, they aren't exactly cheap either...☕
Skin issue—not sure what it is. Help! in Health ·
Just keep applying some Eucerin for about a week...
For extra care, grab an Eucerin hand cream that has at least 5% urea in it. It really helps if you're dealing with itchy, dry, or cracked skin.👍
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
You should definitely run this by your doctor first, but maybe give Detralex tbl a shot...
For cleaning things up, using an Ansoo liquid soap might help...
After you use the restroom, try washing up or just using some medicated wipes specifically made for hemorrhoids...
Also, keep an eye out for that Aromare Hemo ex oil; you can usually find it around $32 at the local pharmacy...
Sometimes, even old-school remedies like compresses made from parsley tea or witch hazel can take the edge off...
And honestly, I could go on forever listing every single ointment and cream out there for this...☕

Of course there’s hope... plenty of it...🙂👍
She shouldn't let this get to her too much... especially since nothing is official yet...
She needs to see a different doctor immediately—ideally someone a friend or her mom actually trusts and can vouch for...
She's way too young to be losing heart over this right now...
Good luck...
And please, keep us posted once she gets those other results...👍
Allin in Health ·
It shouldn't be an issue at all since it's available over-the-counter, which means you don't even need a prescription...
It’s up to the pharmacist to use their best judgment, check in with the patient, and lay out all the potential side effects or discomforts that might pop up. If the patient feels they can handle those trade-offs, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't give it a shot...👍
The key thing is making sure the patient is fully in the loop...
Besides, whenever we find ourselves in the patient's shoes, we ought to be asking for as much information as possible before making a call...☕

Every single weight loss medication comes with its own set of side effects...👎
It feels like a lose-lose situation: you either deal with the extra weight, struggle through the side effects, or just try to starve yourself until you're burning more than you're consuming...😢
And then there's the final hurdle—when nobody can even qualify for treatment because their BMI is under 30 or their waistline is already under 35 inches for women.👍
Doc... help... it hurts! in Health ·
I’m not really following how Dr. Smith landed on the kidneys being the issue.
You could be looking at gallbladder problems too, especially since you've got those stomach pains and diarrhea hitting at the same time...🤷
Doc... help... it hurts! in Health ·
Look, if you go to the ER acting like you don't have any symptoms, they aren't going to do much for you. They need more than just "it hurts" to run tests. Did you actually have a fever, were you throwing up, or was there anything else besides those unbearable pains? Also, do you live in New York City?

It’s just pure chaos at this point..
I mean, honestly, there’s no sugarcoating it—the doctor really dropped the ball here..
And maybe you could have pushed back a little harder to get what you needed...
But look, what’s done is done..
The real mess is that the doctor is panicking because an insurance auditor is coming, and he hasn't done enough to pin down the actual diagnosis...
Just tell the auditor the truth. At worst, you might just be cleared to head back to work.. the doctor will wrap up your medical leave and give you the paperwork to hand over to your employer...
And just a heads-up: expect your paycheck to take a pretty big hit next month😢

Alright... anyway, there aren't any symptoms of female-related health issues... unless the doctor is totally off base...
Doc... help... it hurts! in Health ·
Could these symptoms be kidney stones?
To figure that out, you’ll want to start with a standard urine test... then see a urologist for a kidney and ureter ultrasound...
From there, the urologist will decide if you need any more specific testing...👍
Doc... help... it hurts! in Health ·
For every specific diagnosis, there’s a set number of sick days a doctor is allowed to authorize...www.ssa.gov
When your doctor puts you on medical leave, they hand you a notice for your employer that you’ve got to turn in within three days...
That paperwork will clearly state how many days of leave are expected...
Once those initial days are up, if you need an extension, you have to head to a medical review board with all your test results in hand...
The doctor obviously gets visited by a disability caseworker...😠
Honestly, your post is a bit of a mess...
Why didn't your doctor refer you for further testing? 🤷
Bivacyn in Health ·
You can find this at any local pharmacy... no prescription required.🙂
Best antacids for a sensitive stomach? in Health ·
Make sure you eat something the day before, and definitely grab some breakfast in the morning...
Try to stick to meals that aren't heavy or greasy and won't cause bloating—so skip the beans, peas, broccoli, or cabbage...
For breakfast, maybe just a plain sandwich...
Avoid milk or dairy, fruit, and chocolate. Keep it savory, not sweet...
On an empty stomach, try taking a lactobiotic like Prolife or Linex...
Seldiar caps can be great for calming down intestinal irritation, though I'm not sure if they'll let you pick them up over the counter at the pharmacy without a script...
You could always explain things to your doctor—tell them about the irritable colon triggered by stress—and they might write you a prescription or at least a private one so you can get what you need...
Persen can help with relaxation; just take one pill every four hours...
Or maybe try a belmiran dan... I’d recommend that starting the day before...👍
Let me know if it helps☕
Bivacyn in Health ·
stormymaker24 said:And when exactly did they pull it from the shelves? I’ve been picking mine up at my local CVS on a regular basis for two or three years now.

Two or three years is a pretty long stretch... Bivacyn has actually been off the market for almost two years now.
Someone might have had a little stash left over, but you definitely haven't seen it in a pharmacy for at least a year... The spray just made a comeback a few months ago, but unfortunately, it's all got a really short shelf life.👎
Bivacyn in Health ·
You can't really find Bivacyn powder through the usual pharmacy channels here...
Right now, the only way to get it is in a spray format...at least in my neck of the woods.
Things might be handled differently over in Austria...
If you need an antibiotic powder that does the exact same job, you could look into Tyrosur $9.00...☕
