Weight loss and infertility issues in Women's Health ·
crimsongull4 said:Seriously, what's your deal? Just because someone doesn't get pregnant by accident doesn't mean anything. Like, what if a condom breaks and you're left high and dry? That's just how it goes sometimes. It really doesn't look intentional to me. Ugh, come on!
Yeah, she's ovulating; we're actively trying. You don't need to lecture me here.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the input.
And honestly, she doesn't look nearly as thin as you guys probably think based on those measurements. You can't see her ribs or any of those sharp angles, haha. She just looks a little lean because she's naturally petite 🙂

It wasn't a lecture...
But when you go asking questions, you've gotta be ready for answers you might not want to hear...😁
And let's face it, condoms aren't foolproof—you said it yourself. So if you're worried about an accidental pregnancy... just think about it...👍

Aside from the fact that having a baby isn't exactly at the top of my priority list right now, I've also got this underlying anxiety about the physical side of things. If I did end up pregnant, I’d be genuinely worried about how my body would actually handle the pregnancy itself. That's just one more reason why I'm asking all these questions...

Look, let's be real—nobody gets caught up in something like that "by accident." It doesn't just happen.😲
Let’s be real: being an adult means knowing how to handle the heavy stuff, and that includes understanding the basics of conception. It shouldn't feel like a mystery or some taboo subject you have to navigate blindly. When you reach a certain level of maturity, you should really have a solid grasp on how the whole process works.👎
If they don't want to step up and take the necessary precautions, they’re basically just asking for trouble. It's like driving without insurance—you might feel fine now, but you're really just waiting for a disaster to happen that you aren't prepared to handle. If they won't protect themselves, they shouldn't be surprised when things go south.🤷
And let's not go around questioning the health of a woman whose wellbeing might be compromised because she's underweight. It's just not right to judge someone's physical state like that.
Just because someone has a regular cycle doesn't necessarily mean they're actually ovulating. It’s one of those things that sounds straightforward, but biology is rarely that simple.
You both really need to focus on helping her recover and getting her weight back up.
Wishing you nothing but the best.👍

I’ve been taking Celeste for about a year and a half now, and honestly, they were great from day one. I didn't deal with any nausea or anything weird... it actually felt like I wasn't even taking anything at all. 👍
And I was really happy with the results. 🙂

As for smoking—I don't smoke at all, and I never have. 🙂
Regarding alcohol, maybe a beer or two when I'm out on the town, but that's about it. You definitely don't get those wild, blurry nights like you did when you were twenty!

I've heard about that folic acid stuff...
They come in pill form, right? Does anyone know of any good brands that are highly recommended? 😛

Thanks

Well, like I mentioned above, go with GNC or Life Time (they use the same distributor)...

Anyway, let's not get sidetracked by that right now since we're talking about birth control pills...
They aren't just for preventing pregnancy, either. Doctors prescribe them for all sorts of different women's health issues.
I just meant that if a doctor takes a really thorough history and then prescribes them, they probably know exactly what they're doing.😠

fadedheron892 said:It’s true—it's just the same hormones we already have naturally, just concentrated in pill form, exactly like you said. I used Beyaz before and didn't run into any issues personally. However, I did notice that girls who were taking Beyaz and Accutane at the same time really struggled. It seems like combining Beyaz with Accutane hasn't been studied enough yet.

Or Accutane... You really need to think this through and talk to a doctor before starting that stuff...

fadedheron892 said:I also read somewhere that the hormones in birth control actually help protect fertility, so there’s really no need for extra hormone-balancing vitamins—you just have to wait for them to clear out of your system.

It's more about how hormones are always present in your body, just at different levels...
Once you stop taking the pill, your ovaries take back the reins and start ovulation again, which the pill was simply suppressing...
There are actually plenty of benefits to birth control if it's prescribed to healthy women who don't smoke...
Most women just aren't aware of that, especially after everything went down with the Beyaz situation.🤷

fadedheron892 said:I honestly think it’s smarter to just start taking folic acid now since you’ll need it for pregnancy anyway. That said, definitely check in with your OB-GYN about the exact timing. Taking folic acid both before and during pregnancy really helps lower the risk of birth defects.

When you're planning to get pregnant, you should ideally be on folic acid for about three months beforehand...
Since all the major organs develop during that first trimester... you've gotta stay on top of the folic acid...
A prenatal vitamin can be taken throughout the entire pregnancy and even while breastfeeding if your diet isn't super diverse...

Grace Williams19 said:Hey everyone...

I have a quick question for anyone who might have been through this...

Basically, I’ve been on birth control for about a year and a half now. I'm actually finishing up my very last pack right now...
The reason I'm stopping is because I want to start trying for a baby soon—and I know it can take some time for your body to reset after being on those pills.

So, what should I be taking? Any specific vitamins, minerals, or anything else to help my body bounce back quickly and get back to its "natural" state?

Thanks so much! 🙂

Honestly, there isn't really anything you need to "recover" from...
If your cycles have always been regular and you've been ovulating, you'll likely be pregnant before you know it.
It would be a smart move to go get a full blood panel (KFC) done after a month or so, especially if you haven't had one checked in the last year...
I mean, just a standard checkup—blood work, iron levels, liver function, a urine test... it’s not strictly mandatory, but it gives you peace of mind knowing you're healthy and ready to dive in.👍
You could even start on a prenatal vitamin right now... or just stick to folic acid if you're already eating plenty of fruits, veggies, and meat.
GNC carries folic acid, and it'll run you about $20...
And obviously, forget about cigarettes, and stay away from alcohol too. Just relax and let nature take its course when the timing is right during your cycle...😍mid-cycle...
