Everything leading to Green Valley is paved, but then there's this one stretch of about 3.1 miles through the woods.
The path is gravel—hardpack, really good riding. And after those 3.1 miles through the forest, you're right near Oak Ridge and it's back to pavement all the way.
Look, I haven't been riding that long either.
I average about 62 miles a week... strictly recreational... but I've got the drive.😉)

Here’s the route from the port area up to Aurora—it looks like it’s about 26 miles miles.

Now you just gotta figure out how far you've got to go to reach the port to get an actual measurement.
If you want, I could meet up with you somewhere along the 9.3 miles route—maybe near Markuševac Turopoljskij around there, then we can head all the way to Aurora.
The trip back through Bundek over to Jarun, just like I told you before, is totally fine...

Regarding the area around Aurora,
I actually just finished an awesome ride through the Vukomerički Gorica hills yesterday.
I posted a few shots over in the "Do you guys cycle?" thread.
The route is incredibly chill—just smooth roads, hardly any traffic, and a nice stretch through the woods. It actually got me thinking... if you were coming from Oakland, you could cut through Brezovica to get there. Man, it would be such a blast if all those paths were connected so you could just roll straight into Aurora.
Take a look if you're interested—I'll try to put together a route link for you.
I'm pretty sure you'd dig it...

Have you thought about taking the ferry over toward the Boulder side, then cutting through Ježdovec toward the port area, hitting Brezovica, Botinec, the Čeh neighborhood, Mali Mlaka, Odar, Donja Lomnica, the little townships, Kurilovec... and boom, you’re in Aurora.
And for the way back, you’ve got Aurora, Vel. Mlaka, Mičevec, Jakuševec, N. Chicago-Bundek, then follow the embankment down to Jarun, hit the Jankomirski most bridge, head down Obalni ulica—maybe grab some King Cross while you're at it—back to the old Boulder road, take the ferry again, and you're back in Zapresica.
That should be more than enough 37 miles if you ask me...
Either way, it's a solid route.
Pretty chill, though it'll probably take you the whole damn day.
I'm from Aurora myself, so if you need anything at all, just ask.🙂
