Let's be real—in terms of pure individual talent, we belong at the top, maybe two steps ahead of Norway, but our bench depth is nowhere near where it needs to be. Babić hasn't done anything to turn these players into winners. It might be time for him to go light a candle in Lourdes and just get out of the national team. He plays with two pivots and seven guys on the floor, yet his squad can't manage to set up a single block against shots during the whole tournament? What the hell is the point of having two pivots on the line then? Come on, Babić, just pack it up and head back to Belarus already.
You're being relentless about Babić and the lady. Just incredibly exhausting.
So, I guess the Norwegian goalie basically rigged the game—claiming if he hadn't scored, the refs would have handed 7M the win—and then they hit him with a penalty.

Look, I totally get that the government needs to be socially conscious—they should definitely provide for those in need, offer healthcare to everyone, and look after kids with special needs, all that good stuff—BUT... there has to be a limit, because the resources used to fund these things aren't infinite. You can't just keep reaching deeper and deeper into people's pockets indefinitely without risking a total collapse, and right now, it feels like the whole country is teetering right on that edge.
For instance, setting aside any specific political drama, let’s just look at this logically: does income tax really need to go up just because the government is short on cash—specifically because they have dozens of "independent" media outlets that would go belly up without state subsidies? Are those seventy different news organizations really more important than the extra grocery money a regular guy could use to buy fruit for his family if his taxes were just a tiny bit lower? I won't even dive into the rabbit hole of how there's probably some ten-member committee getting huge monthly salaries just to decide which specific seventy outlets get to stay afloat.
I know, I know, I'm just throwing out the income tax and media example because it was mentioned earlier, but there are just way too many these kinds of burdens being placed on taxpayers that aren't even necessary anymore. We should have drawn the line ages ago, and frankly, it's high time we started cutting back on all this bloat that's being tacked onto the public purse.
And then you listen to most of our politicians, and you genuinely walk away with the impression that they don't even grasp where the money in the federal budget actually comes from, like they think some alien civilization is sending spaceships full of cash that they just get to distribute. That's honestly how some of our leaders come across to me. This recent take from Maras is pretty much in that same category.
This is the best post on this topic. And saying they don't realize where the budget money comes from isn't just an impression. It's a reality. They honestly don't have a clue.
