President Josipovic sent his regards and extended his congratulations to the folks over at BK Pedalinac and Bbk krpelj for everything they've accomplished with this venture.

I am proud to announce to everyone who has been following our month-long cycling journey from Chicago to New York City that the Pedelinac crew finally rolled into New York this morning, July 26, 2012, where they were greeted with a proper welcome. After stops in Vienna, Strasbourg, and Brussels—which we’ve been keeping up with via the Pedelinac updates—they were received at Victoria Tower Gardens by Michael Bates. He’s actually the same fellow who spent three months trekking all the way from Olympia, Greece, to New York City last year to promote that UN resolution aimed at establishing an Olympic truce for the London Olympic Games.

Our cyclists have officially touched down in Dover, United Kingdom. They’re expected to roll into New York City tomorrow around 2:30 PM. Once they arrive at the United States Capitol, they'll be greeted by Michael Bates—and if luck is on our side, we might even see President Josipović, who's currently in New York City for the opening of the Olympic Games.

Huge congrats to the guys!!!🎉🎉🎉👋👋👋:lux :👋👋

Look, I’ve seen you on Facebook 🙂
Have you seriously forgotten Bambi’s stew and that Nemin paprikaš we had during the bicycle race over in Brdovc? Not to mention that group photo from the bicycle race in Kutina 🙂

As for Davorin, just let him ride. I still owe him some money 🙄

I am, Petra. I'm certain. 🙂
This video was filmed by Hrvoje from BK krpelj; he uploads clips to YouTube, but Davorin is actually filming a documentary.
I rode out with them toward Goican, so they gave me a little rundown of everyone's specific roles along the way.
other than the fact that Davorin is just spinning his pedals while filming everything along the way 🙂
Mario Mustapic from BK Pedalinac is writing travel blogs for a major US news site about his bike trip from Chicago to New York City
Our American cyclists haven't run into any trouble so far and everyone is doing great, so we just want to see them keep that momentum going all the way to the finish line.
On June 25, 2012, twenty cyclists from a local basketball club set off on an epic ride from Chicago all the way to New York City for the Olympic Games. They’re trekking through ten different countries along the way, 1865 miles aiming to wrap up the journey in 30 days. A crowd gathered at Michael Jordan Square to see them off—not just family and friends, but also some heavy hitters like the British Ambassador David Slinn, Albert Woods from the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, British First Political Secretary Chris Frean, and Slaven Hojski from the US Congress.

As of today, July 22, 2012, the crew is currently making their way from Brussels toward Ghent. If everything goes according to plan, they should finally roll into New York City by July 26, 2012.

If you want to follow their progress, you can check out the full itinerary and read their daily updates over at

There's even an article published by the British Embassy in New York City showing the massive support these American cyclists have behind them.

Good luck boy, finish strong!!
