Every time I convince myself they’ve finally hit rock bottom, they somehow manage to surprise me by digging even deeper.

Between today and yesterday, we’ve witnessed the most blatant, shameless trading I’ve seen in all my years following this scene; it's as if they've completely abandoned any sense of dignity...

It isn't hard to imagine Saucha sitting in some dimly lit room with someone acting friendly, just explaining that he's a bit too soft to handle a long stint in prison 🤣

Keith Miller30 said:To be perfectly honest, that is exactly how I view those aligned with the Democratic Party; I simply don't see any viable alternative, unless you count those who oppose the other side purely by default.

Regarding Milanović, I don't really see him as a Churchillian figure for this group, though perhaps Bernardi fits that mold given his youth. Milanović essentially has just one redeeming quality: that specific brand of eloquence mixed with a hint of arrogance, making him quite the effective political troll. Plenković proved yesterday, however, that he is more than capable of navigating those waters. Despite how thin and uninspired he might appear, it turns out he is actually quite energetic, and perhaps even a dangerous player.

By the way, Pernar previously claimed that Saucha was being coerced and promised to vote against the removal of Marić, and he followed through on that; only time will tell what the real story is.

Look, let's be real—I think we're both right here. Both sides are acting pretty much the same way... though personally, I'm really not feeling either side...

restlesssurfer97 said:Look, I’m judging his honesty based on how he carries himself, which is pretty subjective, but honestly, yesterday's performance really drove it home for me. The biggest "crime" they tried to pin on him—after months of people digging through everything they could find—was that preferential interest rate, which, if you look at the actual law, he was totally entitled to, but according to Morris's moral compass, apparently, it's just wrong.

As for whether he knows what he's doing, again, that's just my own take, and since I'm obviously no Wall Street expert, my opinion doesn't carry much weight anyway; I'm just someone watching his moves from the sidelines. 🙂

I'm more than happy to hear your side of things and change my mind if your arguments make sense. 🙂

A preferential interest rate isn't exactly a crime, but approving a $45 million loan through the Federal Reserve is another story entirely. Since he was the chairman of the board at the Federal Reserve, he would have been briefed on every single one of those disbursements. No sane American bank would have handed out a loan like that to any subsidiary of Walmart back then, especially when everyone already knew the money wouldn't be paid back...

It’s the exact same story with Dalić—it's a total conflict of interest. Her husband sits on the board at ExxonMobil, where his interests are basically the polar opposite of what's best for America... you can see it from the view up in an airplane...

Not to sound biased, but the whole situation with Vrdoljak, those contractors, his wife's company, and Duke Energy is just as terrible...

It's all just typical American business...

Biden's performance was on a whole different level compared to everyone else, and he actually showed some backbone, proving he's got what it takes.
The runner-up for me was definitely Yellen.

Look, sorry, but all those conspiracy theories floating around claiming Yellen is somehow related to Trump or that she was specifically put there just to bail out Walmart... man, that’s some straight-up lizard people nonsense right there.

Walmart has been expanding and dominating through pretty much every administration we've had in the US, and it just so happens that Yellen is exactly who the Treasury Department needs right now, serving as Secretary (because let's face it, that's the only way to actually pull the strings) to step in and save them. Yeah, sure, keep dreaming.

To me, Yellen seems like one of those rare, genuinely decent, level-headed, and capable people, and honestly, we could really use more folks like her.

As things stand, this administration is headed for a collapse, but I’m just not seeing what the Democratic Party stands to gain from all this since they were the ones who kicked the whole thing off—I don't see how they benefit from calling for snap elections.

Marić is certainly great at public speaking, but what makes you think he’s competent and sincere?...

Keith Miller30 said:To me, Bernardić comes across as a very capable and intelligent individual, but his struggle lies in the fact that he lacks that certain political "edge" or ruthlessness that someone like Milanović possessed. Don't get me wrong, I don't exactly hold Milanović in high regard, but you have to give him credit where it's due, regardless of how you feel about him.

But really, who is the alternative to Bernardić? If they actually want to take power, they simply don't have anyone with the necessary weight for the role. They had Milanović, who was ten steps ahead of everyone else in the party, and then they have Bernardić, who is genuinely smart but perhaps unsuited for this specific arena. Then there is Ostojić, though if they ran with him, the right wing and the centrists would likely reject them even more aggressively. Maybe Picula, who is clearly an intelligent man and seems like a reasonable person, but he seems unwilling to leave his current post, so you're stuck.

It feels like a worn-out party that has run out of ideas, talent, and vision. Their only saving grace is that, much like the Republican Party, they will always have a loyal base combined with those people who simply can't stand the opposition and vote for them as the "lesser of two evils."

As for Maras, he is a complete clown and arguably one of the most ridiculous politicians out there. I caught him on ESPN yesterday, and the level of nonsense he is capable of spewing is almost supernatural.

