I mean, look at how they pushed out Gabby, even though she was actually quite capable.😢

copperdrifter26 said:Honestly, it feels like Andrej Plenković has a deeper grudge against MOST than anyone I've ever seen. I mean, seriously, this is next level. He’s basically out there acting like kicking them out of The Cabinet was his absolute favorite thing to do just to grab all the political capital for himself. It makes me think they probably had him on such a tight leash back then that he couldn't move an inch without their permission, and now he's finally cutting loose.

That was some seriously bitter bile coming out of him.🙏
It just goes to show how incredibly on edge he is right now.

Nancy Gomez26 said:Let’s be realistic about the Republican Party perspective here: that entire saga with the Bridge Party was actually a massive win for Plenković. He managed to break free from a suffocating coalition partner while simultaneously maintaining his parliamentary majority and total control over the country. More importantly, he displayed that specific brand of arrogance typical of the Republican Party, which, predictably, earns him points with his party members. It wasn't a small feat. He owes much of that success to the political amateurism and naivety shown by the Bridge Party leadership, coupled with the deeply corrupt methods practiced within the upper echelons of power. However, I suspect the average American citizen isn't particularly interested in Plenković's victories from the previous term—that certainly wasn't the focus of this latest congressional session. Someone needed to say it out loud (if they haven't already).

Saying he became a hostage to Bandić after kicking them out... you can't exactly call that a "win."

🍿Why did they scrub the part about the final court ruling from the headline?

Man, this just keeps getting better and better 🙏

Honestly, if you try to follow any of these responses, you’re basically watching your brain cells die in real-time. By the time you reach the end of this "conversation," you’ll feel like you've actually lost IQ points.

I know of several other instances where a highly competent professional finally hits their breaking point—usually because they’re stuck working for a bunch of incompetents who spend all day messing around, have zero chance for promotion, constantly belittle them, or just "sweep them under the rug" whenever they dare to ask an uncomfortable question. So, they leave a government agency, start their own firm (or join a private competitor doing the exact same thing), and essentially continue performing the same specialized work they did as a civil servant, only now they're making a much higher salary.

In a functional society, you’d actually ask why things reached a point where such a capable person felt the need to leave in the first place, but here, the attitude is just... well, screw 'em. whatever...

In the near future, this could become the blueprint. It would make sense for the city to hire someone else for the vacant role instead of continuing to pay her, especially at such a premium.
You can just imagine her opening her own business in Fresno just to compete on the open market.

At this point, it’s stopped being funny; it’s just plain pathetic. You almost have to feel a sense of pity watching them try to cover up the sheer stupidity of some Republican.

Well, obviously not... because was she even fighting for this? 🙂

Chloe Martinez7 said:One has to wonder, though... whose money actually paid for that Jaguar?

The kid was working through some student services back in the day. ☕

Just another flashy Republican hack—the mayor of Fresno... an employee of the city who worked on European Union projects left town and started her own firm. Naturally, that firm signed a contract with the city, so now she’s doing the exact same jobs for the municipality, just for slightly higher paychecks. 🤣

I mean, let's be real—there isn't a single way on this planet to embezzle funds without some Republicans trying their hand at it. 🙏

Those folks over on Telegram are honestly a godsend. I can say with total confidence that I've been a paid subscriber since the very beginning, and it's easily the best money I've ever spent. 🥳

The head of the Federal Real Estate Agency doctored her resume just to hide the fact that she doesn't even meet the job requirements.

Things are just getting more and more unhinged lately... honestly, if someone starts lecturing me about how inexperienced certain progressive groups are, I’m probably going to lose my cool on them.😠

Just look at this absolute legend from the Republican Party—he was out there fueling up his son's Jaguar using funds from the Firefighters Association.

The President of the local Firefighters Association, a retired news anchor, and—get this—a Republican city councilman over in Columbus.

It feels like nobody in this country actually appreciates the people who step up to be philanthropists 😢

Man, it’s not just about one scandal breaking every single day anymore, or seeing them pick people off one by one. It feels like they're finally going after them in entire groups now. 🙏

The unknown was brought on board by an unknown

I mean, who is this whole bunch of people in power actually playing games with?
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
It’s pretty suspicious when you look at it, honestly. You can see they’re outmaneuvering both the newcomers and the younger generation combined when it comes to how they justify dumping money into real estate—all while claiming it’s going to benefit the public in the end 😁
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
And on top of all that, they think they can just boss people around... I honestly don't know how they even came up with that idea. It's left me feeling pretty stunned. ☕

Chloe Martinez7 said:The mother of the local Republican Party leader is headed to prison, yet the Department is being tight-lipped about whether she’s actually started serving her sentence.

