If we were playing 5-on-1 against Doug, we’d be handling both the front line and those fast breaks without breaking a sweat. This current setup just isn't working...
Using System Restore seems like a solid plan, but I’m running into a bit of a wall here—I can't even get the search bar to pull up System Restore, or honestly, anything else for that matter... It's making things pretty difficult. Is there any way to actually reach System Restore in Windows 8 without relying on that search function? Maybe through the Control Panel or some other route... I'm really looking for a way where it's just a matter of clicking my way to the destination, nothing more...

The real headache here is that I can't even get a single program to download right now; nothing starts downloading at all, whether I try to trigger it manually or let it happen automatically like it usually does when everything is running smoothly...
Hey everyone... So, I’ve been running Windows 8 on my laptop and honestly, everything was smooth sailing until today. Yesterday I decided to install Google Earth, which seemed fine at first, but now things have gone completely sideways. Basically, when I boot up Windows 8, I hit that main interface where all the icons should be, but there's absolutely nothing there—it's just a blank void. I can barely even make it to my desktop without using some sort of workaround... On top of that, Google Chrome has stopped working entirely, and the same goes for Microsoft Word and even my photo viewer...
Now, why am I bringing up Google Earth specifically? Well, I have Norton Antivirus installed, and the only error that popped up during a full system scan was tied directly to that Google Earth installation. I tried to just uninstall it and get it over with, but I kept getting this error message: "Failed to extract Dll.ini file from the binary table." It really feels like something went wrong during the setup, and maybe I accidentally picked up something nasty while downloading it... I did find a potential fix online, but the very first step requires using Start - Run, and since my system seems to be totally locked down right now, I can't type anything into that "Run" box... Does anyone know an alternative way to handle this? It's kind of urgent because I'm heading out on a trip in two days, so any help would be greatly appreciated...
EDIT: Oh, and I should mention that Microsoft Excel and Internet Explorer seem to be working perfectly fine... Aside from that, I tried to reinstall Google Chrome, but the automatic download just won't trigger when I try to run the installer...
Sam Murphy said:I honestly think Bayern Munich is going through today... Real Madrid looks terrible on the road, especially after getting shut out 2-0 by a much weaker Borussia Dortmund following their 3-0 home win. Those Germans are just going to tear them apart.
Everyone keeps bringing up that Dortmund match, which is honestly just a farce at this point... Back then, Real Madrid was playing without Cristiano Ronaldo, and they missed a penalty right at the start that probably would have changed the whole complexion of the game. Besides, three days later, Dortmund's bench went out and absolutely dismantled Bayern Munich away with a 3-0 scoreline. Real Madrid actually excels when playing on the counter against Pep's style of possession football, so I'm fairly certain they'll find the back of the net today. Bayern might walk away with the win, but I'm expecting Real Madrid to advance overall...
Eric Fox7 said:I can't quite put my finger on why, but I’ve got a gut feeling we're looking at a total blowout in today's matchup between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid... 🤷 It isn't really surprising when you look at the numbers; in seven of their last ten outings, there have been at least three goals scored—and in every single one of those seven instances, both sides found the back of the net. Even more telling, in seventeen of their last eighteen meetings, there’s been at least two goals...
Real Madrid (-3+) vs Atletico Madrid: X2 @ 1.5 (9/10 success rate) (SS) Real Madrid (-3+) vs Atletico Madrid: 2 @ 2.30 (6/10 success rate) (SS) Both teams to score: Yes @ 1.85 (7/10 success rate) (HL)
And if the scoring starts flowing, it’ll likely be coming from Cristiano and Falcao, who are easily the most dangerous strikers on the pitch this season...
The books are even offering some interesting lottery-style options for players to score in both halves, with decent payouts:
C.R. scores in both halves @ 7.55 (2/10 success rate) (HL) Falcao scores in both halves @ 22.00 (1/10 success rate) (HL)
Over at DraftKings, they have a pretty intriguing proposition where both teams score in both halves:
Both teams to score in both halves: Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid @ 10.20 (1/10 success rate)
As per my usual style, I think I'll try a runner...
Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid: Half-time/Full-time 2/1 @ 27 (3/10 success rate) (DK)
FanDuel has an option for Atletico to lead at halftime and Real to win the game @ 8, though I’m hesitant to chase that one—it’s happened twice in their last four games, and three times in the last seven...
Don't you think 45 units might be a bit excessive for a single game, especially since these parlays wipe out completely if the match stays 0-0? Of course, anything can happen, but I just wonder what kind of percentage of your total bankroll that represents...
Eric Fox7 said:I suspect he's suggesting this game doesn't really matter much, given they're already sitting on a comfortable 2-0 lead from the first leg... 🙂
James Taylor3 said:I have a feeling Cardozo might actually get the nod in the starting lineup tonight. Rodrigo was out there playing against Newcastle on Thursday, and since Pep tends to rotate things quite a bit, he might just opt for a fresher—and frankly, more dangerous—Cardozo right from the opening whistle.
We'll see how it plays out... Today's match isn't really the big one; everyone is looking ahead to the weekend game against Sporting, even though Pep mentioned he’s planning to run with his strongest squad. There's a chance we see Kadec start too, though I suspect he'll probably just come off the bench later in the game...
Roger Phillips said:It looks like they’re going to settle on Jorge Jesus...
I was under the impression you might have some insight regarding the starting lineup... Looking at the stats, the spread is sitting at 2.00 for Cardozo not finding the back of the net, which feels interesting given he hasn't been in the starting eleven much lately; there’s a decent chance he spends tonight watching from the bench again... Plus, I caught some notes suggesting Lima has been having a field day against Pacos recently, so playing that angle might actually be a smart move...
Eric Fox7 said:Unless Dinamo concedes right out of the gate, which wouldn't surprise me one bit... 🤣
I was actually thinking more along the lines of ten minutes from when I originally posted, since SS kicked off today's offers with that specific parlay in the super picks... 😁
wiredcanyon39 said:I’m looking at the double win over Kyiv, and honestly, getting that kind of value at 7.00 on DraftKings feels much sharper than just taking the spread at 3.8...
The spread is going to climb north of 4.00 on DraftKings within about ten minutes anyway... Otherwise, I’m leaning toward the under on total goals at 1.90; it’s a toss-up whether Dinamo can even find the back of the net, and let's be real, Kyiv isn't exactly some high-flying offensive juggernaut either. In my book, a 0-1 or a 1-1 finish seems like the most likely outcome...
EDIT: The under on 3 goals is sitting at 2.05 over at FanDuel. It helps that the weather looks miserable with rain in the forecast, plus the vibe in the stands sounds pretty grim...
FC Barcelona vs Celtic FC, first leg at 8:00 PM, 2/10 odds for home win
With Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol, and Dani Alves all sidelined, FC Barcelona has basically been hit by every injury bug imaginable this season, so it actually feels like a decent moment to take a little swing on them at a lower stake...
Raymond Cruz5 said:I’m just not so sure about that... Brazilians will be Brazilians, even if they're playing at 2,800 meters above sea level. They basically bullied them 3-1 using mostly bench players, so there's really no reason why those same subs couldn't grind out a 1-1 draw now. If the home side manages to jump out to an early 1-0 lead, they might get a bit too eager to find a second one, and that's usually when you see them get punished...
Personally, I don't bet based on what's a "sure thing," but rather on where the actual value lies. If I put down $2.00 on something where the real probability feels more like 1.6 or 1.7, then I figure I've made a smart move for the long haul...
Roger Phillips said:Lakers-Celtics 1 1.90 The visitors are absolutely exhausted, dealing with enough internal drama and the looming threat of relegation from the NFL... They’ve basically admitted that their only real focus right now is staying in the big leagues... The players have been pushing themselves to the limit over the last ten days, and honestly, they look spent after playing four high-stakes matches in such a short window... The manager will likely rotate the squad and give some guys a rest just to ensure they aren't completely dead on their feet for the crucial league fixtures coming up... Since they managed to clinch the domestic cup and secured a spot in the Champions League, the Europa League doesn't carry much weight for them right now—in fact, it might even be a distraction during this stretch...
