I picked up this Dell XPS 15 at the same shop just two weeks ago, though mine came with Windows 10. Honestly, I’d highly recommend it—for the price, it’s probably the best buy on the market right now. The whole chassis is aluminum and feels incredibly solid, plus the keyboard is great once you get used to it compared to my old laptop. I have just two small gripes:
1. Personally, I’d prefer a wider number pad since I’m constantly crunching numbers in Excel, but that’s just a matter of getting used to it.
2. I could really use one more USB port, though I knew from the start there were only three. For example, the HP 650 g1 seems to have about five, but it lacks an HDMI port, whereas this one has
if I were buying a new laptop in this price range again, I’d grab this exact same model. Over the last year, I’ve actually gone through about five or six of those HP models mentioned here.
If anyone wants details, just ask... peace out.
I'm wondering how I can change the drive letter for a network location on my PC? Is there any way to do this without having to remap the entire drive? Thanks in advance...
Hi there,
I'm running into an issue with Microsoft Office 2013, specifically in Word. Every time I try to copy data from a table in one document and paste it into a table in a different Word document, the destination table stretches out way too far to the right. Even just trying to insert a row above or below triggers this massive expansion every single time. Is there a setting to make sure everything stays the same size when I paste, or am I stuck doing this manually?
Hey there,
I've run into a small issue that I can't quite figure out (hopefully it's an easy fix). My volume control icon has completely vanished, even though my speakers are working perfectly fine. When I click down by the wireless icon and go into Properties, I see the clock, volume, network, notifications, and Action Center icons—everything works except for the volume one. It won't let me interact with it at all; it just says it's turned off and gives me no way to change it. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
Also, when I go into Customize, volume shows up there, and it's definitely set to show both the icon and notifications...
Thanks
You could probably tighten up those spaces, but they likely just carried over like that from whatever program it was imported from. It wasn't manually spaced out. For example, if you copy and paste a single cell, it looks something like this:
DEBT: 214,980.26 30,545.49 245,525.75 245,525.75
So, here’s the deal: I’ve got this gross balance sheet in Word that isn't organized into any actual tables. It looks like it was probably ripped from some software into text format and then pasted into Word. When I try to move everything over to Excel, all the data just dumps into a single column. Every cell contains several different pieces of information, all spaced out a bit from one another.
Since there's way too much data to manually retype, I was wondering if there's a specific formula or an option that can split each individual data point into its own separate cell?
Thanks
I'm looking to pick up an original copy of Office 2010 for my business. Quick question: if I install Office on one computer, am I able to use that same CD to install Office on other machines later on?
How do I turn on those "invisible" gridlines in a Word table? The ones that don't show up when you print... I'm using the 2010 version. Thanks!
I was wondering if there's some kind of workaround or any sneaky way to get rid of those ads in the old Office Starter 2010? I really want them gone.
