I think they said there wouldn't be any screens to watch the game on, but since everyone’s been blowing up the FBI with questions, they might just scramble to make something happen at the last minute. We haven't dealt with anything like this before, though as far as I know, our game hasn't overlapped with the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival until this year...

It was posted on Facebook. Too bad it’s common knowledge by now that if you aren't on Facebook, you basically don't exist... 🙂

Man, I'm being more helpful here than I am with those stupid Irish punk bands... 😁

Thanks a lot 🙂 I checked the FBI site but couldn't find anything there either...🤷
I can't find any info on this anywhere, so if anyone can help me out... I see the opening acts start at 8:00 PM, but when do the Murphys actually take the stage?
Strange question, but when you grabbed tickets during the general sale (after that special deal with the Medveščak game bundles), did yours say they were for the fan party? I assumed those labels only applied to the special offer, but now that I'm back home, I realized mine say it too...
quietbison86 said:I’m watching how much Americans worship him, especially when you compare him to... Beyond magnificent... It’s a complete joke... this lineup is so massive it isn't even worth reading... 😂
Besides, I bet they still have at least ten better festivals back home...

With the price of a Glastonbury ticket, you could basically fly round-trip to New York City, grab a pass for Coachella, and still have enough left over to get absolutely wasted for three days straight... Sure, they book much bigger headliners, but if you're watching your budget, Coachella or any other decent US festival works just fine... 🙂

Personally, I went ahead and bought... Early bird gets the worm, they say... if you even care about the worm... Still looking for tickets... $83Honestly, it’s basically the same price I'd pay just to see a handful of those bands individually... It's a steal in my opinion... Hardly feels like you're getting much value for the money anymore... Just another day in the grind... 🙂
Anyone happen to have a clip or photo of the singer from Atlantic Ocean smashing a beer bottle over his head? 😁
I’ve also got a few of these vouchers lying around at home that I won't be using (already grabbed my ticket 🙂) so if anyone needs one, just shoot me a DM...

ARCAAAAAAAADEEEEEEEEEE FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were incredible, maybe even the best show I've ever seen... Sadly, out in the Suburbs, it felt like everyone around me suddenly had some life-altering conversation to finish, though luckily they finally shut up and gave the band the attention they deserved 😉

Good thing I showed up early so I didn't have to wait in line for wristbands, though I was already pretty wiped out by the time Jamiroquai finished, but whatever 😁

Back in 2004, Arcade Fire’s debut basically swept every major year-end list out there, from Rolling Stone to Pitchfork. They hadn't even broken into the MTV crowd yet, but they had already completely conquered the music scene... everyone from the indie kids to the rock critics was obsessed. Even U2 was feeling it—they used to kick off every show on the Vertigo Tour with "Wake Up" from Funeral. Eventually, Arcade Fire ended up opening for U2 on that same tour...
Just look at how much they've grown since then. There's zero chance they'd ever be an opening act again... now it's just left to Interpol and Snow Patrol to handle the warm-up duties... maybe even the Museum if they end up playing in the States...
It honestly doesn't matter if people aren't aware they picked up a Grammy for Album of the Year this year. It’s the big one. Maybe it just shows that anyone who hasn't heard of them is out of the loop when it comes to what's actually happening in the music scene, but it doesn't change how much Arcade Fire matters today...
I think they're actually great, though their second album falls a bit flat for me since it's only halfway decent. Everyone raves about how incredible they are live, but seeing them at Joss Holland was more than enough to convince me...
When you look at what’s actually shaping the music scene today—setting aside the massive pop juggernauts like Lady Gaga or Beyoncé—I don't think anyone carries as much weight as those guys. And honestly, probably Animal Collective too. No single band touches the level of influence Radiohead once had, but they're still the most prominent ones around. Maybe Animal Collective pushes their specific sound even harder; you can hear traces of it even on the latest Sufjan Stevens record, though Arcade Fire is definitely in that same orbit...

All things considered, I'm just counting down the days until I can finally hear them live... 🙂

👍

Arcade Fire is everything. Honestly, I'm kicking myself for only getting into them a year ago, but you can imagine how stoked I was when I heard they were hitting Coachella... 😲 😲 😲 😍 😍 😍

I’d drop all that cash just to see them... plus getting to catch Cave and Jamiroquai live would be a nice bonus, even if those bands aren't exactly my usual go-to... 😁

Man, if they actually pull off a zero day—though honestly, that ship has probably already sailed—it would perfectly coincide with my exam schedule exactly as it stands... 😁
