Peter Thompson4 said:It’s easy for people living abroad to talk, but what about the locals right here in the States who keep voting for these absolute thieves? Instead of this party just quietly fading into irrelevance, they’re still running circles around us back home. 🤦
Way to go, Republicans 👋
Maybe for once we’ll actually get someone in office who genuinely wants to see some positive change in this godforsaken country 👍
Jessica Gonzalez said:Politics is mostly a game, and I guess the Republicans were the first ones to really figure that out, which is probably why they grabbed power so quickly. They work hard to secure those votes from Americans living abroad because they know how much they matter. It’s essentially a battle, and in a fight for control, you have to use every tool at your disposal. The Democrats, on the other hand, seem pretty ineffective when it comes to reaching out to our fellow citizens overseas.

Honestly, I find myself sympathizing more with a relic of a Communist from the seventies voting for the hardliners, or some socially awkward conservative sticking to his guns with the Tea Party or Liberty Caucus, rather than someone voting Democrat or Republican. At least when they vote for the extremists, they're doing it with their whole hearts; whereas the mainstream party voters are just doing it out of spite, to pick the lesser of two evils, or just to grab a beer with their buddies.
Besides, we have to give credit where it's due—that one ultra-conservative activist really managed to charm the liberal NGO scene here in the States. If it weren't for the sheer ego of the leftists and the messy cooperation between those two major parties, that ballot initiative for election law reform—which was actually a decent idea—would have passed. Unlike the first one, I actually signed that one myself; I would have voted for it.
The bottom line is that there are plenty of high-quality individuals like those moderate voices or certain principled senators, but in this massive, bloated political machine, they just can't get a word in edgewise.
Robin Fox2 said:The current administration has managed to oversee the most disastrous term of any U.S. president in recent memory. They’ve successfully steered this nation toward the same level of economic ruin seen in places like Argentina or Venezuela, which is quite an achievement if you think about it... If Karamarko were still leading the GOP, they'd probably be polling under 10% right now, making him look like a complete joke by comparison.
In short, things are looking bright, but we're all doomed.
Rachel Cooper3 said:That’s just a convenient excuse for people too embarrassed to admit they're actually Democrats. ☕

Amanda Evans2 said:In my twenties, I was primarily concerned with performing well in bed. By my thirties, the focus shifted toward... well, let's just say physical intimacy became more about stamina. But now? Now, at this stage of life, the only thing that truly matters is being able to handle a massive, catastrophic blowout without losing my mind. Those are just the years we get...

Picture this: a teenager from the States shows up to meet the big boss, Silvio, to negotiate a transfer, doesn't speak a lick of Italian or English, and instead of a boardroom meeting, "Dad" takes him on a tour of his personal tomb. What kind of trip is that? 🙏
Speaking of trips, ESPN published that same interview with Boban and then immediately fired him because of it. Talk about a total meltdown of common sense.
Larry Fox5 said:Man, seeing how much Zvonimir has grown up as a person... what a great interview. It actually gives you a little hope that maybe things aren't totally rotten in this country after all... 🙏
Robin Fox2 said:I’m out here washing my car when some guy just pulls in cold, parks right where he shouldn't, and walks off... The staff ends up hauling him halfway across town because he skipped the line, wasting fifteen minutes of everyone's time while he throws a fit 🤣 🤣 🤣 meanwhile, those of us actually waiting just sit there watching the clock tick away 🤣
Anyone planning on seeing that new movie about Mars starring Damon? It looks decent enough, though I feel like we've been hit with an exhausting wave of space movies over the last couple of years
Keith Miller30 said:1. Do you actually have a concrete link or any real evidence for this, or are we just supposed to take the word of "The New York Times"—which, let's face it, seems to adore the Republican Party more than anything else in the world?🙏 On top of all that, they are citing some Mexican agency, the Associated Press.🙏
Could you at least show a little respect and provide something substantial? Where can we actually see that KGK concluded the US was at fault for the crisis? But no, apparently it doesn't matter if the quote was taken out of context, 🙏 it doesn't matter if The New York Times is reporting it, 🙏 and it doesn't matter if they are relying on the Associated Press. 🙏 If the Associated Press claims KGK concluded the US is to blame, then I guess that must be the absolute truth, right?🙏
2. So, who is responsible in your eyes? Is it that clown of a Prime Minister who seems completely lost and can't even keep his own story straight? The kind of leader who starts with one narrative and then immediately pivots to another?
Please, try to be at least as honest as the person claiming that Zoran Milanović is the best thing to ever happen to America. It’s true, he needed some time to truly step out of the shadows, but at least the man speaks plainly about the reality of things. Meanwhile, you keep typing away because you're terrified the Republican Party might regain power—not because you actually love the Democratic Party (heaven forbid), but simply because you view the Republicans as the greater evil.☕
And by the way, just as a quick reminder—Tomislav Karamarković sued Manolica, just so it's noted, since you were so adamant that wouldn't happen.
Anyway, moving on, I've watched two excellent films recently:
Ex Machina — a sci-fi masterpiece, a solid 10/10 for me.
Redirected — a comedy with some wild scenes, also a 10/10.
I considered deleting this post, but I decided against it; I won't dwell on politics anymore, but I simply couldn't resist responding to this specific point. I can certainly talk more about movies, or series—there's a great new one out regarding the subject, Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper.🙏
