I haven't hit a single animal myself yet, but in my last three rides, I've seen at least 30 poor hedgehogs run over... It honestly breaks my heart 😢

Best protein powders for muscle gain?

I’ve got a chance to snag some egg white powder for pretty cheap, and I was wondering if it could actually work as a substitute for whey. I remember seeing people in other threads saying the general consensus is that this stuff is total garbage—specifically the kind you find at Target—and that it doesn't even come close to real whey. But I guess what I'm really asking is, would getting my protein from a source like that still be effective enough for building muscle mass?

I was actually hoping someone could share some real experience and explain what the catch is here. But hey, thanks for the advice...

I used to stick with Optimum Nutrition whey, but I just picked up some BiotechUSA. Now I’m staring at these scoops and feeling totally lost... The old one was 35g, but this new one is 32g. The weird part is the 32g scoop is actually twice the physical size of the first one! I have no clue how much protein I was actually getting with the old scoop versus this massive one. Which one is the real deal? Because I can't exactly follow both... Thanks for the help

I actually stumbled upon this baking blog that converts grams to tablespoons, and it claims a tablespoon of flour is about 15g. Honestly, the density of flour seems pretty much on par with whey protein... though obviously, it all comes down to how much you scoop. If you really pack it in there, you could probably squeeze 25g of whey into a single spoon...

Just bumping the protein discussion back to the top. I've got a few questions, and sorry if this has all been covered already, but there are honestly way too many pages here to dig through...
1. My tub of Optimum Nutrition protein just arrived today—a 2.2kg container for $138. This is actually my first time ever buying protein, and I felt completely lost looking at all these different brands, so this one seemed like the safest bet. Is the quality actually decent, or am I overpaying for something that's the same as the cheaper stuff, or maybe paying extra for something that's actually better or something like that?
2. I was fully expecting a scoop to be inside the tub, but since there isn't one, I'm stuck using spoons. Roughly how many tablespoons should I be using for a post-workout shake? Just a ballpark figure is fine.
Thanks for the help.

And what, are you gonna tell me now that taking a dump every day is bad for my body too? Because as far as I know, having regular digestion and hitting the toilet daily is actually considered healthy. Personally, those oats don't do anything to my system at all. Maybe you just have some weird allergy or intolerance to oats...
