Exactly my point. Back when things were heating up with Iran, Separation swept up every award in sight. It’s the same story as when "Osama" cleaned up at the Golden Globes back in the early 2000s.

It’s a decent enough movie, though I can't say it blew me away—not even close to how much I liked A Separation. It’s high quality, sure, but does it feel a bit hollow to anyone else? A solid 7/10 from me.

Look, Fight Club is just on another level entirely. As much as I love The Godfather Part I, 12 Angry Men, The Shawshank Redemption, or even Goodfellas, nothing touches it.

Maybe it’s more about the book than the movie itself, but damn, it’s still a masterpiece.
