It's not like they reach out to everyone. They haven't contacted me once. I guess there's just no way they can physically manage to cover that many sick people and all those contacts.
Sophia Richardson63 said:Hey, quick question—has anyone here who caught it last December, then got their shots this past May and November, been forced into quarantine just because they were around someone who tested positive? My old man was just slapped with a mandatory isolation order. He’s feeling totally fine and keeps testing negative on those at-home kits, every single time. Now he's going to miss this specialist appointment he's been waiting months for, all because of this quarantine nonsense. Thanks
Drew Johnson2 said:So, how are things looking according to the latest updates... I was wondering about you. A girl in my son’s class is currently waiting on her test results; she’s been dealing with these symptoms since early afternoon, though she was actually at school this past Wednesday. If the call comes through, how can one best reach you until we get everything sorted out?
Thursday would be day one, so I guess the second Saturday would be the last day.

Does anyone have an opinion on any of those places?
I'm not sure if he's still there, but if he is, I'd recommend Professor Schmalcelj over at the Bates clinic. He’s super thorough, answers basically every question you could think of, and even follows up via email after the appointment...
I can recommend getting a dermoscopy done with Dr. Jurakic Toncic over at the Salat location (though they've moved to Johns Hopkins Hospital now). The only real headache is that the wait times for an appointment are pretty brutal, but maybe things have changed since I last checked.
Kimberly Ward said:No, but you have their numbers.
That’s not really a recommendation. People can find clinics and phone numbers online easily enough; what we're actually looking for here are specific, personal recommendations. At least, that's how I've been viewing this whole thread.
I actually sent my own paperwork directly to Medicare myself, rather than having my employer handle it. I got a decision pretty quickly, and the money hit my account on the 18th. I heard—though I haven't officially verified this—that if you get your papers in by the 5th of the month, you get the benefit within that same month. Otherwise, it looks like it lands the following month, probably around the 18th or 19th.
Yeah, you're right. The fact that symptoms started popping up for everyone just two days before really threw me off; I realized that was when the flu started spreading among you all, which felt weird. Sorry
Susan Martin4 said:Isn't it usually about two days before the first symptoms show up? The kid in daycare who tested positive was last there on Wednesday, but everyone who was around him since Monday is heading in for testing.
So, is the first day of quarantine Tuesday for you guys? Our little one’s last day at daycare was Monday, and they counted Tuesday as our first day of isolation.
Contact tracing starts from the moment you last had contact with someone who’s sick. If you were hanging out on Monday and they start showing symptoms within two days, then Tuesday is officially day one of your quarantine. If you live in the same house and haven't isolated yourselves, I guess you're stuck in quarantine for as long as the sick person is isolated—so basically their 10 days plus an extra 10 days after that.