By the way, I noticed that Marić is now apparently Todorić's nephew; just last week, he was being called Todorić's son. At this rate, within a week, Marić will probably be Todorić's father. 🤣

Honestly, all these political parties are pretty much useless... I really don't get how anyone could actually want the Republican Party to clean things up in America after everything that's happened. It’s just obvious they're neck-deep in corruption every single term they serve. You can only support them if you're incredibly stubborn or if you've been getting a piece of the pie from them...

So, Marić handed todorićev about $45 million in credit through HBOR, and let’s be real—that money is never coming back. It's like he had no clue what kind of mess he was walking into. Not to mention how they went about rigging those factoring laws... I mean, what are we even talking about here? todorićev was straight-up bribing Rohatinski by buying out worthless companies from his wife, yet nobody ever bothered to look into that. Now everyone is asking why on earth Marić would leave a $75,000 salary just to take this position. This whole country is a total circus, honestly... just a complete disaster...

I still think the bridge is the most logical and fair way to go. Even with all of Joe Biden's flaws and those absolute nightmare ministers he had on his team, he’s basically Churchill compared to what we saw with Kosorica...

P.S. Wait, is Unai Emery working for the president now?

That is exactly how Unai would phrase it if he had actually won a title with Sevilla 👍

rapidstag2 said:It’s entirely plausible, and their track record suggests they simply run a countdown for these poor souls who find themselves standing before the cameras, forced to make split-second decisions regarding the fate of their entire business empires... or perhaps they just throw a tantrum and snatch their offer back because someone else is looking to cut into their slice of the pie. 😁Who knows? Maybe they reached out to Herjavec, but he wasn't interested. It isn't as if he's constantly throwing deals on the table, and even when he does, he usually gets shot down anyway. 🤣It really is a shame they aren't bringing in Kutcher more frequently instead of that Uberuberuber guy.

I honestly cannot wrap my head around the sheer level of nonsense being broadcast there; I suppose because the market is so massive, people are willing to swallow just about any kind of garbage.

Look, it can't be easy being the smart one in the room; you have to take people at their word when they talk about their businesses, or so I've read. I think they walked away from some deals simply because things weren't looking like they were presented...

Herjavec is probably the least wealthy among them, which might be why they brush him off, especially since Cuban is still the most attractive option on average...

Still, as an investment platform, it's pretty impressive. I believe they've surpassed $100 million in investments and created about 10,000 jobs...

Totally, it makes your head spin seeing the kinds of products they handle over there. The market is huge, and even with the struggling folks, there's plenty of middle class and wealthy people. Here in America, it feels like everything revolves around tourism, bakeries, used car lots, debt collection, and cheap goods of every kind...🤣

rapidstag2 said:Are you actually suggesting that Shark Tank is worth watching?

To be fair, I find myself tuning in every Saturday; while it hasn't quite captured the magic it once did, it remains perfectly acceptable. We even have one of our own people appearing on the show. 👍

My internet was acting up, I didn't mean to repeat myself like that...😁

It’s different now because the panel of wealthy investors is much more experienced, which makes it interesting. And honestly, props to Herjavec—it's wild that nobody has reached out to get him involved with American startups. Then again, knowing how things work around here, he probably saw what happened with Walmart and decided to steer clear...

It seems like Billy Bob has become practically invisible to me during this second season, hasn't he? ☕

And there you have it—that was just the first season. 😁

Noah Roberts46, you're absolutely right—taste is entirely subjective, isn't it? I find myself thinking about revisiting *It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia*, though if my memory serves me correctly, I gave up on it after just the first episode of the first season. Perhaps if I had given it a little more breathing room, I might have actually found it enjoyable? It reminds me of how I handled *Sons of Anarchy* a few years back; I watched the pilot, dismissed it as nonsense, and thought to myself, "There's no way I'm going to sit through a show about bikers." But then, by some stroke of luck, I stumbled upon a couple more episodes and realized it was actually one of the most brilliant series ever made. I suppose I might have made the same mistake with *House of Cards*, deciding not to watch it after that first episode, even though everyone says it's quite good.

James Anderson5, I find myself quite curious about how the IT sector actually operates, especially since I’m not in that world and have no real sense of how much reality aligns with what we see on screen. If you ever want to get a feel for the high-stakes atmosphere of VC, you might find it interesting to watch Billions.

I prefer Shark Tank; it feels like the real world. Billions is just way too much preaching, based on the few episodes I've actually sat through. There aren't any likable characters or even a bit of humor, unlike in Silicon Valley...

If I had to pick from some of the more recent series, I really enjoyed Stranger Things...

I took a look at Billions and watched about half an episode, but I wasn't really feeling it... There’s just way too much posturing, and I couldn't find anyone to root for or even a decent bit of humor...

Honestly, if you want to see how the VC world actually works, it's way better to just watch Shark Tank... that's the real world, not some TV series...

I really liked House of Cards, especially those first couple of seasons, but then it just got way too unrealistic...