Vinka Luetić Herman In a final, binding ruling, Vinka Luetić Herman—who previously headed the audit committee for disability claims at the Social Security Administration—was found to have engaged in morally deviant behavior to boost her own net worth, all in direct violation of the law. The wife of once-influential Republican member Radoslav Herman and mother of the current president of the Republican branch in Scranton, Mislav Herman. She’s been sentenced to sixteen months in prison for bribery. According to Time, who obtained the full verdict—which became final on February 28, 2020—there are still plenty of unanswered questions and massive gaps in the case. If anything, though, this whole mess just highlights the unbreakable link between the judicial system and the Republican Party whenever they need to protect one of their own.

It’s frankly scandalous that the Department of Justice is keeping this under wraps. We still don't know if Mislav Herman’s mother has actually started serving her prison sentence—a sentence handed down by a final ruling that, according to Time, was kept from the American public for a year and a half. In other high-profile cases involving names like Horvatinčić, Sanders, or Širić, the public was entitled to know exactly when convicts were sent to serve their time, or if they weren't, why they were being delayed and how many times it happened. Yet, in this specific case—which is incredibly politically sensitive—the Department is choosing silence. It’s particularly messy because Mislav Herman is currently the most visible political figure in the Herman family, and the whole clan has been tied to the Republican Party for decades. They essentially represent the core of the establishment.

According to a report from Time, things are getting messy with the investigation into the former boss's mother. It seems like the FBI is digging deep into how certain funds were handled, and the implications for those involved are pretty significant. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if the Department of Justice decides to make a move, but honestly, it feels like this could drag on forever. Maybe there's more to the story than what's being reported right now, but for now, the scrutiny remains intense.

I'm really hoping to see some journalists dig into this—like, why isn't the lady actually behind bars yet?

Emily Smith6 said:Remember that Republican who asked, "What would you like to be?" The FBI just dropped the criminal charges against him.

"Based on the investigations conducted, it was determined that the conversation took place before the local elections were even announced. Furthermore, it was established that the independent councilman in the Scranton city council did not hold the status of a county assembly member, which is a crucial element of the reported criminal offense. Specifically, for the crime of bribing a representative to occur, the person being offered, promised, or given a bribe must actually hold the position of a representative or council member within that specific legislative body at the time they are expected to vote a certain way upon the briber's request," the FBI stated.

They also added that during the investigation, several statements were taken from various individuals, all of which indicated that no concrete actions were taken following the conversation in an attempt to favor the independent councilman in the Scranton city council.

God, this country is unbelievable... just forget it.

So, we finally managed to track down the solution that the Republicans have been scrambling to put together after dragging their feet for six months now 😁

Emily Smith6 said:A Republican crony gets a job at a city firm, and now he’s moving into City Hall

The newly appointed head of the Department of Budget, Finance and Collection is Ante Vojvodić, a staunch Republican and the close personal connection of Mayor Mate Franković.

The facts are pretty straightforward: the Mayor first landed his buddy a spot at the largest municipal utility in town, then eventually pulled him into his inner circle as the finance chief. Meanwhile, the guy has been holding down a position at a state-run corporation that seems to lose money year after year.

I suppose it’s just business as usual when it comes to looking out for your own.

Donald Trump claims he has absolutely no idea what happened, so I guess it just doesn't count then☕

Even that little punk Herman didn't bother to check if schools were being owed money while they were running things in Washington, D.C., so apparently that doesn't count either.
I think I finally figured out why his mother still isn't behind bars—he knows about it, so as far as he's concerned, it's like the verdict doesn't even exist.🤷

Just look at how the members of these criminal circles raise their kids, and compare the sentences their children get versus what the rest of us bottom-feeders receive.

But hey, as long as they have their loyal voters, right?👍

Give me a break...
Back when politicians used to spit on voters—treating them like the same immoral trash as the people they’re voting for, since only thieves vote for thieves—you’d always see these offended types jumping in to call out the "other side" for slander.
Sound familiar?

Nicholas King said:Tomislav Osman will undoubtedly clear all of this up for us.

They haven't given anyone a free pass yet—I suspect they’ll give those other fairy tales some serious thought before committing to anything.

Once he finally decides to screw everything up on his way out to retirement... 🙄

Nicholas King said:What exactly would you want to be?

That’s just how things are done these days, I suppose.

Anyway, what was that about filing a report against Unknown?
