Wait, you aren't actually talking about playing frisbee, are you?? 🤔

rustyowl4 said:it's not just a waste of money because of the digestive issues, it's actually hard to process... you end up with 50% less protein absorption... which basically means you have to double your intake just to get the same amount of protein you actually need..
Jonathan Miller7 said:Cooking them is definitely the way to go. You really shouldn't be eating raw eggs—it's just not worth risking some nasty stomach bug.
wearyotter81 said:No way! Your liver is going to give out and just turn into dust! Like, literal whey powder! 😁
Jonathan Miller7 said:Look, don't go buying any protein if you're struggling to make ends meet. I'm being dead serious here. 😁

I mean, what's the actual percentage or gram count per serving, and where can I find the raw plant stuff here in the States without having to order it from overseas?

Look, I don't really care if my muscles pop out or whatever, I just want to see that number on the scale go up, 😉
Alex Long8 said:Hey doc, it just hit me—you’re out in California, right? If you happen to be near Pro-Nutrition... they're this local US brand that makes their own protein powders. People rave about them, though honestly, I've never actually tried them myself. I've just heard great things, and the prices are pretty low, too. They're based right around your area, and since they don't really have retail stores everywhere, you can always just order through the mail. But if you do that, the shipping basically makes it cost the same as getting that Microsoft stuff. Still, if you're nearby, it might be worth the trip.
Alex Long8 said:Microsoft actually has their own shop over in downtown Chicago, right near the intersection of Michigan Ave and... I can't remember the exact cross street, maybe near one of those big transit hubs.😁
If you end up going with Microsoft, you can actually snag a 20% discount if you group up with the crew from that other forum where we all place massive bulk orders together. Getting 2.2 kg works out to be $107 which is honestly a steal. Plus, they sometimes throw in freebies when you're dropping that kind of cash—like a t-shirt or some vitamins or something...
Alex Long8 said:Listen, man, that Labrador proV60 stuff? It looks like it's pure casein. The label says it’s best to take it right before bed, so I just went with that and didn't bother looking any deeper.
You should really do a quick Google search on the difference between whey and casein; you'll see the difference immediately. Basically, what you have there isn't meant for post-workout recovery.
After you hit the gym, you need whey. Personally, I swear by Microsoft.
It’s easy on the wallet, mixes super smooth, tastes great, and the protein ratio is solid—you get 24g per 30g scoop. Plus, it doesn't use aspartame, which is a sweetener I absolutely can't stand. As for how it sits in your stomach? Totally fine. I usually deal with some pretty bad digestive issues from certain protein powders, but this one hasn't caused me any trouble at all. The flavor is spot on, too.
If you want to be extra, you can probably hunt down a discount if you order from them.

They even have larger tubs available.
Scott Chase said:Honestly, any of those whey proteins I listed above will do the job just fine. Is there really a massive difference if you're just looking to hit your macros? Not really. 😁 Right now, I'm running on Inkorpor Extreme Whey, but I've already got my eye on the Isologic from Microsoft for the next round. Honestly, why settle for anything less when you can level up? 😉
Scott Chase said:Is it better? Honestly, maybe. But we’re talking about tiny little technicalities here—the kind of stuff that doesn't really move the needle for most people. I mean, if you're just your average gym rat trying to get through a workout, does any of this even matter? Probably not. It's all just fine-tuning. You only really need to start sweating the small stuff once you actually know what you're doing and realize how much a subpar setup can totally ruin your progress. Until then, why overcomplicate things? 😁 Honestly, if you look at brands like Labrador, Inkorporated, Microsoft, or Dymatize, they’re all basically cut from the same cloth. I don't see why anyone bothers making such a big deal out of the differences between them. It’s all pretty much the same stuff, right? I have this one buddy of mine who is absolutely obsessed—for him, it’s Weider or nothing. Everything else is just garbage in his eyes. Does it really matter which one you pick if they all get the job done? 🙄
People just love to overthink things, don't they? It’s like we have this weird, collective urge to turn the simplest little life moments into some deep, heavy philosophical debate. Why can't we just let things be what they are? Is it because we're bored, or are we just trying too hard to find meaning where there isn't any? I don't know, I guess some people just need that extra layer of complexity to feel like they're actually doing something with their brains.
Scott Chase said:The main thing is that it's a slow-digesting protein... which makes it ideal right before bed. It seems like a solid option, but man, it’s pretty pricey. You can easily find an equivalent substitute elsewhere.
