Honestly, nothing about this surprises me at all. 🙏🙏

Ryan Vaughn7 said:Not really. If you walk from Kvátrice to Times Square right now, you won't even run into fifty people along the way. Just my personal observation, happens every single day.

But that embankment is absolutely packed. I haven't seen that many people there in forever.

I haven't been to Jarun, or Maximilians, or Bundek, but if Rakitje was swarmed last week, I can only imagine what it's like over there.

I'm not judging, honestly. It's good that people are getting out, walking around; I think that's a positive thing. I just doubt this pace will continue once the bars and shopping malls reopen, though. Probably won't.

Right now, they've got nowhere else to go but outdoors, so that's that. Where else are the folks from Kvartrić supposed to go instead of Times Square? There isn't anywhere.

Just wanted to share a decent little write-up about some total nonsense, just so we can take a breather from all the heavy, serious stuff going on in the world for a second.

- The issues surrounding permits and people just trying to meet their basic needs might have actually created a new sensibility here. It’s sharpened the awareness that our current territorial setup has hit its limit and is honestly just causing more harm than good, Koprić told us.

The sheer amount of ignorance and laziness among Americans is staggering. People only seem to wake up when something as mundane as permit issues happens. Only then do they realize anything is wrong.

The absolute worst part is how religious communities just do whatever they want, and almost always, they get away with it without facing any consequences at all.

Take what happened yesterday. This guy spent a whole week announcing he was going to hold Holy Mass, yet there wasn't a single law enforcement officer in sight to stop him. What really kills me is that if you dare criticize his decision, suddenly you're the idiot, the jerk, or some kind of monster.

Then you've got that supposedly "honorable" nun who came back from Italy, wandered around a bit, went to a spiritual retreat or whatever... all while hiding the fact she’d even been in Italy so she wouldn't have to deal with a 14-day quarantine. The reaction? Oh, she's our saintly sister, no harm done. I guess if anyone else had pulled that, they would have been crucified.

Or look at those people taking communion from the same spoon over in Mexico.

And honestly, the list goes on.

Most of this crowd are older priests who think they're untouchable just because they've been around long enough to feel entitled to everything.

When you call out this kind of behavior, people act like you're attacking everything—the church, God, faith, science. They'll even claim you're a secret FBI informant.

All those labels like ''FBI'' and stuff like that 🤣

That's my favorite part to read 👋

Almost as much as reading those ridiculous fabrications by Ribi 👋

Back in the nineties, we were baptizing adults en masse; we practically needed a tanker truck to handle all that water.

Just give me a break.

But whatever, I guess COVID isn't really the main story anymore anyway.😍

Paul Sanders5 said:Some guy on a forum claimed there was a massive spike in deaths during the first three months of the last three years just to mess with Italians, but hey, we’ll probably take his word for it—even though it’s super easy to fact-check if you actually bother 😁

The death counts are basically the same, somewhere around 100 and some change thousand, so there isn't really any huge jump or anything 😁

The haters would probably argue that without quarantine, those numbers would have been way higher.

Elizabeth Mendoza said:At this point, those are probably all just internal cases where it spreads among family members and stuff.

Who really knows what the situation is over there? We don't have the actual data, so maybe people are still out wandering around just like they are here. At least Americans reacted in time, so we didn't see that massive sudden spike. That part was handled pretty well by the authorities.

But they did it—they took those countries with high infection rates and ran way more tests. Like, double the amount of the next group, so I suppose it's no surprise they have so many positive cases.

Still, I don't see quarantine doing much.

Empty cities, this and that, nobody is out anywhere, then boom, 4,000 new cases.

The Italians went into quarantine back on March 9th.

Today, there are 4,000 new infections.

It makes sense that numbers dropped by maybe 1,000 or 2,000, since there aren't really many people left to catch it.☕

But I don't really see any sign that their quarantine is actually working.🤷

There is a massive, undeniable difference between someone accidentally bumping your phone and someone straight-up beating the hell out of you, but hey, feel free to keep playing down the severity of it all if that makes you feel better.

Go ahead, throw in gang initiations or something, maybe cutting nails or whatever else you want to call it...

I guess Donald Trump actually held his own through all that.🙏🙏🤣

And honestly, this whole schizophrenic mess? They got exactly what they were looking for.🙏 🙏

Who cares about Rupert Murdoch? He got exactly what he asked for.🙏🙏

ZZ flipped the script on this one 🤣

Sure, she got what she wanted; she got her scandal.

But let's not pretend getting hit was actually what she was after. I mean, come on, we can't be that naive, right? 😁

If the cops gunned you down after you broke into a precinct to film them, you'd probably be telling everyone you got exactly what you deserved
🤷

From what I understand about the Privacy Act, nobody is allowed to film you without your permission.

Whether you expected it or not, they don't have any say in what happens to her.

brightpilot6 said:Of course she was looking for a story; that’s literally what a journalist does. And honestly, she found one just by the sheer fact that the mice were being kept there in the first place.

Yet, according to your logic, she was also looking for aggression. It’s actually quite surprising to see such a stance—it feels dangerous when people make these kinds of sweeping judgments from a distance without really thinking it through. Isn't it essentially providing a moral excuse for anyone who happens to dislike a certain reporter to just label them as nitpicky or something similar?

I suppose we should apply that same logic to all the journalists who faced heat from folks like Bandic or Mamic, shouldn't we? At the end of the day, they simply got exactly what they went looking for.

Come on, quit the bullshit.🤣