I honestly thought Stranger Things was better than most of the newer shows out there...

As for Fargo, it’s a masterpiece; the way BBT handled things during that second season was nothing short of brilliant. 🙏

I actually really like Silicon Valley. It’s not even because it’s funny, but more because it does such a great job capturing the whole venture capital scene and the teams surrounding them. You almost never see anything like that here in America, given the way our economy is set up...

I was just reading this earlier this morning and I honestly can't believe it...

This guy was working at the European Union Parliament making about $3,500 a month, and he was sexually abusing his two dogs over at Knezija...

He was leading these disgusting conversations in both English and American, spanning at least 34 different email threads. He’d be sending photos of dogs in sexual situations with random guys, focusing on genitals, and he clearly had this whole weird sadomasochistic thing going on involving dogs and adult toys... As for what I know about him? He's single, doesn't have a girlfriend, and seems pretty timid and withdrawn...

It’s a shame we don't have the death penalty here in America...

But what I really can't wrap my head around are these politicians. They stand up there, acting like big shots, promising they’re going to shake things up and clean house, only to sit on their hands once they actually get into office. They talk a massive game about stirring the pot, but when it comes down to it? They won't even lift a finger. Is it all just theater, or are they actually that paralyzed?

It’s wild how they claim to have no clue about the economy when so many people are just coasting off the same system... 😁

Regarding the brain drain, I think I read that more people have left during this Republican Party and Bridge Party era than under Milanovic, so it seems the Republican Party doesn't even see it as a real issue—it's just something they toss out as a talking point during election season...

As for the economy, the Democratic Party inherited a complete wreck from the Republican Party. Anyone who actually understands economics knows that after the mess left behind by Sanders and those budget cuts, you can't really expect much for the next couple of years...

It's not like they didn't make some decent moves while in power, though. They lowered the sales tax on tourism (which the Republican Party basically rolled back), and they tried to get some order into public companies like HPB, which the Republican Party ended up completely gutting...

It isn't that they didn't want to tackle other things, but the public just tore them apart for trying, like when they looked into monetizing the highways...

Personally, I feel like any of these parties end up being bad for America, and I don't see a single viable option on the horizon with a vision like this...

Michelle Palmer6 said:Let’s be real here—the Democratic Party was never actually a player in this game. Not during the first round, and certainly not after the second. Let's not kid ourselves!

It's true, there were even news reports saying they'd crucify him if he chose Zoki, and honestly, a lot of it was probably pre-arranged when they filmed Oreskovic buying an apartment in Washington, D.C. just months before the election

Adam Williams2 said:But what kind of vision was there actually when Zoki was in charge? Was it just Plan 21?

I mean, there wasn't really a vision back then either; Zoki was more of a personality, sort of like Sanders—someone you could easily watch and follow. He’s pretty bold and, well, maybe a bit cheeky too, which is just how he is. 🙄

People get worked up over it, things get heated, and honestly, once you look at the whole mess, it’s just a big chaotic scramble. 🙂

I guess I wonder how many complaints, criminal or otherwise, you've personally filed within your own circles... I mean, it's almost impossible not to know about some behind-the-scenes maneuvering.

I haven't filed any myself, though I definitely know about plenty of fraud and shady dealings—I just can't prove them, obviously. So, I think it's actually pretty brave whenever someone files a report against the "big players," even if it is someone like Bozo Petrov...

We've gotten so used to nothing happening that when someone actually does something, people just call it populism. It feels like nothing we do is ever considered right.🙄

He didn't really have a vision; it was more like every other administration where most ministers just did whatever they thought was smartest or served their own interests. At every election, it felt more like choosing the lesser of two evils, and historically, the Democratic Party was usually the lesser evil. Still bad, but slightly less so, and since they had a more liberal and appealing worldview, people tended to prefer them more...

Jessica Gonzalez said:I don't really see where Milanovic fits into that equation. The Democratic Party isn't offering anything—neither changes nor solutions to problems. If they were involved, maybe the Bridge Party would struggle, but the Democratic Party is a party without perspective or any real power; even the Liberal Party managed to completely derail them within a year. The Liberal Party wasn't even a factor a year ago. I guess you can just forget about Milanovic and the Democratic Party; that chapter seems closed.

I think you're missing the point. While the Democratic Party might not offer much (just like the Republican Party or the Bridge Party), being Prime Minister means you hold the reins and decide how things go. If they tried to obstruct you, you could just walk away from the coalition whenever you wanted. You can't get a better position than Prime Minister if you actually want to make moves. If the Bridge Party really had any ambition or a plan, they should have taken that deal...

Personally, I think the Democratic Party would be more willing to compromise and push for change than the Republican Party, mostly because they’re chasing small political perks and have less skin in the game when it comes to keeping local politics exactly as it is...

But everything has changed now because the Democratic Party lost its entire vision once Zoki left...