Millonarios is playing incredibly well and, at this stage, they are easily the top team in Colombia... They’ve been strategically resting their star players during the domestic season just to make sure they hit this return leg at full strength against the visitors from the USA... Plus, Bogota sits at about 2,600 meters above sea level, which is always a massive headache for US clubs... Even when they field their strongest lineups, major US sides have struggled in this environment, so facing a weakened Brazil National Team makes the visitors look like long shots...
The odds are sliding, and I wouldn't be surprised if they drop down toward 1.50...🤷
I'm with you there... I grabbed it at 2.10 and then added more via a parlay to get it down to 1.90 because I couldn't get the whole stake down at once. It’s already sitting at 1.70 out there, so I expect it to hit 1.50 eventually. It helps that the first leg ended 3-1 in favor of the Brazil National Team, because if Millonarios manages to grab a one-goal lead in the second half, the visitors won't be in any rush to chase an equalizer. It's a solid bet...
brightviper173 said:I was just looking over the Tottenham lineup for tomorrow, and honestly, it looks like a disaster zone... they’ve got basically their entire starting eleven listed under "injuries." I have a feeling they’re going to roll out a bunch of benchwarmers against Lazio. If I were you, I'd take a close look at how Lazio is planning to line up first, then maybe aim for a quick x2 bet. To be honest, there aren't many smart parlay options on the table tomorrow. Maybe Athletic Bilbao, Levante, and Napoli could work, but everything else is just asking for trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool trips up in Bern, too. If you've actually watched them play this season, you'll know exactly what I mean... Liverpool and AC Milan are practically carbon copies of one another at this point.
Word on the street is that Napoli might swap out their entire squad tomorrow as well, so definitely double-check that before you put any money down, because I can't say for sure...😉
But why exactly... Is there really any difference between a matchup like Seattle Sounders vs. Porto or maybe Celtic vs. Braga? If there is, what actually sets them apart... Sure, the Sounders played in an empty stadium yesterday, whereas Celtic's place will be packed and the energy will be electric, so I get that. That’s a massive factor. But beyond that? Is Porto actually better than Benfica? It's debatable, especially without Hulk in the lineup. We saw last night that Jackson isn't even in the same league when it comes to pure quality... Benfica has a fantastic squad, at least on par with Porto, if not better, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see them take the title this season. So, Celtic or Seattle? I'm not entirely convinced Celtic is significantly better than Seattle, or if they're even better at all... The gap in quality between yesterday's match and today's pair sits somewhere in the middle... Given all that, why shouldn't a Benfica win be considered good value? Of course it should be!
Good luck to everyone! 👍
What else do they have in common? Well, neither Porto nor Benfica managed to pull off a win in their last three away trips against either Seattle or Celtic... I can't say for certain about Benfica, though; they didn't even manage to find the back of the net in those three games, and you can't underestimate how much the home crowd matters. Seattle had zero atmosphere yesterday because the stands were empty, but Celtic is going to have massive support behind them. I'm just not sure if that constitutes as much "value" as everyone seems to be claiming... if it truly were that much value, Benfica would have a 55-60% chance of winning here, which means they'd win three out of every five matches... In my view, the odds are pretty realistic; neither Porto nor Benfica are such massive European giants that they should be overwhelming favorites whenever they travel... Good luck!
Udinese vs. Anzhi Makhachkala — Anzhi (-1+) at odds over 2.40 on DraftKings or BetMGM
Looking at this matchup, I really think there’s some serious value in backing the Russians, given they're playing out of their minds right now. Betting on them to win by two seems a bit too conservative when you look at these lines, though... Word is Udinese might rotate their squad and lean on some bench players to keep the starters fresh for their big clash against AC Milan. Meanwhile, Anzhi has been absolutely clinical lately, coming off five straight wins where they somehow managed to hammer in 16 goals over just four games—including that absolute demolition of AZ Alkmaar on the road, winning 5-0. They’ve found the back of the net at least twice in seven of their last eight away matches across all competitions. In my book, seeing a side led by Samuel Eto'o take on a depleted Napoli lineup feels like a massive opportunity... definitely looks like value to me.
