Look, here’s the thing... we were talking about kids, right? Like, laying out the whole plan. And I always say, if it happens, it happens—you can't control everything. But then things get messy. In the meantime, they had this massive blowout fight, and she was actually away for a whole week. So, we're talking about a gap of seven days between when things happened and now, and suddenly she’s saying she wants to terminate the pregnancy? I don't know... it just doesn't add up to me. It feels totally illogical, like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Something just isn't clicking.

And then you guys were intimate on the 12th, 14th, and 16th, but only using protection after that? Well, then pregnancy is definitely on the table.

I'm just saying this so you don't jump to conclusions too fast. There's always that chance—and I hate to be the one to say it—that it might not even be yours.

We had sex on the 15th... but there was also some action on the 1st, so I really don't know...

Actually, it’s quite the opposite; my cycle is incredibly regular...

But if that's how it works, then why did my OB-GYN tell me I'm six and a half weeks along? Because that timing doesn't line up at all with my own tracking.

See, from a medical standpoint, the first day of your period is actually considered day one of the pregnancy.

So, if her last cycle started, say, on December 1st, she would have been at peak fertility around the 14th. If you guys were being intimate around those dates and she happened to ovulate, her pregnancy would be calculated starting from December 1st.

We seriously need to get better sex education in our schools, ASAP.☕
And honestly, it’s biologically possible for a woman to conceive just a few days after—or even during—her period.

The thing is, we weren't even having sex during that window...

and based on what she calculated, she actually ended up pregnant just two or three days after her period ended

It’s really starting to sit wrong with me... I have this nagging feeling I'm being lied to. Something just isn't adding up, you know? Like when you're looking at a puzzle and one piece is clearly from a different box entirely. It just doesn't square with reality.

I'm honestly not sure where the best place to ask this would be... but here goes. So, my partner had her last period back on December 5th of last year, and we went in for a checkup with her OB-GYN on January 23rd. According to the doctor, she was already about 6 and a half weeks along at that appointment. I’m just trying to wrap my head around the math—does anyone know roughly when conception could have actually happened?
